Reminds me of when my Ex wife was near delivering our son and I asked the Doctor what will happen if Nepa takes light during delivery and what if she needed a blood transplant and he said he would use a lantern and as per the blood, he will drive round other nearby hospitals in Lagos and search for where he can get blood for the transplant. The next morning, I cancelled the ante-natal arrangement she had with that Doctor and re-ed her at a better hospital I looked for, inspected and vetted myself. (I was not in town when her Dad ed her with the old Doctor who happened to be a tenant of her Dad's friend).
I'm a doctor. You did the right thing. That doc is a potential unaliver

Abeg, keep quiet if u have nothing to say! Na lucky dem dey use win EPL trophy? Or what nonsense statement be this one?So Liverpool players didn't have injuries? Trent,Mac Alista, Konate,Allison,Jota,Gakpo,Sobozlai, Elliot, Bradly, etc. they didn't have injuries this season right?

There is nothing spectacular about Liverpool of this season compared to Arsenal of last season. Liverpool can only get total of 89 points if they win their remaining 2 matches. That was the same number of points Arsenal got last term in 2nd position. Liverpool was only lucky Arsenal and City had serious injury problems while Liverpool had their important players around all through. Simple.
So Alisson, Konate, TAA, Robertson, Mac Allister, Jota, Gakpo are not important players?
The delusion of Arsenal fans need to be studied

If you couldn't pick on the answer and if one has to explain a riddle, proverb etc to you. I don't think you're fit for discuss.
I never used riddles for you cos this is an intellectual argument. One has to be clear in making point. So clearly answer my questions.
I noticed you JW have a knack of dodging difficult questions. Not just you, the main nut.job here too. Of course we see through all these gimmicks

1.No poll was conducted. I'm talking about their experience, medical decisions and management protocols globally.
2. Buying phones etc has nothing to do with emergency transfusions
Please answer the questions thrown to you and stop deflecting

1.In this thread, I can count up to 4 doctors who are practicing in different parts of the world. And the unanimous decision : blood transfusion is still the bedrock of medicine in 2005. If you are a doctor, let us know researches that said blood transfusions ARE NO MORE used in emergencies
2. I gave scenarios of acute blood loss where blood is needed immediately, you haven't replied to that.
3. Please how is that sentence contradictory? Many procedures can be done bloodlessly via laparoscopy but the costs are astronomical. Example, open appendectomy is averagely 500k in Lagos. Laparoscopic appendectomy is averagely 1.5m. How many can afford it? And whats more, not every hospital can do laparoscopic procedures. Its a costly procedure and you may do it maybe once a week. And what's more, some laparoscopic procedures may be eventually converted to open procedures.
So what in the above post is contradictory?

Are you aware of the cost of marriage, buying cars or building houses in Nigeria? Of course not.
Also in emergency cases like infidelity, fire outbreaks or collapse, what should we do?
Yes I am aware. They are relative. Some cars and houses cost more than others.
In those fire emergencies you listed, you put off the fires.
Now can you quit faffing, and answer my question you dodged. Thank you

I don't comment on any other section on Nairaland except Religion.

My response here is to show everyone that God's law is ahead of scientists so if anyone feels blood transfusion can save him or her it's OK but i will forever object to whatever God says is not good for my health:

"For the holy spirit and we ourselves have favored adding no further burden to you except these necessary things:  to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols, from blood, from what is strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you carefully keep yourselves from these things, you will prosper. Good health to you!” Act 15:28-29

Before this inspiration from God there was prohibition of certain edibles but here God's Holy Spirit is saying we can eat any kind of meat yet blood should be avoided.

WHY?

God's word answered:

For sound health.

So if scientists say they know better than God yet the hazard of obvious and you say you're taking side with scientists it's OK i will always be on God's side in life and in death! Romans 8:38-39

Oga, I'm quoting an experienced transfusion practioner who is not a Jehovah's witness yet she said she will never accept blood transfusion in Nigeria.
Whatever he says is his opinion. Stick to evidence. What he says is not true, whether he's a doctor or not. Ask many doctors and also research yourself

Complications for consent not granted by the family. Even if the court grants it, you're still involved if they sue. You took the mater to court yourself. What the court just did is a breach of human right and can be countered by a higher court. The court has no right to decide medical issues for the family. They are other safer ways of treating people without blood but they forced their opinion on the family.

