I moved into a new apartment early last year, and I've enjoyed the change of scenery.
There's this single lady in the compound, likely to be in her late 20s, she is beautiful and attractive. I'm very much interested in her, but I'm concerned about being rejected and the awkwardness of seeing her regularly if she turns me down. I also worry about how it might affect our interactions with other neighbors if she were to share that I approached her with other neighbors.
Should I take the risk and ask her out, or should I respect the boundaries of our neighborly relationship? If you think I should pursue her, what's the best way to approach her, considering I have her from our WhatsApp group?
There's nothing wrong in shooting your shot. Set the ball rolling by seeking friendship and afterwards, let her know your intention.

How can one cure dandruff?
Anytime i go to the salon to cut my hair, white stuffs is seen flying everywhere, like powder being blown by breeze!
Inside the following week after the barbing, after a while when through with my bath, my head will be shinning all white with dry white flakes falling from my head. Maybe when my hair is now fully grown back, nobody notices the white stuff again. After sometime when i visit the salon again for an hair-cut, the problem continues again!
NOTE: i have tried many solutions but no one has been effective! How do i get it off my hair/head?

What do you mean by "First do not parboil your rice. Just wash and drain?"
Also, what is the meaning of the bolded?
Bottom-to-top is just a theoretical explanation on how to stir your rice while steam cooking so it can cook evenly. When your rice is steam-cooking, you need to move it around. Thus, lift the rice at the bottom up to the top with your spoon so those originally at the top can move to the bottom.

The principle of not parboiling the rice intended for jollof rice is borne outbofnthe fact that the rice, when mixed with the stew base, first need to cook in its juices and subsequently steam cook. Parboiling the rice may take away the steam-cooking phase which is what gives that signature party jollof taste.

The price of yam will just weak you.
Normal size 9k-10k i just weak.
Yams are cheaper in the North. It would have been a great idea to have someone purchase them for you from here and waybill it to your end, but the cost of waybill is a setback. Over here, 5 tubers retail for 7 to 9k.

most diseases of animal is not zoonotic (can be ed from one specie to another). Pig doesn't have newcastle and other diseases of fowl. A good example is asf that ravages pigs and is incurable for pigs. Human being can eat infected animals and won't I but if another pig eat infected animal ,it is gone.
Thanks for the clarity, but I beg to disagree.

My friend told me that he attended a workshop back then and one of the things that was thought was using chicken poo which was named "black gold" to make fish feed.
I want to know, has anyone here successfully used such, I am just curious to know if such thing works or is there anyone here who provides such training.
This doesn't sound right. Chicken excreta cannot be food, best case is manure. Doing this would mean transferring diseases to the fish and subsequently, humans.

Pele...you don wake up
I've realized for a while now that love or lust or wateva pple feel or call it is not needed in marriage........the side that has less of this so called love or lust has the highest leverage..
Just marry with your two eyes open so that you can see bu!!sh!t from miles away, carry a rational mind to be fair when needed, and tuck ur heart away in hidden vault to prevent anybody from robbïng you of your peace so u can be ruthless when needed
Good as always... Talking about your submission. Love is overrated. Marriage is partnership. Find someone whose qualities syncs with yours. One whose strength can rub off on you positively and vice versa.

see marriage and wedding na two different things.
most of u prepare for weddings not marriage, marriage takes alot to work.
u need to be ready mentally and emotionally but these days na weak ass Men dey everywhere and whining Women.
There simply has been a paradigm shift. In those days, intending couples leave no stone unturned in knowing and mastering themselves. Couples these days hardly focus on that. Having a successful marriage goes beyond the chemistry you feel for the other person. Intending couples must invest much more in "knowing themselves".
Another descripancy is the fact that red flags are downplayed. Unlike the Israelites who were promised that they shall not see the Egyptians in the promise land, marriage works differently because the Egyptians (red flags) will surely be there. Thus, if you cannot stand a certain trait and the other person is not willing to compromise mid-way or fully, it's best to detach.
Finally, it's no surprise that the devil is attacking marriages. This is based on the belief that separation breeds dysfunctional children (in most cases) and these are easy targets for his antics.

I have a rule that whoever you are, even if i offended you previously and i later call you(perhaps to apologize) then you pick and start waiting for me to say hello first, I swear with my life, i'll never call you again because i see that as the height of disrespect.
Your concern is valid, but what if the person is being quiet because he or she understands this rule? You would end up losing friendships over something as trivial as this.

Fellow Nairalanders, good day to you all.
Please, is it right for someone to pick a call from a known (saved) and wait for the caller to be the first to speak? As in, the receiver will pick the call but will not speak until he or she hears "Hello" or anything from the caller.
Someone will pick your call, wait for some seconds and starts speaking by scolding you because you were not the first to say, "Hello". And there was no form of dispute before the call. I sincerely need communication experts to educate me on this issue.
I posted this topic on my WhatsApp status and have gotten some responses which I have quoted in the comment section.
"Hello" is actually a code in telephone communication. It isn't just about breaking the ice, but making your caller know that you are ready to talk. In actual sense, the receiver is expected to break the ice. This serves as a confirmation of call receipt and readiness to talk.
For instance, if you are in a noisy environment and an important call comes in, you may not want to leave the noisy environment completely before picking because the call might go off. Thus, you may pick and continue walking and once the environment is sane enough, you say "hello".

