I just checked my son's jamb results now and the response I got was "Result: Underaged and Under-performed" How? No breakdown of the results to even know how he performed. Jamb's rule is that you must be 16 years on or before 30th September 2025, my son will be 16 years by October 9th 2025, just 9 days away and jamb wants my son to wait for another 365 days because of 9 days. My plan was to ask for special consideration and exceptional permission. How do I do that when I don't even know how he performed in the exams? Jamb should please give us the full results. We paid for it and we need to see our results. 20 Likes 1 Share |

I can sincerely relate to your pains. My son scored 344 in JAMB last year and was denied ission because he missed the age cutoff by 14 days. To the glory of God, I encouraged him to sit for JAMB again. He just scored 359. JAMB has been unfair to a lot of intelligent kids in the name of uncoordinated policies. 87 Likes |

Zico5: I studied electrical/electronic engineering myself, and I wanted him to study computer science, but he said no. He will study software engineering because he can code very well with Python. 108 Likes 3 Shares |

lovelybobo: What's an impressive result! Please try and do everything in your care to ensure he apply for international scholarship. He's too brilliant to be in a typical Nigerian university settings that operate archaic curriculum and still write code in notebooks 67 Likes 5 Shares |

lovelybobo:Please, what textbook did he used to prepare for the exam most especially in physics and Chemistry. Was there any unique things he was doing during the period he was preparing for the exam. I will like to know for the sake of my children 10 Likes |

nnamdi640: He used the New School Chemistry textbook and a mix of Senior Secondary Physics by PN Okeke and the New System Physics textbook published by Africana First Publisher. Also, past questions played a major role, like the 4-in-1 practice questions published by The Solid Solutions and software like TestDriller, which made him computer-friendly and gave him a seemingly realistic experience. 72 Likes 13 Shares |

lovelybobo: You the father was the one unfair to him, you knew the rules even before he was born so why go ahead to when you knew the restrictions decades before ing? If its for him to do a real world exam scenario that's fine but if its for you to circumvent the rules somehow then its wrong. Law is law , it is what it is and not what it should be. When the rules changes then we change with it but for now everyone should follow the rules. 68 Likes 6 Shares |

GoodSpirit: I don't agree; he has two elder ones already in school, and none was up to 16 years old before being itted. The problem started when the former minister of education made a public comment about ission age, and people have already ed for JAMB. You don't do such. The rules for the 2025 JAMB were better because they were well spelled out before the exam. Above all, how do you formulate policies? You don't use personal comments to formulate policies. 25 Likes 1 Share |

lovelybobo: No offense, sir, but studying Software Development in a Nigerian university is a big joke, a huge one, in fact. Your lad is truly gifted. I do not intend to discourage you sire, but if he were my child, I'd advise him and help him see reasons to pursue something Nigerian universities can actually handle. This is not to suggest that Software Development is a poor choice, far from it. I am where I am today because of it. However, I must emphasize that, based on my experience, most Nigerian universities lack the resources and expertise required to teach the discipline properly. 19 Likes |

majesticguy: I appreciate your concern. I am also aware of your fears, but since this is my area of specialty, I will guide him properly. God bless you His option one is to get a scholarship, but if that fails, I will guide him using study materials and curriculum from either the US or Canada. This is my work, and I have helped a lot of students. Even Nigerian students studying abroad I have assisted; I think I should do better with my son 43 Likes 4 Shares |

thunder74: I feel your plight. This clause ought to have been effected even when ing. By this, I mean a person considered underaged should not even have to stress about paying and ing. Accepting payment and registration should mean viable eligibility. You can try raising your concerns via X and hopefully some influencers can pick it up. 2 Likes |
