Chinua Achebe's books are studied in secondary schools, whilst Wole Soyinka's books, even by nature of their complexity, are studied as Ph.D treatise.

Go to any arts faculty in any university in the western world and see if you would not find Achebe among the recommended text.

On the other hand, Soyinka books as good as they are, are studied in Nigeria only, if they are studied at all.
