What I am hearing is a high ranking policeman went on TV without actually gathering necessary facts to any pertinent questions. All I smell is incompetence!

Stop being selfish, if you sell your crude in your own currency to your local refinary which then brings down the price, how do you expect importers to fair? Abi don't you know they earn their living through importation ? All the money they invested on tank farms, some own vessels, thousand of workers nko, you want them to loose their jobs? undecided

An inflated tyre can be pulled off easily without much care of vehicle height from the ground.
For thieves to take great care in making sure the 4 sides of the car is balanced is unusual.
Go check videos of tyre theft on YouTube.
nope, not as easily as raising and removing the tire

Thieves will remove tyres and still take thier time to make sure car is well suspended?

Story doesn't add up.
how easy is it going to be for the thieves to remove the tyre if the car were not suspended?

I don't believe your story!!
Feb 9 2025 ,
Open threads to spark discussions.
Then go ahead to scam

If truly you ordered on AliExpress
Go and read rules and regulations

Wait till purchase protection is over before you file a dispute or 10 days after the seller ship.

Very simple and straightforward.

Simple black and white instructions, you people won't read it.

What is the point of this comment? Someone is venting out about being scammed, you with nothing to add or provide is just there calling him a liar

Wetin concern zelensky with Trump impeachment
Are we going to sit down here and pretend that Trump didn't try to strong arm Zelensky into investigating his rival in an election in return for aid, wasn't that why he was impeached? And the fact that Zelensky was on the side of the Democrats that first time around (because he wanted the aid) is part of the reasons he and his suffering is suffering Trump's betrayal now or maybe he is just a POS like that sha

What is happening? It's funny people don't know that Trump is doing this as revenge for his first term impeachment that Zelensky help in.

Why is this news for crying out loud? If you are exchanging words with someone, is it really out of place to say heated words that include "Call your president".

Or am I missing out on something?
her job does not include exchanging heated words with customers

In Nigeria, don't be too loose, don't be too comfortable and laslas always see everybody as a criminal...with this mindset it would be hard for you to get conned.
i known jare, the most painful aspect is me learning all this again.

So many things are unclear in this story.

Why was the driver demanding for more money after you've paid the agreed fare. Why did you insist on alighting and collecting a refund when you could have just stood your ground since you've already paid? The driver threw money on the floor and asked you to pick it and you agreed to? Is he insane? Someone you should have changed it for, you obediently got down to pick ₦100 thrown on the floor for you. What manner of disrespect is that? You should never allow anyone belittle you in such manner.
*money was not thrown on the floor. In the process of giving me the money in a moving keke it looked like wind blew 100 (or maybe he intentionally released it) out of his hand.
*the ruse of demanding for more money was to get my blood boiling and distract me from the fellow enger that was picking my pocket.
*I alighted to pick the money because it looked to me like an honest mistake (from the driver), if i had known i was getting robbed i would have been more angry.

There's nothing like "how they operate" nah you loose guard. Me ke?

Inside church self, I dey guard myself consciously. I emphasize, CONSCIOUSLY. Unless my phone fell down from my pocket or you overpower me or sedate me, no phycological tactics will work.
thing is i am like this too, problem is your guard cannot be staunchly up all the time, one day you will be tired or be thinking of something else.

Welcome to lag 😁😁

The reason why they did that to you was bcus they knew you were not concentrating... Maybe you had your earpieces or ear pod on and you were probably glued to your phone
i just was not at alert like i usually am, i was not using any earpiece or ear pod. i had a lot on my mind and this commute is something that is routine for me

This happened everywhere not only in Lagos. It happened to me at the beginning of this month in Ota, OGUN state. I took a NAPEP from Oju Ore going towards the Bells. On getting to Obasanjo the driver told me to come down that he doesn’t have change. I told him he shouldn’t worry that I’ll look for change for him when I get to my bus/stop. Meanwhile; I was having two phones. My iPhone 7 Plus and small Nokia phone. So my small phone rang & I was on call before I know what’s up. My iPhone has been moved & I was told to come down that I shouldn’t bother to pay. I was like. I couldn’t concentrate cos I was still on call before after some minutes I discovered my iPhone is gone. After one week I tracked it & I found the at Mushin. So sad.
it happened on this route. do you anything about the driver?

If the phone was in the pivot on the other side, would it have been stolen? Just trying to understand how this happened.

To those asking him why he wasn't holding unto his phone, is he supposed to at all times?
the phone was on my right side. the routine is what made me relax and i was thinking about meeting some deadlines

Always hold your phone while entering Keke or Bus it is called handset for a reason.
i am usually always at alert, what happened to me was as a result of complacency, the keke ride is a routine that happens almost every day in the morning and evening.

When I got into the back of the keke, there was one other enger, driver said he needed change so i paid him the normal fare, he said that he wanted more, so i asked him to return my money and drop me, he kept trying to make me add money on top the normal fare which i disagreed.

In the process of trying to return my money he dropped 100 naira out of the keke which was still moving at this point. He gave me the rest of my money and asked me to go and pick the one that fell outside,. So I got out and started looking for this money on the side of the road (he had already zoomed off).

It was after like five minutes of searching and not finding the money that i noticed that my phone was no longer in my pocket.
