That's very true. A woman who thinks she has arrived will hardly be loyal...In fact, it takes a man who is by far richer than her to get her to obey him.

Then, she should leave men alone and marry her riches. Very simple!

Those mentioning Ighalo's name aren't football lovers. Igahlo arguably has one of the best goal records in his short spell at United. He made 23 appearance as a substitute and netted 5 goals

Nigeria, almost everything is upside down. Politics is not a family business. Obi and wife were together during the campaign. His son has is own trade oversea. As to why he didn't present himself for campaign is not anybody's business

It was never said Obi gave appointments or contracts to his family or children while he was a governor unlike BAT. So, it's safe to say BAT operates a family politics which is one killing us the most

What a dumb question!

haybhi1:
obviously, you lack knowledge on how things work, but I'll try to cure some of it.

1. I agree that they should have kept quiet because Obi has always shown his ignnorrance and slowness by talking before researching.
2. A. If you must study abroad as a Nigerian, it's absolutely impossible without a WAEC. B. Foreigners study here without JAMB too, just WAEC. They are littered in our universities. (P.S. you prolly didn't WAEC so bereft on the idea of its importance).
3. You're the only one not thinking, alonside your crass ignnorannce. Every country has its regulating bodies for examination and there are exams you must be in the country to do, e.g. USMLE III. One of the inefficacy or laxity in exam regulations is why you see UK lamenting of the frauud in Nursing exams on FP the other day.
4. JAMB might have been too difficult for you to because you sound far from a brillllliannt human, but it's definitely not frrauud. It's the only pre-university exam, indeed, in Nigeria that's not aduultterated. Na either your braaiin or luck. Unlike WAEC, JAMB has no special centres, so ollooddos like you have to study hard, lest you prefer to keep lamennting.
5. Nigeria isn't wastting youth. That's a liiee.
6. The best way to strengthen our pre-university education system must always include strengthening JAMB with more exam centres, so students don't have to travel too far.

So Paul, think and research before talking online, not everyone is as shortssighhted, man.

Just trying to understand the epistle you wrote. Are you aware some children left home about 4am? Is this the first JAMB that have been written in the nation, even in the new CBT format?

I'm not a politician, but, I love disruptive thinking and comparative analysis. This is what drew my attention to Obi the first time. If it's possible somewhere with more population, it is possible here too.

Everything from FG shouldn't be defended, on the JAMB timing, JAMB failed woefully. The timing was out of it. I have two close persons who left for JAMB 4am. Can you imagine! And you want these kids to settle down to write an exam by 8am, teens for that matter!

Marriage itself iss not for the weak... It takes courage and true understanding of the concept of life and value for each other to go into marriage. Every marriage will be tried!

I will continue to say, marriage is so beautiful, and like every other things that is beautiful comes with a price!

I see many using this opportunity to downplay marriage

Don't be deceived by this trash 🗑️🗑️🗑️ you can't use HND outside Nigeria for Masters.

Guys BSc has never been so important in the history of Nigeria like these times, Your BSc is your ticket to escape this shithole called Nigeria.

Get your BSc, keep it and hustle for money then dust your BSc certificate, and Japa through Masters route cool cool cool

I'm a HND holder but I'm running a degree program with National Open University, I'll finish my program end of this year.

I'll never encourage anyone to go for anything Polytechnic 👎

Currently studying Master In Power Engineering in the US from a prestigious university of technology amongst first five in the US.

Studying masters, like I explained previously depends on the courses you did, as in my case, electrical engineering, the years, your GP in key courses and most importantly, your Work Experience. Let me even burst your head, you study almost same courses for Electrical Engineering in both University and Polytechnic and those schools in US are only interested in your Transcripts and most especially your work experience for graduate programs and not the name of the certificates as in the case of Nigeria

Then change the UTME cut off for both parties and the number of years for courses must be the same.

