I have 8+ months of teaching experience, as a part-time teacher (2 times a week). Can this experience suffice for the new education category? I studied engineering in school. I work in IT Also, do I need to make the teaching experience my primary NOC? Cos, my primary NOC is in IT at the moment |
AmiableMosquito: 12:08pm On Mar 26 |
olufemiojo04:I think one of the requirements for the edu category is a degree or certificate in education precisely. So in addition to whatever experience, you need an edu cert. Again, I believe only full time paid employment are considered. I am not sure it's wise to mention part-time in your application. I may be wrong please, do some more research on your own 1 Like |

olufemiojo04: Page 1 has a link to the category based draws and the requirements. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/rounds-invitations/category-based-selection.html Who’s eligible for the education occupations category. To be eligible, you must: *have accumulated, within the past 3 years, at least 6 months of full-time, continuous work experience (or an equal amount of part-time experience): -in a single occupation listed in the table below -in Canada or abroad But first you need to qualify for FSW, CEC or FST with 1 yr continuous WE in an NOC to be eligible for an invitation through a category-based round, you must meet the minimum criteria for Express Entry, including being eligible for 1 of the 3 immigration programs it covers. |
kevoh(m): 2:09pm On Mar 26 |
olufemiojo04:No, it won't. Your work experience has to be FULL TIME. 30 hours per week for one year or 15hrs per week for two years. The information you need is on IRCC website. 2 Likes |

Can a cummulation NYSC service year suffice too? I've read on this thread where people used service year for work experience |

Hello house, please I need advice; I just got my cbsa note and it states RR (Review Required). The reasons for the RR were listed, I would like to know if it is wise to raise a webform to address the concerns on the CBSA notes or should wait for them to send ADR. The application entered RR since December. My AOR is Oct. Thank you for any and all advices 1. It states that it needed to my sibling relationship (I have a brother in canada, my sister who is also in canada used the same brother for her application in 2022 and we submitted the same documents she did) 2. It said it could not my employer ( my employer did not get any email from them nor calls according to him) 3. It said I did not add my statement of for my POF (I only used fixed deposit ceritificate) Those are the 3 things that were sated |

Opemipooye:Good Morning, how long did it take before you got your CBSA notes from when you applied? |
GraciousWords: 3:05pm On Mar 27 |
Opemipooye: If it were me I'd send a webform to address the RR points. Sibling - check FAQ 37 that you updated what's on the application checklist. And resend if possible. Maybe there was an ommission when ing. Employer - short LOE to give details of how employer can be reached. Better if it's information from a public source like email and phone number on their website. POF - resend deposit certificate, statement showing money taken out from going into deposit and short LOE to explain money can be got back from the FD at any time. Sometimes RRs are resolved without ADR or further communication to the applicant so it's really up to you. Goodluck! 6 Likes |

If I'm to predict, I'd say you'll get your FD and RFV in April . I had my MEP on November 20th Pre-arrival on January 3rd Then silence until 3rd of March when FD came and subsequently the next day, the PPR arrived. It was about 6 months after my AOR which was Sep 11. So yours is on its way, very close actually. Probably just a slow VO, calm those nerves mademoiselle ![]() Linasbeauty: 3 Likes |

I want to assess wifey's credentials, she is a Lawyer (She has a 2 year Diploma in LAW, LLB + LAW School certificate) Would WES evaluate her Certificates (Diploma + LLB Degree) as Two or more certificates, because WES is faster. or I should just assess her LLB with IQAS/CES ? |

dewale2k: Page 1 FAQ 14 In general, 1 year continuous is mandatory for general FSW primary NOC. CBD people, could you kindly clarify for us? For a CBD, does your NOC related to the CBD need to be your primary? Or do they pick from any of your other NOCs? Asking because the 6 months minimum in 3 years seems confusing for some. Thanks. |

Linasbeauty:Calling IRCC with Airtime This is their number +1 (613) 944-6788 When you call, these are the steps; - 1 for English - 2 for PR application - 2 for don’t have UCI - 3 for the next prompt - 2 for next prompt - 0 to talk to call agent (they’ll put you in a queue, you have to stay on the line till you’re connected to a call agent) Call IRCC customer care with Data; use an app called Viber on playstore and dial +1 (613) 944-6788 IRCC calling hours is between 8am to 4pm which is Nigeria 12noon to 8pm or 1pm to 9pm depends on the time of the year. It's advisable to call them at exactly 8am Canada time which could be either 12noon or 1pm Nigeria time depends on time of the Year. 10pm Nigerian time too works as they operate in such a way that before their client can receive calls, it must be exactly 8am Canada time. So you'll call them like 5 mins to that 8am When you call, you'll first press 1 to select English You'll press 2 to be connected to IRCC and this period, they'll tell you that client department is closed but never mind.... Continue After that you'll be asked to press 1 to provide your UCI but press 2 that you don't have It doesn't affect anything because once they pick you'll still provide your UCI again and you need not to waste time providing it again thereby taking more time you are spending on the call So this period, you'll be asked to choose number again, you can waste time by listening to the options so that the time would be like 1 min to their 8am (Nigeria 12noon or 1pm depends). The next number you'll choose is 3 After that, the next number you'll press is 2 Then the last number to direct you to the agent is 0, the moment Canada time changes to 8am (Nigeria 12noon or 1pm) exactly, press 0 Infact, the call won't spend 5 seconds before an agent will pick If you missed this time, you can try it later but what they'll tell you is that there are plenty people on queue. You have to call back later and if you are lucky to be connected, get ready to wait for as long as 20m to 1hr if at all an agent picks it." Copied 7 Likes 5 Shares |

GraciousWords: Primary or not doesn't matter, one would still be invited as long as it is 6 months minimum in the last 3 years. It doesn't have to be the primary one. |
