And so what will happen
That disgrace of a French president, who cannot stand up against Putin for 3 years by sending troops to Ukraine but fukkin around with his grandmother
You see, has always gone ahead to do the right thing that is controversial at the time.

hugely aided USA, with soldiers and resources, to fight against Britain to gain independence. Find out about the role of General Lafayette of in American War of Independence.

It made the oldest US ally.

At the time, it was appalling to rebels to fight colonial masters, especially as was one of them.
The independence agreement between Britain and US was signed in Paris. The Treaty of Paris, 1783.

One of the 4 people who represented US (but only 3 signed the document), John Adams, became the 2nd President of the US. Others became US Chief Justice, state president (now governor), etc.

Knowing a bit of history goes a long way.

See as they are misspelling Igbo names

It's AMAEHULE OR AMAEFULE (Let my kindred not get lost)

It's NWACHUKWU not WACHUKWU (Child of God)
Stop this distorting of igbo nae in a failing bid to create a different tribe ..IKWERRE IS A SUB SET OF IGBO ...
Deal with it

Prince Jaja Ndubuisi WACHUKU was probably 9ja's best Minister of Foreign Affairs. In fact, he was our pioneer MFA/FM. A man who played a big role in African Union, navigating Apartheid and response to Mandela trial/sentencing, a consummate UN diplomat, etc.

See how his name, son of a prominent Ngwa Igbo monarch in Abia, was spelt. Every language has variations in name spellings.

Hello House, please help I need advice.

I have a girlfriend who's been with me for 2 years, she's a very good girl, respects me to the core, she is beautiful and has no faults, she loves me so much and has also suffered with me even when there was no money and we've been through it all, she's every man's dream and a complete wife material in of character and also a great chef.

Problem is I am not sexually attracted to her, I can be in same room with her for a week and not touch her, even when she's totally naked running around the house.

I'm only attracted to light skin girls with big ass but she's chocolate and average ass, I don't want a sexually boring marriage.

She's good in bed and knows how to make love, but I just don't feel sexually attracted to her, is it because we've been having sex for 2 years? am I tired of her? I don't even know, she has never insulted me, she s me and we hardly have disputes.

I'm just confused.
Dude, you need to decide what's more important to you.

A good woman plus peace of mind OR a woman that meets your sexual fantasies plus any werey antics she may have, and drama. Your choice.

In all, be honest with her. Nor go waste her time and yours.

A crazy but practical idea is polygamy. Tell her you will marry a fair woman with ikebe super in the future. grin cheesy

Your current darkie one will be Iyale that keeps the house running well.

Wait o. Do you even like or love the babe at all?

So, after two years of heavy duty knacking, you just realised her dark skin and pert behind nor dey freak you again? shocked shocked

Seriously though, NEVER marry out of pity. If you do, she will feel you are just managing her. That with her, you settled for less.

That woman could leave you when she upgrades or your fortunes dwindle. Because finally, she can feel higher than your class. Payback time.

Yes, those who killed innocent people should be punished.

But how come nobody is asking to hunt down those who killed 10 mourners in Plateau?

Do those not deserve justice?

Failure of govt to end or drastically reduce banditry and kidnapping, and lack of trust in state agencies, will make people take the law into their own hands.

It's condemnable, but right now, anybody can be a victim.

Not the one that will immediately start looking for another club to exercise Freedom.

So, he should wait and be treated like Osimhen? Always move on when the ovation is high.

The manager is probably apprehensive about enquiries that must have been made this past January about him by clubs. And more to come in the summer.

It was actually Abacha who saved IBB from the Orka coup. Go and ask...
Yep!
IBB could have simply said "considering how often Abacha had saved my ass, I was in a dilemma what to do with him not be an irredeemable ingrate. I just could not muster the balls to retire him, for fear his boys might whoop my ass badly." cheesy cheesy grin grin

This would have been more commendable. As evil and corrupt as Abacha was, he had more integrity and honour than IBB.

I'm a Benin person, but I'll like to know the factuality of this claim.

From my years of knowing that title, it has always been pronounced with the meaning of "...King of Edo" and not "...that shines for edo"., Or was.

But did you ever reflect on the meaning or ask elders for clarification?

In 100 years, our descendants may not know that Edo is only Benin people or was until 1991.

So, so to Benin people, it was always Ivbidu, Ivbigodo and from 1440AD, Ivbiedo.

While some make doctors are perverts, It's actually difficult for male doctors out there, especially male Ob/gnys... always on their toes, lest they get accused of sexual harassment undecided

My question is, was there no female chaperone? You don't examine a female without one. Not in this day and age.

Yes, there are dodgy ones, but also victims. A UK doc narrowly escaped jail because lady who lied against him. The liar wave her anonymity and another doctor who refused her antics saw it in the papers. The lady had a thing for doctors and pursued them for romantic liaisons. But of course, no doc gave in to the middle-aged lady.

So, the doctor who was fed up with her antics and refused her as a patient, came forward just in time to alert the court. The judge later remarked that if not for the new evidence, the doc would most certainly have been jailed.

So imagine if the acc had remain anonymous.

Also imagine if the accused was an immigrant. Even the doc remarked that if he were a foreigner, the other doc might not have come forward.