Both years are even the same if not more for the HND holder. Perhaps, you're referring to an ND holder. Get the understanding. It takes you a minimum of 4yrs to be in HND 1 regardless of the course you're studying in the Polytechnic. I'll give you a breakdown, 2yrs for your ND, 1yr compulsory IT (This is only when you've successfully ed your ND without CO), 2yrs for HND. Altogether, you have a minimum of 5yrs in obtaining HND Certificate
udeh3(m): 3:19pm On Mar 24
It takes 5yrs to study any course in HND and graduate. Anyone who es through the HND program spent a minimum of 5yrs regardless of the course of study which is unlike the University where some courses are less than 5yrs. The discrimination is very unnecessary

They both spent same years to study Engineering and one is discriminated after years of studying. One is trained in technology while the other is trained in research and science

The combination of both graduates are needed in a modern day technology driven economy. As a student of Masters In Power Engineering in the US, I used my HND. Over there, the courses you did in your undergraduate level, the years and experiences in your field of practice is what counts. This is why the US structure has two master systems, master in technology and master in science. Master in technology is for the industry while master in science is for research and development. Very straight forward

Both the university and the Polytechnic offers same engineering courses and read same textbooks, spent same number of years. I wouldn't know what other discipline

If the rumor is true, then, the agency responsible for regulating market prices should get into the markets and start arresting sellers selling otherwise

Biochemistry

So, as lovely as Bio-Chemistry, the best thought is to go take a UTME form?

This is my take...

The problem with graduates is "the money syndrome". After NYSC, we want to make money and not build career

Building a career takes you following processes. For you, all hope isn't lost

Get an Internship position asap in a big lab or chemical firm (maybe a pharmaceutical company). The challenge is, you might not even be paid, best bet, a stipend. But, these are your building blocks in growing. Sadly, you're doing this now, but, that shouldn't discourage you

I hope this helps

Hello everyone,

I’m at a crossroads in my career and could really use some advice from those with experience. I’m a 30-year-old male, and I’ve been teaching for several years now. While I appreciate the experience, I can’t shake the feeling of stagnation—I haven’t truly advanced in my field or made significant strides related to my course of study.

What's your field of study as a graduate?

Now, I want to take a bold step forward, but I’m torn between two paths:

Pursuing a Master’s degree to deepen my expertise and possibly open up better opportunities in my current field.
Starting afresh by enrolling in a university to study a computer-related course, since tech is a field I find intriguing and potentially rewarding.
I’d love to hear from those who have faced similar decisions or have insights into the best path forward. Which option do you think offers better prospects in the long run?

Looking forward to your thoughts!

I came for a function in Ekiti State, having schooled here many years ago...

The only striving business that can stand the test of time in Ekiti State, is building tertiary institution. The state is almost the same over fifteen years ago that I left

This government understands this and are making everything possible to seeing that these two state close to each other fully benefits from FG in of building of tertiary institution.

As a man, I sometimes wonder why this kind of question consistently keep coming... Your mother is your father's wife. She can never take the place of your wife. Maybe, you will call your mother to take care of you when you're old

You'll live more with your wife than you'll ever stay with your mother. And the constant use of my mother s me here and there doesn't make sense. Marriage, especially for the young is a growth process. Even your wife at a certain stage will start recognizing the duty of her immediate family and then start prioritizing her. Your mother wasn't this caring when she was newly married. She grew into the responsibility you're seeing.

How will you compare your mother to your wife when the age gap is generational?

Men should learn to accept their wives and give them opportunities to make mistakes, learn and grow. Marriage comes in stages

I frown against comparison between mother and wife, father and husband. It's a sign of weakness and ignorance

Keep your head up. A man's situation can change in one moment.

I was broke to a point where I'd usually think of ending things. Lack of courage and the thought of my mama was why I couldn't do it.

Till the end of 2019. I could barely save anything from my income. At the beginning of the following year, things started to get better and better. It got much better in subsequent years till the point where I was earning about 100x of what I used to earn in 2019.

