Please for the sensitivity of the issue I won't mention the bank's name. The only thing left is for that bank to open an estate and transfer in the money, which they are frustrating
You embolden them when you protect their name from being mentioned.

Good morning Nairalanders.

Few months ago I sought for help from this forum in my post titled "I'm About To Lose My Dad's Contributory Pension Bankers/Lawers Help", of which I received good comments.

One of those comments was for me to approach the court for a "Letter Of istration" if I'm the next of kin or the beneficiary to my dad's properties.

After a long process at the court, I was finally issued with the said letter. I then took the letter to the bank where my dad was operating after being advised to open an Estate .

I then applied for Estate , but up till today they (bank) have refused to open that giving flimsy excuse always. I'm beginning to suspect foul play from the bank.

Can I open such in another bank while presenting the bank my dad was operating with number for the money to be transfered in or sue the bank while they pay for damages?

HELP!!!
Why don't you save yourself the headache and hire a lawyer?
Or if you really want to make noise take the matter to social media and tag the bank on Twitter.

Hello brothers! I am a regular salary earner from a reputable company that doesn't joke with staff salary,I want to seek a loan up to 500k from gtb at the end of December to add to the 500k I have saved up.
I intend to use the money to get an operational bus which would attract income daily while repaying of the loan from part of my monthly income, I Dont think there could be that much issue paying the loan back.
Seeing peoples opinion here,I am scared but would love to gain experience from you all
Your idea is good. But who will drive the bus for?
Have you done transport business before?
Assuming, issues come up in your business can you be able to make your monthly payment and still be to cater for your other pressing needs from what is left of your salary?
Answer those questions honestly to yourself. Then you can proceed. However events turn out, just know that have another stream of income is a great idea and you are on the right track.

Sometimes this year I accessed a loan of 600k for a business idea I have. The loan tenor is 24 months and I will be repaying about 750k interest and Principal inclusive. the business is projected to yield 60k monthly for about 15 to 18 months.
The beauty of this is that my salary is my collateral. After deducting their monthly repayment amount, I still have something to fall back on, while still earning from my side business.

Mindset? Open your eyes and stay off loans! Loans kill real quick! If you want peace, run away from loans.
It depends on where you are getting your loans from?
It depends on why you need the loan?
It depends on your level of financial intelligence.
My dear loans are leverages to creating lasting wealth. I know it's hard for some people to wrap their heads around it.
A wise man once said, there are bad loans and there are good loans. Get financial education and know how to leverage on loan, otherwise known as Other people's money (Opm)

Normally,Nigerians are not good at repaying loans...and for the guy that says 90% bankers don't take loans.

I think I disagree with u on that, because many bankers if not 90% in Nigeria live practically on loans and that is why if they are sacked, they usually go home with nothing.
Like in some banks, many staff are forced to take loans, especially car loans which can last for 5-10 years depending on ur salary. And same thing happens when they are offering IPO on shares to their staff before they go public.

The bottom line is,ensure u pay ur loan promptly as at when due and do so knowing fully that loan can help ur business tremendously. With the mindset of a Nigerian,u can never be honest with loans.

For example,I have 4 loans running on my head and monthly I make prompt payment without delay....and because of that,my bankers are always calling me to come and liquidate to get a new one especially on those ones I have few months to redeem.

Let us all change our mindset about loans.

God bless you my brother. Mindset is all that matters.

Okay...

Obtaining loan from a bank or any loan-issuing organization is good but a risky venture. It's always as if there is a demon which controls loan in general.

It takes wisdom, restraint and proper management to utilize loan in the best way.

About the 'demon' thing, studies shows that 86.5% of people who took loan fails to repay it,thereby having their properties confiscated.

I may be wrong, but if there are other means you could generate capital,go for it and ditch any thought of loan obtaining.
if you are a civil servant structure your loan around your salary and use your salary as a collateral

I don't have much to say. but Christian threads should equally be censored like Muslim threads.
Hypocrisy is turning a blind eye to equity.

There was a time on nairaland when christains trolled every single islamic thread telling them that they are going to hell and blah blah blah. That measure was put in place to reduce that occurence.

We need to tolerate each other's religion if we want to be great as a country but some christains are too judgemental.

Just so u know, I am a christain
So now it's the time of Christian threads to be trolled by any and everyone who wishes it? And you find nothing wrong with pledging allegiance to Allah and Mohammed, but every tom and harry can walk in and out of a christain thread.
Please tell me more about religion tolerance.

Everyone is allowed to comment on Christian threads, but the Islam threads require that I swear an allegiance to Allah and Mohammed. .... even here that is a faceless forum, hypocrisy abounds.

I ton (20 of 50kg) of rice is $150 in Thailand and India
Dollar at 355; $150 is about 53k naira.
Meaning 20bags is 53k. Therefore one bag is #2650.

My question is, do Nigeria farmers use gold as fertilizer for for their own rice? With the huge difference in price, the temptation to continue to import is very high.
Truth is, they can't stop rice smuggling, because their huge profit to be made from it. Las las Nigerian custom is still corrupt.

Stifling business environment. They are always quick to shout come and invest,,,, come and invest. But when it's time to set enabling environment for the growth of the industry, they will that they may not be the direct beneficiary through fraudulent activities and you see them dragging feet.
Those that invested in power are also regretting it.