The accused, the other doc and the middle class married lying lady were all Caucasians.

I'm sure some people reading this will this case.

This is not to exonerate anyone but to ensure people are careful.

I thought omo owa omo ekun was origin for the Ijeshas
I don't know what the bolded aims to clarify in relation to morning greeting.
Owa Obokun was the maternal grandfather who blessed him with a crown as a child. He actually became Deji later in life and that oriki was used for him. Although the Deji crown is not derived from Ijesha.

There are no family-linked morning greetings in Yorubaland. At least none that I have found out.

Oriki in Edo/Benin is used daily (heard it used daily until I left home) because you greet your elders daily.

The closest I know is in Owo. La ba o or la iye (laba o or laye o) to greet a male or female older than you.

Yet, it's general and not family linked. But still reflects proximity to Edo in having a distinct morning greeting.

However, as in Edo, out of respect, you could greet your elders laba or laye the first time you see them, which could be in the afternoon.

I have never been the enthusiastic type when it comes to Japa, but the realities on ground in the country leaves one with little or no choice to look elsewhere for greener pastures. I have about 7m worth of landed properties, and I want to do away with it and relocate before this country leaves me with nothing at all. I graduated with a 2:1 from a federal university.

Which country affords a better opportunity for someone looking for an MSc, putting all circumstances into perspective?
Dude, nobody wants or wanted to leave until reality about 9ja future set in.
Look for decent countries where you can get a full scholarship. Some scholarships na scam. It may just be 15% rebate.

With tuition fees and may be some maintenance costs out of the way, you can focus on your studies and side income.

Otherwise select a destination, look for a skill shortage area in that country and acquire it with some experience.

In the meantime, you may consider converting your 7m into dollars to hold value. You never know.

Look widely, including Scandinavia, and Brazil, if you like languages. Consider your medium and long term goals too.

No course is entirely useless. People do Health Sociology and become part of healthcare campaigns and outreach.

During Covid-19, many young black professors/experts interviewed on CNN and NBC about the disproportionate impact of it on black and ethnic minority groups in USA were sociologists and psychologists.

Traditional stool be sustained by traditional legitimacy. It is an abominable desecration of tradition for a Governor to use veto power and political influence to install his stooge as a King. it will always backfire and it will take years to recover from it. Kano is yet to recover from Ganduje's interference in the emir stool. They will eventually give power to an already bastardized judiciary to determine who becomes the king like they determine who becomes the president of Nigeria or the governor.

Bashorun is the Prime Minister and Head of the 7 Kingmakers in the Oyo system.

With Lagunna, Akinniku and two prominent kingmaker/stand-ins also against it, Makinde can't overlook them.

They should not bring traditional stools to ridicule.

Politicians should be more impartial.

Is this 'detty December' a new thing? Is it that Nigerians in diaspora were not coming in previous years to Nigeria to celebrate Christmas or what?

In the past, returnees and 'locals' celebrated in equal measures. Now, only the returnees are celebrating, but the apc somehow wants to twist it all to look as if the 2024 festivities had more oomph than previous years when almost every Nigerian could afford to celebrate?

Funny people...
My brother, for years we used to land 9ja every early December. Until 2nd week of January. Fashola was not even publicly known yet.

Naira had value and we had a blast with our families/parents and all.

If anything, most I know hardly go home more than every few years now.

With 9ja population in diaspora having increased at least 10 times since (including Tokunbos), I wonder what Detty December rave is all about.

Should tourism not be something to promote all-year-round?

Morocco and other countries serious about tourism allow Europeans fly in without a visa. But Moroccans need visas to go to most of Europe. Bring loads of dollars, Euros and Pounds and forget visa is the idea. Money to spend in the economy.

How on earth does this mean you marrying the girl's mother?
I wonder. Poor sentence structure.

The girl and her family should find a way to sort out their mother's dowry.
Your late father-in-law's family are the ones shirking their responsibility.

Before they can sit down and collect their niece's dowry, let them pay dowry for the girl's mother.

Why did they not help their brother pay the dowry when alive? shocked shocked

Kennitrust, it's the girl's paternal family trying to put all the burden on you. You can your babe to contribute, but it can't be your job to "marry her mother for her late dad."

It's easy to see that women can never accept DNA fraud if the case was reversed, a lot of women seem to be unable to take good care children that are not biologically theirs!
A child that is not a woman's is a competitor against her own kids. The instinct is to suppress others and raise hers. A stepchild is a mortal enemy relative to her own kids. It takes a lot to supress that instinct.

If paternity fraud were reversed, men would be getting a life-sentence in jail in the Western World for doing it.

I doubt this postulations because this will defeat one of the reasons Tinubu adduced for removal of subsidy. In our fuel price is way below international price then smuggling across our bothers by our neighbours continues. We are probably not supplying Nigeria alone but other West African counties.
True. Immediately fuel prices really go down, smuggling to neighbouring countries will resume. Trust 9ja. As soon as there is profit to be made, they will smuggle. Soon, with poor maintenance culture, the creaking refineries will crumble and oil will be scarce again.

Some in the system will find ways to resume fuel importation again and eat subsidy money.

Yes, some will tag this as pessimistic. But 9ja history has shown that we have too many saboteurs.
