I one day, I was sitting at the back sit of Marua the man sitting beside me put big bag on his lap, I noticed that something was torching my lap and it can't be the big bag the man put on his lap I quickly carried the hand bag I put on my lap only to discover that the man put his hand behind the bag he put on his lap and trying to steal from the hand bag I put on my lap and the man is up to 60 years of age.

This morning, as I was on the bed thinking about my life no money to go to work, I struggle to come back home yesterday, I just saw somebody raising his head from the fence behind our building, he wanted to jump from the compound to our side immediately I shouted theif, he ran away this country has turned to something else.

All these petty thieves. People will go out struggle just to make ends meet. Somebody is looking for an opportunity just to steal from the hard working person.

No fear for their lives or other people's lives.

Becareful if ur compound is not all that secured

It can happen anywhere

He's looking for an opportunity to hype Lagos.

I'm so sorry about your experience. Vigilance is key when taking public transportation in Lagos. Be very vigilant and alert as soon as you get to the bus stop. Avoid ing discussions and arguments, no matter how tempting the urge may be.

Lol.. I repeat if you're inside the Keke and someone tells you to help him to do something, make sure you hold your phone or bag well before attempting to do anything, different stories everyday, this one is another style same Keke.

There's nothing like "how they operate" nah you loose guard. Me ke?

Inside church self, I dey guard myself consciously. I emphasize, CONSCIOUSLY. Unless my phone fell down from my pocket or you overpower me or sedate me, no phycological tactics will work.
thing is i am like this too, problem is your guard cannot be staunchly up all the time, one day you will be tired or be thinking of something else.

Na only you Waka come?
Na only you all these they happen to ?

Solution;
Go and look for a " chosen" jacket to wear all the time and a chosen sticker by your door step.

Thank pastor righteousness later.

It is also possible he wants to use it to ridicule Lagos as if every other place in Nigeria is Mecca.

When I got into the back of the keke, there was one other enger, driver said he needed change so i paid him the normal fare, he said that he wanted more, so i asked him to return my money and drop me, he kept trying to make me add money on top the normal fare which i disagreed.

In the process of trying to return my money he dropped 100 naira out of the keke which was still moving at this point. He gave me the rest of my money and asked me to go and pick the one that fell outside,. So I got out and started looking for this money on the side of the road (he had already zoomed off).

It was after like five minutes of searching and not finding the money that i noticed that my phone was no longer in my pocket.

They do it inside buses too. They will try to distract you either to help them close a door or send some of them to lean over you to close a door on the run and then tell you they can take or accept what you have paid them and asked you to come down. They may say they are going in another directions.

Go and lock your phone online and wipe off the data, that’s if it’s ed online when you bought it, on the site of the phone manufacturer. If you are able to lock it, the thièf has to wait for 1 year before he can unlock it.

I know bro, and I am sure by now u won't dare make that kind of mistake again,

In Nigeria, don't be too loose, don't be too comfortable and laslas always see everybody as a criminal...with this mindset it would be hard for you to get conned.

So many things are unclear in this story.

Why was the driver demanding for more money after you've paid the agreed fare? Why did you insist on alighting and collecting a refund when you could have just stood your ground since you've already paid? The driver threw money on the floor and asked you to pick it and you agreed to? Is he insane? Someone you should have changed it for, you obediently got down to pick ₦100 thrown on the floor for you. What manner of disrespect is that? You should never allow anyone belittle you in such manner. In all, you have to be at alert the moment you step outdoors.

Simple rule as a guy;

Your phone in your hand.

Your transport fare in your breast pocket.

Do go into a public transport shifting left and right to take money from your trousser pocket

*money was not thrown on the floor. In the process of giving me the money in a moving keke it looked like wind blew 100 (or maybe he intentionally released it) out of his hand.
*the ruse of demanding for more money was to get my blood boiling and distract me from the fellow enger that was picking my pocket.
*I alighted to pick the money because it looked to me like an honest mistake (from the driver), if i had known i was getting robbed i would have been more angry.

Dem run you street...too bad...sorry bro

That's why i love my jean tros, with all my stuff in my front pocket, sitting tightly between my laps and jeans, and when I feel the weight pressing against my body after every step, let me see how you will remove something out of it without me knowing.

With normal pant tros with side pockets, even if you are not pickpocket(ed), easily, stuffs can slip out anytime, especially when you are about to sit or standing up from a sitting position.

I only pity white-job workers, and those without choice but to wear these pants in congested cities.

Lol, u might know and still be unable to identify who took it, if u think I'm lieing trying it at night around 9 pm in busy area. It happened to me last year Shiloh after we are done and I'm heading home, that jeans is super tight if there is something like that. I discovered my phone was moved immediately but first no light to see people face, we were too crowdy, second no body want to give me their phone to flash it because it's night, they took can't even see my face. I just shouted they have stolen my phone and later I went home jejely. Naso I take lost the phone. All this sango boiz can move anything