Allow the family chose their type of complications to deal with.

Lying against people does not make you wise nor prove any of your points.
Or maybe you're mixing up different people.
They do not refuse medical care and believe that Jehova would heal the child as you said.
It's unfortunate in 2025 that to a typical Nigerian, the thought of refusing blood transfusion sounds like refusing treatment altogether because of how moribund the successive governments have rendered both our education and medical sectors.
Heart surgeries, caesarian sections etc have been done without blood transfusion.
Faith or Religion is not the only basis for refusal of certain practices in medicine around the world but that's another story.
Blood transfusion is the bedrock of many medical practices globally, not just Nigeria. These procedures you listed can be done bloodlessly but its not every center that offers it and the costs are astronomical
jaephoenix(m): 12:26pm On May 10
jmichael259:
Blood transfusion itself is not treatment and in a sane country, things can be done without it.
It might be fewer but it's not unusual nor unheard of for people to refuse chemotherapy, invasive surgery, transplants, resuscitation, blood transfusion etc
The sad part of this is that this is a country where Doctors are still using 1945 methodologies. They don't know any other things to do in such situations in case of unavailability(which is a frequent occurrence in our hospitals) or refusal of transfusion. They don't have plasma and other blood replenishment or blood recycling equipment, they don't even know what those things look like.
For the people involved in this particular matter, having to wait till now to attempt to remove the child is a sign of being unprepared or even negligent. The child should have been gone at the first sign of opposition or inability to ister treatment. You have no business there in the first place if you did your homework or actually aligned with the people of your fath.
Do not get pregnant and have kids if you cannot think, plan and save ahead. If the child has a condition or your faith denies some treatment methods then you should have arranged such matters with hospital liaison committees long time ago. A prepared person has no business being in a place where outsiders are now trying to impose, veto or retrace steps for you.
Fortunately, There are thousands of modern hospitals and doctors with experience to cater for these and many more cases such as Laser removal of kidney Stones without surgery, alternative care without chemotherapy, treatment without blood etc
Do not use faith as excuse for blood transfusion if you'll fail to monitor and comply with precautionary measures against drop in blood levels or having emergency s of similar faith doctors or hospitals that are able to handle your case. A person whose faith doesn't allow meat, will go out of their way to find and learn to prepare nutritious and strengthening vegetable based meals.
Are you aware of the cost and unavailability of bloodless surgery on Nigeria? Of course not.
Also in emergency situations like post partum hemorrhages and massive traumatic hemorrhage, what should we do?
jaephoenix(m): 12:20pm On May 10

Be ready to take care of the complications too should it go south. Cos the parents have the right to sue you for going against their wish and putting them in a mess of taking care of complications.
No. You can't sue. We are covered by law in such cases. In this case, if the transfusion goes south, there's nothing anyone can do. But these are rarities

In this side of the world people acting on what they have little or no knowledge about is common.
Blood Transfusion is no longer tenable as a safe means of treatment around the world.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLotSbIHSVY?si=ufYjQ189kSCqjx_s

Though God has warned His worshipers thousands of years ago to abstain from blood {Genesis 9:4} stating it'll guarantee good health {Act 15:28-29} but faithless people feels the book (Bible) shouldn't be the sole determinant of whatever they choose to do with their lives as it's an old book written by people they don't know.

Today health practitioners around the world are enlightening their people against the hazards of blood transfusion.
You posted side effects of blood transfusion but you ignored the importance of blood transfusion.
And who told you we don't transfuse patients again? What kind of scam.mer are you ffs? We give blood transfusions regularly. I have had this convo with you but you prefer falsehood(and your denom thrives on it) to the truth. Blood is a life saver. We do blood drives regularly. We give women bleeding after birth and people who have massive bleeding blood. Blood substitutes like hemacels, erthropoietin etc simply won't work since they take time. Before they boost the blood, the patient is already long dead especially those 2 instances I gave.
Yes blood transfusion has some dangers just like any medications. But the pros far outweigh the cons. We weigh the benefits and decide its safe. All those side effects listed can be avoided. I have transfused more than 100 patients since my housejob days and never had a mortality. I had only 2 pyrogenic reactions which is mild fever that go away but transfusion still continues.
Max you should be off Nairaland for misinforming people. Look at the gullible folks liking this your comment

Pastor Adeboye, Kumuyi, Oyedepo and other general overseers use bodyguards. They also use police escorts when travelling by road. Many of them use bullet proof cars . Is this right? Is it lack of faith? Is it wisdom? Is God not enough to protect them?

