Bunkery is already N500 for Creek refineries. The benefit of subsidized crude oil directly from a pipeline.
Hahaha, LoL at CREEK REFINERIES una go kill person with laugh for nairaland, l will ask DSS to arrest you tomorrow morning and detain you for 500 years , so that you can show us all the creek refineries, hahaha 🤣

It should. It truly the Warri refinery is truly working.
We'll be depending less on imported refined petrol. Exchange rate might drop to ₦1,300 and petrol to ₦780
I doubt this postulations because this will defeat one of the reasons Tinubu adduced for removal of subsidy. In our fuel price is way below international price then smuggling across our bothers by our neighbours continues. We are probably not supplying Nigeria alone but other West African counties.

Stop day-dreaming, not possible, otherwise I will start exporting Dangote gasoline to US/Canada for $1 (N1650) per litre

This is another terrible being among Nigerians.

So if petrol is sell for #500/per litre, you will start exporting it to the US/CANADA to create artificial scarcity that could eventually lead to price increment for your people at home?

Many of us are terrible than the leaders we thought were bad.

It may not come down to 500 naira now but before tinubu first term finish naira will gain more value this year and our forex reserve will be possibly 55 billion dollars and naira will gain value to maybe 1100 or 1200 by the end of this year not may at all that is my experiences in econonomy
olatade(m): 1:15pm On Jan 04
Honestly, I don't need to be an expert to know that more refineries will lead to lower prices. It's just common sense, isn't it?

The problem with this country is sabotage. Same situation applies to PHCN, down to security and other sectors.

So it had to take Dangote starting his refinery for them to come back to their senses?

Ok sir even if it's 2014 ..

By nature what u buy in a particular amount for about 10years must appreciate .

It's a common logical reasoning 😁

So it's not about party or government in power.

i doubt. It's simple economics or junior school business studies. There's an elastic limit to what demand and supply can do, like Mr. President said. Except price of crude reduce drastically globally or dollar to naira rates "improve" significantly (which the major players don't want), forget significant reduction in PMS prices. Refineries compete but not for loss. Of course, subsidy is gone so not considering that option, except some future leader gets the idea from a man.

Local refining has always been a solution

All those who ever paid subsidy or protested against its removal should be shot

Very true. Including those who demonstrated in 2012 against GEJ's subsidy removal.

We able Nairalanders can help you post their pictures carrying banners and holding hands against GEJ here on Nairaland.

You may have to start from Daura and Aso Rock. shocked shocked

Wise people cautioned against throwing stones into the market.

This is just the propaganda Tinubu and his urchins want to use to deceive Nigerians ahead of 2027 election.
Tayorshd87(m): 1:32pm On Jan 04
blabulu2000:

Yaradua regime, the price of fuel was 65 naira per litre ...GeJ regime met it at 65 per litre but was later raised to 87 naira per litre couple with heavy subsidy and additional borrowing... and during the Bihari regime, it was raised to 340 naira per litre due to heavy subsidy and additional borrowing.

Bihari and GeJ add to the country's debt, whereas Baba Tinubu pays it off and reduces our debt servicing burden by 50% in the first quarter of this year.

Now, comparing the price of fuel per litre when it was heavily subsidized to the same fuel when it is no longer subsidized is absurd....perhaps you do not understand the meaning of subsidy... Google will help you.

My brother u are d most learned here and u really understand.
May God bless you.

Many Nigerians are just educated by certificate but they can't make finding and make good research to understand situations all in the name of hatred they have for the party or person in power....

Not possible, in a way.

Though I say the above with caveat. If Dangote continues pumping more for the market, meaning import costs go down, and he continues to make enough of a profit selling oversease, maybe.

But I doubt it would reach N500. Refineries are built with loans, not with free money, and the loans got to be paid back. Workers also have to be paid competitive wages, because Dangote is competing globally not with Nigeria. And yes, oil workers in NIgeria japa. (And have been doing so for decades. It's a high skill work, and they are in high demand).

ehen na....nigerians have to start thinkin for themselves than depend in promises and prognosis like you....

you considered alot for factors in your calculations....normaly nigerians dont do this and go along with what others tell them....

gullible....

True. Immediately fuel prices really go down, smuggling to neighbouring countries will resume. Trust 9ja. As soon as there is profit to be made, they will smuggle. Soon, with poor maintenance culture, the creaking refineries will crumble and oil will be scarce again.

Some in the system will find ways to resume fuel importation again and eat subsidy money.

Yes, some will tag this as pessimistic. But 9ja history has shown that we have too many saboteurs.

Irrespective of govt in power.