No offense, sir, but studying Software Development in a Nigerian university is a big joke, a huge one, in fact. Your lad is truly gifted. I do not intend to discourage you sire, but if he were my child, I'd advise him and help him see reasons to pursue something Nigerian universities can actually handle. This is not to suggest that Software Development is a poor choice, far from it. I am where I am today because of it. However, I must emphasize that, based on my experience, most Nigerian universities lack the resources and expertise required to teach the discipline properly.
lovelybobo please take this advise. The good thing is that your son is good in writing codes and so he can self-develope in that aspect while studying in a related field that our average Nigerian universities can handle... Maybe Computer Science.

I just checked my son's jamb results now and the response I got was "Result: Underaged and Under-performed"
How? No breakdown of the results to even know how he performed. Jamb's rule is that you must be 16 years on or before 30th September 2025, my son will be 16 years by October 9th 2025, just 9 days away and jamb wants my son to wait for another 365 days because of 9 days.
My plan was to ask for special consideration and exceptional permission. How do I do that when I don't even know how he performed in the exams? Jamb should please give us the full results. We paid for it and we need to see our results.
I feel your plight. This clause ought to have been effected even when ing. By this, I mean a person considered underaged should not even have to stress about paying and ing. Accepting payment and registration should mean viable eligibility.
You can try raising your concerns via X and hopefully some influencers can pick it up.

From my experience, if you stay alone, eating out is cheaper. If you doubt it, calculate the actual cost of preparing a meal, check how many times you will eat that meal and then compare how much it will cost you to buy that number of plates of the same quality of meal outside.
Further more, consider the time and labor cost.
You go to the market to buy food stuff
Prepare to cook
Do the cooking.
Be cleaning while cooking.
Go out to a nearby shop to buy something you forgot to buy in the market.
Finish cooking.
Wash the dishes after eating.
All these after buying food stuff with your money o
Meanwhile if you go to a restaurant, all you do is eat and leave.
So gents, eating out is way cheaper.
If you will factor in health, safety and environment, then preparing one's meal would definitely be cheaper.

Close.
I've come to realize that it is the high heat and smoke from the firewood that gives it that extra flavour and texture.
You can work your way around it to achieve that even while using gas.
First do not parboil your rice. Just wash and drain.
Your stew base has to be in the right proportion .
You season your oil with bay leaf, thyme, a little curry and rosemary before yo set out to fry the sachet to stop and stew base.
Lastly and most importantly, water and rice should be st the same level (with water slightly higher) once you mix. Seal properly and cook on low heat for 20 minutes after which you open and lift from bottom to top. Even if rice is undercooked, dont add water, let the steam do the cooking. Once your rice is 90 percent cooked, add some butter, blast up the heat and let it burn. This process will give you the part jollof taste.
Note that you need to be generous with oil when making party jollof rice .

I'm just so tired of the exorbitant fee on the band A. I spend 90k/100k per month. I only put on just one AC 1&half horse power for three hours in a day, I have to stop using the other four AC. 4 ceiling fans-2 wall fan for 15 hrs, 1 TV for like 14 hrs, 22 bulbs,1 fridge, occasional use of washing machine, pumping machine and air fryer, is this normal? It's is so draining, just like I'm paying a house rent in my own house. Could this be as a result of bad wiring or na so everyone dey feel am
Are you sure your connection has not been bugged? 90k per month seems like a lot, even if you are using an air-conditioner(I'm assuming it's an inverter AC). Also, what's the wattage of the air fryer? Can you also cut down on the number of hours your fridge stays powered? You could reduce that to 6 hours per day. From my observation, if you power a chest freezer for 24 hours, 10k worth of power unit may not last for morethan 3 days. So I'm guessing your refrigerator might be a culprit.

Student cheats{pay their way through with the help of their parents} to WAEC/NECO, that why the rate on those exams are above 50%! There is honestly nothing in the head of the student of this days and i will be honest with you, Jamb is way easier than WAEC/NECO. I asking a supposed science student{he filled in medicine in his jamb form} what the power house of a cell was and this MF told me Malpighian tubules. My brain stopped functioning at that point.
Can I burst your bubbles? People still cheat their way through JAMB. I won't shed more light on this for security reasons. Regarding the science student you had a discourse with... Maybe my being an early years teacher has made me more patient and perseverant. Thus, until I unturn morethan half the milestone with no success, I may then draw certain hypothesis.

If our educational system was designed to thrive, examination malpractice wouldn't be a thing. People cheat because of various reasons. These reasons stem from poor moral values and not knowing how. A good educational system addresses morals and intellects. Thus, my stance still stands.

The recent tweet by Mr Peter Obi on X, has reignited a long-standing debate about the state of Nigeria’s education system and the role of the t issions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in it. Obi’s post highlights a staggering statistic: of the 1,955,069 candidates who sat for the 2025 JAMB exams, only 420,000 scored above 200, leaving over 1.5 million 78% below this threshold. This alarming failure rate, coupled with Nigeria’s lagging university enrollment paints a grim picture of an education system in crisis. Obi attributes this to decades of underinvestment in education, a sector he argues is the “most critical driver of national development.” But does this mean JAMB, the gatekeeper of college issions in Nigeria, should be scrapped? This piece is set to explore the figures, the systemic issues, and the relevance of JAMB in today’s Nigeria. You can read more: https://crispng.com/should-jamb-be-removed-critical-look-at-nigerias-education-crisis/
It makes no sense that students have to seat for JAMB. I see no reason why students who have sat for WAEC/NECO have to undergo JAMB and even post JAMB. The expenses are also daunting. Parents pay through their nose for WAEC and after that, they hagw to cmntend with JAMB, which is viable for just a year. Some parents may not even be able to afford it and since ducation is the fundamental right of every Nigerian, depriving students this rights due to JAMB is not wholesome

My former teacher failed me woefully in all my exams. I refused to study and so the massive failure was not a surprise. I should pay some students currently studying in the school to frame him up.
