We've both taken our IELTS with results as follows;

I have siblings in Canada while madam doesn't. My siblings are in Ontario.
I've been able to determine my NOC as 21321 – Industrial and manufacturing engineers, which is a TEER 1.

On the strength of the foregoing, we decided that I be the PA. I simulated my CRS and arrived at 466.

However, we're unsure of which of the EE stream to apply for - PNP, FSW General, Category based etc.
We thus solicit your wise counsel on the best pathway forward for us using the above details.

The good thing is that both of you can actually get in the pool. However, due to the competitiveness of EE draws at the moment, you will need to boost your CRS. Try learning and taking the French language test. That can increase your CRS by 50pts and also make you guys qualify for any of the French language category-based draws.

Do all you can to jack up that score and I wish you guys all the best.

For a start, get your WES and IELTS settled. You don't need police report until you are given an ITA.
Check out all the provinces and what they want. NB, Manitoba, Alberta, PEI etc. Check them all out

Hello SemperFid. I understand your situation and trust me, I was in that same thing about 5months ago. However, I never relented. Your profession still falls under healthcare/medical hence you are at an advantage. Being a more matured guy in tech, I watched my CRS decline from 405 to 330 in a space of 2yrs.

Options:
1. French Exam : Take the TEF/TCF french exam. I had to with AllianceFrancais to learn French for 6months. Taking the exams will make you qualify for the category based draws and French is highly sought after in Canada.
2. PNP : Some provinces want health workers so bad. In my case, they also needed tech professionals in New Brunswick, so i researched and attended couple of Info Sessions/webinars to know more about the province. In no time, I received a Notification of Interest then submitted an EOI. Got the Nomination, submitted and within 6days, got ITA with the next draw and a boosted CRS of 913.

For those with CRS of 450 and below, please don't loose hope, PNP and French exam to the rescue

For background check and eligibility, I thought it'd be quick since I have an existing TRV, on which same background check and eligibility had been carried out about 9months ago.

In my case I did my Biometrics in Abuja last year and submitted my port in the same Abuja . I had my yellow Biometrics slip with me but I was still asked to pay transmissions fee despite my yellow slip...the reason the guy gave me was that the Biometrics was done for a previous application. I just paid it to avoid their wahala...Thankfully I've collected my port although I noticed that no one else has had this experience.

Apparently, VFS guys are in it for the money but I guess. they called and told me to mske the 16,540 transmission payment or they'd return my application

You don't book appointment to use courier. I just went to DHL office and paid for it to be delivered to VFS Lagos. They have the checklist with them

Thanks everyone. I submitted today at DHL office. Paid 11k5 for delivery to VFS Lagos. Then another 20k250 to VFS Global logistics for return delivery to me. Transmission fee was not paid since I still have a valid Biometric, which i did in 2017
