For how long? You can't be more careful than the person who's monitoring you.
Go ask the Yoruba the meaning of polygamous marriage. It means the house of war in Yoruba. You don't sleep or be naive. If you can't war then don't go into polygamy. Your rivals are monitoring you 24/7! They will monitor you and your children for ever! Even their husband knows and try to fence the children and grandchildren as much as possible

What a family.Smh.

Parents who release their daughters into polygamous families really have mind o.

The mother was just plain naive. I know women who would have locked that door and/or taken her child along to the rest room then manage themselves together just to keep her baby alive.

The police should get Justice for the baby.

The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested a housewife, Zaliha Shuaibu, for allegedly killing her co-wife’s three-month-old baby by feeding him acid in Malari village, located in the Soba Local Government Area of the state.

The disturbing incident occurred on May 13, 2025, inside the family compound shared by the suspect, her husband, and the baby’s mother, Maryam Ibrahim.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, in a statement made available to Saturday PUNCH on Friday, confirmed the incident and said the suspect was arrested following a swift investigation by the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the Soba Division.

According to the police, trouble began when Maryam left her baby alone in the room to use the bathroom. Upon her return, she found the infant in the arms of her co-wife, Zaliha.

“Zaliha handed the child back to Maryam, who immediately noticed that the baby was in distress, with foam coming out of his mouth and a visible injury on his neck,” Hassan said.

The child was rushed to a nearby hospital in the village but was pronounced dead on arrival.

“Following the incident, the DPO of Soba Division quickly mobilised his team and arrested the suspect, Zaliha Shuaibu. During interrogation, she confessed to feeding the baby acid with the help of her husband’s younger brother, Lawal Muhammad, who is currently on the run,” the police spokesperson added.

According to Hassan, Zaliha confessed that it was Lawal who provided the acid used to carry out the heinous act.

The Commissioner of Police in Kaduna State, Rabiu Muhammad, has assured the public that no stone will be left unturned in the investigation and that all individuals connected to the crime will be brought to book.

He further vowed that the fleeing suspect would be tracked down and justice served.

Don't look at physical appearances, when taking a decision to marry a woman. Those features fade with time. Character and intelligence are recessive while physical features are dominant, if I may put it that way, for those who studied sciences and read about dominant and recessive genes.

Only prayer can reveal those good qualities in every woman. Ask people like us with experience.
Be careful bro. You may be lusting after her
He that findeth a wife findeth a good thing. Prayer complements everything in life. There are marriages that started this way and still standing today. He should shoot his shot in a decent and matured way that respects boundaries. That the relationship will end in marriage depends on both parties not only him.

Business jet crash in San Diego neighborhood leaves multiple people dead, officials say
By Chelsea Bailey, Aaron Cooper,
Pete Muntean

Hours after an aircraft slammed into a San Diego neighborhood Thursday, the smell of jet fuel remained thick in the air as investigators scoured the area for clues to uncover what caused the plane to crash, killing multiple people.

The business jet careened into homes in a San Diego military housing community just before 4 a.m. Thursday, authorities said. The debris field is at least a quarter mile long, and jet fuel rained down the residential street, igniting several cars and damaging others as far as several blocks away from the main crash site.

At least two people have died and eight others were injured, according to the San Diego Police Department.

It is unclear how many people were onboard the jet, but all the fatalities appear to be from the plane, San Diego Fire Assistant Chief Dan Eddy said during a press conference on Thursday.

First responders quickly rushed to quell the flames as residents helped evacuate their neighbors from the homes, authorities said.

Hours later, the sun rose over charred ruins of a home badly damaged from the plane, which gouged a hole in the side of the house and collapsed the roof onto a car below.

“I can’t quite put words to describe what this scene looked like but with the jet fuel running down the streets and everything on fire all at once, it was pretty horrific to see,” Scott Wahl, San Diego Police Chief, said during the press conference.

The San Diego police department later confirmed one person has been hospitalized and two others were treated and released following the incident.

San Diego Fire department told CNN that a Cessna 550 airplane, often called a Citation, “crashed near Montgomery Executive Airport around 3:45 am” Thursday.

The private jet is commonly used for business travel and can carry eight to ten people.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation istration are investigating the crash

CNN aviation safety analyst David Soucie said one of his biggest concerns is that the Cessna Citation airplanes are generally considered “one of the most reliable airplanes.”

Although he’s awaiting the findings from the FAA investigation into the crash, including whether fog could have played a role. Soucie said the presence of jet fuel on the ground would seem to indicate that the plane did not run out of gas.

He cautioned it could also take some time to determine how many people were onboard the aircraft.

“It is really difficult, considering the level of damage, I don’t want to get too morose about it, to actually identify how many people are on the aircraft,” he said. “So it may take a little while considering the damage to the airplane.”

Eddy told the Associated Press it was very foggy at the time the private plane crashed. “You could barely see in front of you,” he said.

Visibility was down to half a mile with low cloud ceilings around the time of the crash, weather observation data shows.

At a news conference Thursday, Eddy said there was “more than one” fatality aboard the plane, but the FAA is working to confirm how many people were ed travelers.

“I can tell you that there are multiple homes, upwards of 10 homes, that were affected,” Eddy said at the conference. “Also when it hit the street, as the jet fuel went down, it took out every single car.”

Video captured by a neighborhood resident who asked to remain anonymous shows flames engulfing vehicles lining both sides of the street shortly after the crash, as their car alarms blared.