A lot of my problems are gone, but new ones are here. I'll be 30 in a few months, and doing alright financially. But I'm still not in a relationship let alone married. Perhaps it's due to PTSD from my broke days. The thought of being responsible for other people scares me. Even though the financial responsibility I take in my family is more that of someone with 3 wives.

As somebody has said. Age is only there to put pressure on you.

Your life doesn't exist in the past or future. Where you've been and where you'll be doesn't matter. All you have is this moment. Your life only exists in the moment. And all you can do is make the most out of it.
Always ask yourself whether you are doing your absolute best. If the answer is yes, then there's nothing to worry about. What you are making right now doesn't matter because it will change as long as you keep doing your best.

"If you do your best every day, you don't have to worry about the future" - Jordan Peterson

Living in the past brings regret and living in the future brings anxiety. You suffer twice when you give yourself anxiety about the future.

You may have little control over your current income but you definitely have control over whether it makes or breaks you. The exact same thing can happen to two people. One may allow it to crush them and the other may use it to bring a beast out of themself.
It doesn't matter what happens to you, what matters is what you do about it.

You need to maintain a clear head and prepare for opportunities. Take care of yourself as best as you can. Opportunities may without your knowledge if you allow your current situation to keep you down.

Develop a sense of curiosity about what other people are doing to make money and copy them. It doesn't always require you to learn a skill or have capital. You can help other people sell their items and get a commission. People make a lot of money doing this.

Read books and listen to podcasts

Well, I have seen comments and your reply op...

Life has processes. So, if your salary is 85K/month, what are the services you render? What profession are currently plying your trade? All I see here is complaints and no single time you took to tell us the services/profession you can render

Many of us today didn't even have the opportunity to earn this much in equivalence when we started.

I might not be able to advise you much cos I don't have those information I needed in your epistle. In any case, you need a second hustle. I personally have close to three different side hustle even as A Project Engineer.

You spoke about Marriage. Marriage isn't automatic. It starts by making plans, getting a certain partner and understanding your values and road map to a successful home. Talking about business, you can always think big but start small. Just last September, we ventured into wholesales selling of drinks, but, guess what, we took 200k to depot and even the manager was shocked and told us to go gather more money as this said amount is too small to start wholesale. My wife and I understand what we needed. Within few months down the line, a lot have been learnt, more money raised, with proper book keeping, loan was granted and we could say thank you Lord! On business, you have to think big, but start small. Starting small isn't a sign of foolishness or lack of funds.

You already have an accomodation. You're putting too much pressure on yourself. Why comparing your age with your accomodation? Who is setting the standard? In life, everyone have their routes and story. In your story, your script and directors are different. You should be grateful that you have that accomodation. Focus on improving yourself and side hustles. There's no late coming when it comes to success

You spoke about car... You see to the extent you've allowed social media to control your emotions? At 33, you didn't even thought of those who are still pursuing issions. So many don't even have a job not to talk of salaries. You're earning 85k and already thinking about a car, a family, a business all at once. Why not settle yourself first, be proud of your achievement at this age and be thankful for life.

This is a new year, seriously think of some side hustles. Get the necessary skill needed to trade in those areas. Focus on self development within the first half of the year. Some self development are even free with your data on YouTube and Facebook Platforms you will consume massive educational contents for some side hustles. If you intend to rent a one bedroom flat for 450k, nobody is pointing a gun for you to stay in that area. Look for a less environment to stay. No put pressure on yourself

Let me hold it here...

Find a reason to be grateful at 33

Peace!

Interesting.

Peter Obi's intervention is timely, welcome and needed.

However, most of his arguments seem pedestrian and ill-thought out.

It is not in his place to manage the president. So the suggestion that the president should spend his holidays in different parts of the country or use the National Hospital or visit tertiary institutions or travel through highways do not make sense.

It is curious that this same man opposed the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway. Suddenly, he wants the president to travel on highways. As for the president visiting educational facilities or each state, each state has a governor, three senators, at least a minister, and several houses of representatives . It is not in the place of the president to be everywhere. His ministers are responsible for certain beats.

