Thrombos:It looks complicated to me when dependents' port are sent to Visa office, Accra (when sent from VFS lagos or Abuja) while main apllicant's port is sent to the Visa Office in London. Although expensive, it's better to send to the same VFS office (in london) as one family. In this journey, it's best to avoid complicating things if it's within your power. My humble opinion is to get all ports in one place, then submit it together to whichever VFS office. London is faster (within a week) while VFS Lagos/Abuja will send to Accra. (4 to 6 weeks) |

ntyce:Other sources of weather info? Jon snow, you know nothing! Any local weather information pertaining to Nigeria that you see on any app or website, irrespective of your location in the world, is generated by Nimet! Many of you have zero idea how weather information is routed all around the world! Countries, who are of WMO, make available their weather data through platforms like GTS. The fact that one tech boy is able to access weather API freely and create a weather app for you to use, doesn’t mean there aren’t people on the ground working tirelessly every day to collect and process the data that is contained in that API. 6 Likes |

Afternoon guys, I got my PPR finally ![]() ![]() I need some guidance on submitting our ports at the VFS office especially from those who submitted as a group. We are a family of 5 while I am the PA. 1. Regarding the consent form for my kids, I have only put their names in the name(printed) section of the second page but telephone number, email and signature are mine. This is the right way to do it? Secondly, the third page of the form is the consent form indirect submission. Will I also put in my details on this page for them, since I will be submitting and collecting it? Thirdly, the last page has to do with biometrics, do we need to fill this for the kids and us, giving that we have already done that when giving our biometrics back in January. 2. For my wife, same question as above for the third page and last page, since she will be filling the second page by herself. Thanks for your help in advance 11 Likes |

olufemiojo04:No, it won't. Your work experience has to be FULL TIME. 30 hours per week for one year or 15hrs per week for two years. The information you need is on IRCC website. 2 Likes |

Stonehenge83:First take a deep breath. 1. Was any specific reason given for the "review required" on your self-employment? 2. Also, go through the documents required by IRCC for self-employed reference and compare against the ones you submitted. If you feel they are not convincing enough you might need to submit more documentation. 3. When did you apply and how many weeks did it take you to get your gcms. 1 Like |

3000 jobs? The artisans, engineers, architects, etc. working at the terminals are not more than 100, even if you add those indirectly benefitting like the food sellers, water hawkers, cement and block sellers etc. it is still not up to 100 people. Why do these govt people like lies?

madridguy:Majority? I doubt it. Only those who are financially buoyant can effortlessly switch to solar. Not many Nigerians can afford to shell out 1.5 million naira for a basic solar installation. It's a pipe dream to think majority of Nigerians will soon shift to solar. In this same country where the Finance Minister mentioned last year that only about 5% of Nigerians have over 500 k in their bank , is where you believe people will rush to solar? Where will the remaining 95% forming the "majority" see the installation money? 1 Like |

stagger:What you are describing is a single phase looped in three phases. It's a common practice in Nigeria and I'm quite aware of it. It's still a single phase. In a three phase, all three cut-outs are positioned, no transferring anywhere and the loads of the house are distributed/balanced across the three differents phases to avoid overloading. This is a common practice in large houses, offices or buildings where heavy appliances are used simultaneously like A.C Units, photocopiers, Water Heater, industrial washing machine etc. or each phase dedicated to the floors of a building not regular houses where the highest consumer of power is a mere ceiling fan. |

First off, why do you need a 3-phase meter? If you are not living in a mansion with many load or run heavy machinery in your house you do not need a three phase meter. If it's the regular bungalow or apartment with regular appliances found in most homes in Nigeria, a single phase prepaid meter will do the job. From your explanation, it seems the PHCN staff did you dirty. A by literally involves avoiding the meter and connecting wires directly which should be obvious to you except, of course, you are not telling us the full story. 5 Likes |

Just more road expansions and flyovers (that we don't need)in the inner city of Abuja. Nothing else! No hospitals, no schools, no public water system, no jobs, no intercity buses, no trams, no street lights etc. Which infrastructure are they talking about?
