Don't ever put your phone in your pocket let it be in your hand or get a cross bag

When I got into the back of the keke, there was one other enger, driver said he needed change so i paid him the normal fare, he said that he wanted more, so i asked him to return my money and drop me, he kept trying to make me add money on top the normal fare which i disagreed.

In the process of trying to return my money he dropped 100 naira out of the keke which was still moving at this point. He gave me the rest of my money and asked me to go and pick the one that fell outside,. So I got out and started looking for this money on the side of the road (he had already zoomed off).

It was after like five minutes of searching and not finding the money that i noticed that my phone was no longer in my pocket.

If the phone was in the pivot on the other side, would it have been stolen? Just trying to understand how this happened.

To those asking him why he wasn't holding unto his phone, is he supposed to at all times?

Yes. My phone is always in my hands whenever I'm in a public place.

GboyegaD:

I find that stressful though.

Holding my handset is second nature to me in public.

Welcome to lag 😁😁

The reason why they did that to you was bcus they knew you were not concentrating... Maybe you had your earpieces or ear pod on and you were probably glued to your phone
assuming he was glued to his phone, this wouldn't have happened...

Some people have a bag-set.
Other people have a pocket-set.

All I have is a hand-set.

Na this part me wan understand. Is that as he was trying to give you the money, it fell outside or he deliberately threw out the money and asked you to go and pick it up? Cus honestly this story gets as e be 🤨🤔

I don’t know what people gain in causing pain to others. Now, they will go and sell the phone cheap price.

The last time someone left his phone(Iphone12promax) in my Keke, the guy called and started pleading with me to return his phone. I told him not to worry I would return his fone to him. To cut long story short, we arranged a plc and I returned his phone.

I didn’t even wait for him to thank me I moved immediately. He actually came to our park the following day. On seeing me, he asked “what kind of human being are u”? We just chatted small I load my engers. When I was about to move, he squeezed some cash in my hand on getting home, I counted it. Omo... Na 20k. shocked
Good things will come your way bro!!! God bless your Good heart!

Make no mistake: despite the material desperation in our modern society - we still have good people!

Always hold your phone while entering Keke or Bus it is called handset for a reason.
i am usually always at alert, what happened to me was as a result of complacency, the keke ride is a routine that happens almost every day in the morning and evening.

This happened everywhere not only in Lagos. It happened to me at the beginning of this month in Ota, OGUN state. I took a NAPEP from Oju Ore going towards the Bells. On getting to Obasanjo the driver told me to come down that he doesn’t have change. I told him he shouldn’t worry that I’ll look for change for him when I get to my bus/stop. Meanwhile; I was having two phones. My iPhone 7 Plus and small Nokia phone. So my small phone rang & I was on call before I know what’s up. My iPhone has been moved & I was told to come down that I shouldn’t bother to pay. I was like. I couldn’t concentrate cos I was still on call before after some minutes I discovered my iPhone is gone. After one week I tracked it & I found the at Mushin. So sad.

There's nothing like "how they operate" nah you loose guard. Me ke?

Inside church self, I dey guard myself consciously. I emphasize, CONSCIOUSLY. Unless my phone fell down from my pocket or you overpower me or sedate me, no phycological tactics will work.

Get yourself a phone pouch with a ring on it..so you can always have your phone glued to your hand and keep guard.
