I quoted you just to educate you.

You said you home eastern states give their Armored Carrier contract to Innoson, but Innoson doesn't manufacture or even assemble Armored Carriers, that's strictly Proforce's territory.

Take the education and stop vibrating.

And it's really silly to say nobody is going to give pro force a contract for the eastern region. Very dumb, shortsighted and self defeating.
Now let me educate you.
You don't even need APCs to do the job. It is an overkill.
And you are never to going to get enough. 120 is not enough to surveil the entire length and breadth of a region.

What you need is a surplus supply of military pick up trucks filled with heavily armed security forces for easy maneuverability and spread.

My friend who is Stella dimoko? U think power is by age... If u know Wat these bloggers av done to people?
Stella is.more relevant than teddy A.or whatever.
She called him to which means she is not trying to slander him or put out false information.

The correct thing to do is to tell her politely that he is not interested in any of her questions instead of acting like an untrained dog.
And he still came online and tried to use her name to get more attention and street cred.

No wonder he went and start having sex on TV.

With oshimhen, Abraham and oyenkuru, I think we are set in the striking department for the next 12 years.

I don't want to see onuachu or whatever near that team.

Yes. Toyota went into the medical business in 2011.
I still think we would be better served getting their automobile business even if for the West African subregion.
They can always build a medical plant anytime.

Iponists are on the verge of calamity
Buhari won by just 2-3 million votes in a country of nearly 200millon.
That is significant level of national opposition.

Stop exaggerating ipob. Buhari's opposition is greater than ipob.

Although I personally disagree with President Buhari.

Many companies set up assembly plants between 2014 and 2016. These include Toyota Nigeria Limited and Coscharis Motors, but they have recently been reporting poor sales.

The exceptions are Innoson and Stallion group (VON), but these two companies are heavily benefitting from government patronage.

I think they need to take another look at our auto policy and see how to make it work in such a way that the local auto plants will be able to make good money and still provide good value for money to the customer.

So I think that the medical facility is a better idea at the moment than the second assembly plant.
Is Toyota into business of medicine?
WTF is going on here?

Why not get them to build a giant world class vehicle plant that can possibily serve the Continent.

Won't that serve us better economically than a single medical aid?

Bros, youre the delusional one here. You just are incapable of accepting the truth, that is why power continues to evade you and all you can do is cry and whine all day long, period. You are addicted to lies, you will not accept the truth as the truth even if it is glaring in your eyes, you will still blame the govt or a northerner for it. Lesson for you bro, Ojukwu after all his mouth and promise of chukwu Okike Abiama on their side helping them ran away at the end, the same Shagari that you insult as illiterate pardoned him before he can return to Nigeria. You insulted the "Aboki" while living and making your livelihood in northern Nigeria, sang songs of hate and superiority, then claimed you were massacred in numbers. Your hate will only continue to do you harm, but you dont even know it. Continue.........
What is this nonsense about?
Have you checked the difference in the quality of life in the east and most parts of the north?
You dey craze for head. Power kii you there.

Abokii. Partially evolved savages.

Don't forget we have Innoson as our own indigenous manufacturer that's needs to be patronized, its not gonna be fair if he brings Toyota down while advocating for local consumption
You are not going to.suddenly start patronizing innoson.
Let's not kid.ourselves.
We would keep importing instead of patronizing innoson.
If the Toyota plants was in Nigeria at least we would know the Jobs and foreign revenues remains here.

Then smuggling will go through the roof. Maybe better for those who see the civil service as their inheritance since the Customs Service will have to recruit enough people to form a human chain round Nigeria. That is not the solution.

When you face an unmovable force the only way to avoid being crushed is not to build a useless wall but to create a pressure equilibrium, an equal and opposite force. I tell you how.

Find another automaker that can rival Toyota and give them a deal they cannot refuse. While the two giants fight each other on the west coast you make your indigenous makers your top priority. Like I said days ago. Every cutting edge industrialist should be on speed dial to Mr. President day and night. And as a President you should have them in a cluster meeting every month for synergy and strategic objectivity.
This is definitely sound.
Invite BMW or Volkswagen and give them a 10 year tax break and first choice access to the biggest market on the Continent.
Maybe even a dedicated power supply from the national grid at dirt cheap rate.

But I don't think buhari is thinking that far.

We are smarter than our president and it is a problem.

grin Since the day buhari won the second tenure

grin I just lost hope in Nigeria till 2023
Unfortunate he is going to be endorsing our next.president when we should be running away from any thing buhari.

In 2023, the first criteria we should be looking for in a camdidate is how can you create jobs, attract investment and rejuvenate the economy.
The person must have no track records of theft or criminality, but our priority should be economic competence.
We don't need someone that would leave their shop and be chasing thief.

One of the key objectives of this deal is to be able to ship Toyota cars assembled in Ghana to Nigeria market at minimal cost - Nigeria is the primary target

All I can see folks here saying is, What do you expect, what do you expect..... this is just annoying. I will tell you what citizens of other countries expect. They expect to engage their leaders in proper plans and programmes to move theor countries forwatrd and they follow up these exoectatiins with torrid oressre to perform, to deluver them.

We have a srserious citizen problem in this country. We simply cannot bring ourselves collective to move forward. I repeat again. Every enlightened Nigerian should be angry, incensed at this development because we know what it means for our economy down the line. Our paltry wealth will be moving to Ghana soon.

We should be as concerned as Americans when a single plant moves to Mexico or Canada and we know how Trump has fought and fought to have production, jobs and wealth retained in America. Why can't we demand this of our leaders....

I tell you why. That is not our priority. Our priority is tribe, religion and sentiment. We are too distracted to demand and have better governance. We simply do not have any values.
How many of them understand the implications of this.?
Our oil wealth would be flowing straight to Ghana at an alarming rate.
And given their anti Nigerian sentiment, that is not something we should be doing.

Instead of electing sound people with the economy as their focal point, they elected an idiot with integrity.

Bad news for Nigeria......really bad news. We drive more toyotas' than the whole of Afrca combined and we still cant get this deal.
Blame your president.
Even a president with an IQ of 70 should be able to convince the Japanese on the merits.

Our FDI inflow is at an all time low. This is not a coincidence.

We shouldn't be bitter about this development in Ghana, not all investors will be in Nigeria. What we want is development in Africa, especially in West Africa which has been overtaken by North and Southern Africa.

we need to think deeply about these things. It will be foolish for Toyota to setup an assembly plant in Nigeria because Nigeria does have a market for new automobile. let's analyze it, in Japan, USA, UK, etc, a graduate who gets his first job can afford to buy a new car via a flexible payment plan. We don't have such a system in Nigeria, instead the likes of Coscharis, Innoson, and Nissan that assemble cars in Nigeria have to depend on banks, a few companies, government purchase via civil service, security agency, and MDA's to survive. Toyota coming to Nigeria will simply mean that they are here to compete for government purchases it simply doesn't make any business sense. And before we point fingers at Buhari, this trend has been in play for more than 20years, Nigeria has a huge population with low purchasing power that can't afford new vehicles.
So Ghana has it.?
I hope you know we are talking about Ghana here not Switzerland.
There are far more people that can afford cars in Nigeria than Ghana.
They didn't come because of poor leadership.

Simple and short.