The resident told CNN they were awakened by a loud boom and their house began shaking. The man ran outside to see the whole street ablaze and grabbed a hose to begin spraying down his yard, he said, then he decided to evacuate the area.

He told CNN he also helped police knock on his neighbors doors so they could evacuate.

Captain Robert Heely, Commanding Officer of Naval Base San Diego, said the neighborhood is “one of the largest military housing units in the world.”

“Certainly we have a lot of military families that are impacted,” Heely said, before adding his condolences to the families of those on board the plane.

San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria vowed the city will continue to those affected.

“They are part of a military community that makes up our city – proud partners of our community – and we will them for as long as it takes to make sure that we get back to good here,” he said.

The San Diego Humane Society has taken in at least 12 pets affected by Thursday’s crash, including multiple dogs whose fur was doused in jet fuel.

A post on X shows the humane society’s medical team donned hazmat suits to decontaminate and wash off the animals.

According to the flight tracking site FlightAware, the Citation took off from Teterboro Airport, just outside of New York City, late Wednesday night.

The plane stopped in Wichita, Kansas for about an hour before flying on to San Diego.

The pilot of the plane asked air traffic controllers about the weather at Montgomery Gibbs Field when they were descending at 9,000 feet, but the automated weather system at the airport was not working, air traffic control recordings show.

“The Montgomery ASOS is out of service,” the Southern California Approach controller told the pilot in audio recorded by LiveATC.net. The Automated Surface Observing System provides weather updates every minute, 24/7.

“I’ve got the Miramar automated weather,” the controller radioed the pilot and provided him the conditions from the Marine Corps Airfield – about three miles away. The controller reported poor conditions visibility of a half mile and a cloud ceiling of 200 feet.

The pilot’s responses were not recorded by the website. The controller checked another airport which was “a little bit better but not much” before the plane proceeded to try and land at Montgomery Gibbs.

The pilot announced on the radio the plane was three miles away from a planned landing on Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport runway 28, according to a recording from the website LiveATC.net.

There was no sign of any problem, and no emergency was declared.

The airport has a control tower, but it is not staffed in the overnight hours so pilots announce their intentions to any other pilots listening on the “common traffic advisory frequency.”

The Citation, according to FAA records, is owned by a company in Alaska and was built in 1985.

UTME 2025: ‘Truck pushers cannot direct pilots,’ JAMB Registrar fires back at resignation calls

…Says mop-up exam planned for candidates with genuine reasons for missing UTME

…Calls for minute of silence for candidate who died by suicide

…Results of rescheduled exams to be released via press statement

Professor Ishaq Oloyede, Registrar of the t issions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has responded strongly to critics calling for his resignation following challenges during the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Speaking during a meeting with key stakeholders, including chief external examiners and civil society organizations in Abuja, Oloyede dismissed the calls for his resignation, stating that those criticizing his leadership lacked the qualifications to question his stewardship.

“Truck pushers cannot direct pilots,” he said, in reference to critics whom he believes are unqualified to advise on matters of education.

His remarks come in the wake of demands for his resignation, particularly from the South-East Caucus of the House of Representatives, following controversies that trailed this year’s UTME.

Professor Oloyede announced that JAMB will conduct a special mop-up examination for candidates who missed the 2025 UTME for genuine reasons, covering approximately 5.6% of total candidates.

“We are creating a new mop-up. Even those who missed the earlier exam due to absence will be given another opportunity. It’s not extraordinary. In any academic setting, makeup exams are normal.”

He emphasized that JAMB remains committed to inclusiveness and fairness in the exam process and reassured stakeholders that the mop-up will ensure no candidate is unjustly left out.

Addressing criticisms rooted in ethnic and conspiracy narratives, Oloyede firmly denied allegations of ethnic favoritism or istrative incompetence.

“People say, ‘Where is he from?’ That never mattered to me. I’ve worked with people based on their competence, not their ethnicity. The idea that this is a conspiracy is baseless.”

He added that many public reactions were fueled by ignorance and misinformation, calling on stakeholders and the media to stop politicizing educational issues.

Oloyede also reminded the public that UTME is a placement test, not a measure of intelligence.

“UTME ranks candidates for available spaces in tertiary institutions. It is not the final measure of a student’s intelligence or future.”

He stressed that university issions take into multiple criteria, including post-UTME scores and institutional assessments.

The Registrar spoke emotionally about the suicide of a 19-year-old candidate, Opesusi Timilehin, over low UTME scores. He called for a minute of silence in her honor during the meeting.

“That tragedy broke all of us. Unfortunately, there were also false reports—some parents called me pretending their children had died, only to ask for money later.”

He revealed he initially considered reg over the incident but was persuaded to stay the course by those who believed the candidates needed his continued leadership.

“When this happened, my first reaction was to resign. But people advised me that the students will never forgive you—it would appear as though you abandoned them in their moment of need.”

While many expected the results of the rescheduled UTME to be released on Wednesday, Oloyede was silent on the issue during the meeting. However, JAMB spokesperson Dr. Fabian Benjamin assured that the results will be released shortly via an official press statement.

Oloyede concluded the session by expressing gratitude to stakeholders and reaffirming his commitment to ability, transparency, and fairness in the conduct of JAMB’s duties.

“Let us not descend to the level of opportunists exploiting challenges for personal or political gain. We will fix what went wrong and continue to build an examination system Nigeria can be proud of.”