My thoughts
1) Nigeria (just like Israel in the times of Christ and the Apostles) is a difficult terrain riddled with kidnapping especially of rich and famous people. This makes men of God who are perceived to be very rich ideal targets.Luke 10:30-37

2) Jesus had 12 male disciples with at least one of them armed with a sword. He even encouraged all of them to buy swords. Luke 22:36/37 - 36 Jesus said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a SWORD, sell your cloak and buy one. 38 The disciples said, “See, Lord, here are two SWORDS.That’s enough!” He replied

3) Jesus had many people following him including women and they all needed protection from roadside/wilderness robbers and slave traders. He therefore needed his disciples to be armed to protect His team. Luke8:1-3

4) There are many times the message of Christ hit the Jews so hard that they wanted to stone him believing He was Blasphemous. He escaped most times likely with the of his disciples who shielded Him. John 10:31-39

5) The disciples also helped to protect Jesus from the crowd who wanted to touch Him by all means. They could end up injuring Him and tearing His garments.Matt9:20-22

You're even shooting yourself in the foot.
So they can't repel kidnappings despite all their 'power'?

This is a testimony from a Lady. A former Atheist, who was taken to Heaven and Hell years ago as an unbeliever. This is not an NDE Experience because her Spirit was taken to Heaven. Her experience is similar to many other testimonies of people who experienced Heaven. She was specifically chosen by God for this experience in order for her to work on herself and share the full details of what she saw with unbelievers and the whole body of Christ. When she got there, she realised she was not the only one as there were others like her who were taken to Heaven for the same purpose.

She gives very vivid details of all the things she saw in Heaven. Angel Gabriel was assigned to her to deliver messages and instructions of things she will see and do while he gave her some Tour. Almighty God was behind her, explaining things she saw and giving her instructions. She described his voice to be the Voice of many waters which is Biblical. She also says the Voice sounded like the voice of Two people but yet one person. She later understood that it was actually Jesus in the Father and the Father in Jesus. She was not permitted to see God’s Face and certain areas in Heaven.

The lady was also shown a Feast taking place over there which was The Marriage of the Lamb recorded in the Book of Revelations.

She was then taken to Hell and shown what it is like when we are not in the presence of God. She explains how she had to work on herself and realised God was not in of her relationship between her and the Father of her Children. She needed to cut it off as a demonic entity/influence was attached to that Toxic relationship based on Trauma.

Watch and be blessed as we reflect on the Sacrifice our Kings of Kings and Lord of Lords made for us, risen to Life and conquering Death forever, for we who have been called to the Heavenly Kingdom. May this testimony draw you closer to my Heavenly Father and my Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Sand2022, you will love this testimony.

How do you know that a vehicles Navigator system has a Software running it?

Can you see the software?

How do babies suddenly know that they should breathe air? How do they know that they should suck their mother's nipples? Why should they have pain and discomfort receptors? Why do they just begin to imitate older people?
1. When you hear children screaming in your neighbors apartment, do you still ask if there are people in your neighbor's apartment? The noise is an indicator.
Same goes for software. The visual output on the dashboard screen showing directions etc is evidence of the software

2. Its like you haven't been reading my posts. Lemme repeat. Breathing is a spontaneous process, you don't think about it. It happens from the brain. I also told you babies suck anything near them. Nipple, fingers etc. Sometimes, when we are trying to examine them in the clinic, and they cry too much, we put their fingers into their mouths, they latch onto it and start sucking it.
I can't answer the other questions twice. Please scroll up. If you ask me again, I'll ignore you