Asking the president to go to the frontlines shows Peter Obi's backwardness. What happened to Idris Derby Itno? Since Peter Obi is not exactly employed at this time and has been gallivanting, he can set an example and go to the frontlines to motivate our troops.

It is curious that the only comparison Peter Obi could draw was when he took Obasanjo on a road trip that triggered Obasanjo to order the repair of parts of a federal highway. Why couldn't Peter Obi draw parallels to his innovative ideas in rapid infrastructural development, healthcare, education and industrialization? Of ourselves, he couldn't because he was sorely lacking in developmental ideas; hence his pedestrian suggestions.

Dear Peter Onwuabasi Obi (POO), the things you suggest are not propositions on running a country. Enjoy your gallivanting and aimless twitter threads and allow those who have the mandate to lead.

You are not ready to lead Nigeria.

It's called suggestions. Anyone can suggest to the president

It's about the good of the land

Learn to focus on the message and not the messenger

Can True Love Survive Without Money?

Absolutely, true love can survive without money. Money, though essential for meeting life’s practical needs, is merely a tool—it’s not the foundation of love. What aspiring lovers should focus on is value. True love cannot thrive without values like responsibility, empathy, care, patience, vision, and commitment. These are the pillars that uphold a lasting relationship, even in the face of challenges.

This is evident in all walks of life, as even the wealthy often struggle in relationships. Why? Because money cannot replace core values.

A PERSONAL REFLECTION:

After graduating from school and before embarking on my NYSC (National Youth Service Corps), I met a lady while she was still a student. We began dating, but during my service year in Ogun State, my father ed away, and life became even more difficult. My only hope was my vision and the future I was building.

Over time, my then-girlfriend left, saying nothing good could come out of me. It was heartbreaking, but I pressed on, holding onto my dreams. A few years later, I met someone who believed in me. She saw my vision, trusted my potential, and chose to walk this journey with me. That woman is now my wife, and our story has completely transformed.

Ironically, the lady who once despised me and prioritized money over values eventually lost what she thought was secure. By God’s grace, I became the instrument He used to help her find stability again.

The Lesson For Me:
The word “love” has indeed been overabused. True love isn’t about abundance or comfort; it’s revealed in the presence of nothing, scarcity, and want.

Let’s : love thrives not because of what we have but because of the values we hold dear and share with one another.

Welcome to the last day of the year

In the context of this post, yes I would.

Giving birth is a risky venture, one where the woman is between life and death. She has gone through unimaginable pain and torture to push out another living being from her body and is yet to fully recover. Now, after going through that kind of experience, only to hear that your spouse went to conduct a DNA test while you're still on the hospital bed smacks of callousness. The woman in this post wrote "after I just finish pushing out a baby", so this means the test was conducted within hours or days of the baby's delivery.

So yes, I would be willing to walk out of a marriage where my safety and well being is not a priority, but rather whether I have been dĂck hopping is.

Now, in other scenarios, if you want to do a DNA test on my children with you, feel free to go ahead, but never let me know. Make sure you do it in secret, because if I find out, it will taint the love I have for you and I will never forget how you doubted my fidelity and betrayed me. Where I gave you đź’Ż of my affection, it will go down to 40 or 50% because after all my loyalty, you still doubted me enough to run a DNA test on children that belong to you. I will NEVER trust you again.

If you like, reduce your love for him or not, it doesn't changed the fact that he now knows the children are his or not. Your love is inconsequential

If you reduce your love for him and in turn weakens your marriage, he marries another lady. Simple!

How is it her loss when you'll also be losing your child? Because chances are she'll never allow you to see that child ever again.

When the child reaches a certain age and start asking questions, she might tell him or her how you rejected him or her and went to the extent of conducting a DNA... The child will then hate you.

Shouldn't the man carry a DNA test when in doubt? Is it a crime?

And who on earth told you the child will grow up to hate the father. This is an information age where children can even read their own story when they grow up. Marriage is between two families and you think a family will sit and watch you take their child from them just like that?

Stop watching too much Nollywood movies.
