I'm just so tired of the exorbitant fee on the band A. I spend 90k/100k per month. I only put on just one AC 1&half horse power for three hours in a day, I have to stop using the other four AC. 4 ceiling fans-2 wall fan for 15 hrs, 1 TV for like 14 hrs, 22 bulbs,1 fridge, occasional use of washing machine, pumping machine and air fryer.

Is this normal? It's is so draining, just like I'm paying a house rent in my own house. Could this be as a result of bad wiring or na so everyone dey feel am.

Are you sure your connection has not been bugged? 90k per month seems like a lot, even if you are using an air-conditioner(I'm assuming it's an inverter AC). Also, what's the wattage of the air fryer? Can you also cut down on the number of hours your fridge stays powered? You could reduce that to 6 hours per day. From my observation, if you power a chest freezer for 24 hours, 10k worth of power unit may not last for morethan 3 days. So I'm guessing your refrigerator might be a culprit.

It'll take Nigeria at least a minimum of 900 years to catch up with the rest of the world 🌎. That is, if the rest of the world decides to be on hold.

I saw where someone posted he spends 20k monthly with fridge and AC and he's complaining.

Mine I only on fan, laptop and charge phone I don't even on light bulbs. Yet I spend 30k plus.

Any month I mistakenly turn on fridge 50 something thousand will go.

I stay in PH. Woji precisely. I have steady light but omo I pay through my nose.
G0odharddick:

The rest of the world has constant electricity 24/7 and so it is reasonable to pay even if it is expensive. The question is, does your country have 6 hrs electricity supply in a day? Let alone 24hrs?
I see more than 20hrs daily.

Ghen ghen....seems you are new to band A around you there, it been Almost 2 years here, unplugged AC , like 5hrs use of Fridge for a week ,watching machine,TV , few energy saving bulbs ,2 DC/AC fans (low consumption and works on battery) I still spent up to 5k weekly..self meter that make me able to control and minimize.....what about people that share , what about face me I face you I heard those one light bill supercede their monthly rent....., go to all area using band A ask them to choose from 12hrs light for disband or continue with band A result for disband will be 99.9

Band A is a scam or let say idea from a non intelligent man not considering the masses and this eeediot wants to be a governor in a state

Paramount01:

If you ever voted or ed Tinubu to be become president, enjoy what you've always wanted, this is one of the benefit of your or vote so enjoy it but if you did not, you will have to endure it or find a way out since that is not what you've always wanted, well I still pray you find a way out whether you voted or ed Tinubu or not...

Sell off all your electronics and make use of only important light bulbs.

Those gadgets are liabilities

Are you using a prepaid meter? The only option is for you to use solar

Move to Solar and save your money.

If you have the fund, install a solar system with original lithium batteries, solar s, and other accessories. With this set-up, you can go off-grid depending on your system's capacity.

On the other hand, if your energy need is average or minimal, you could tilt towards PORTABLE POWER STATIONS – I'd recommend ECOFLOW. You'd enjoy maximum efficiency, reliable power source, longer lifespan, seamless mobility, and reduced grid cost.

In addition to that, you need to replace your power-hungry appliances with energy-saving electronics to minimize energy cost and usage.

Consequently, what I can deduce from the recent complaints from Band A s is, most Nigerians are not ready or cannot afford stable electricity.
