What if you just go with the desktop's hard drive or go with the whole board?

In my case, I'll need to take all the components of U if I decide to pieces it - processors, graphics card, hard drives and motherboard. So might be better to just take the laptop for the meantime.

Thanks for your suggestions too.

Articles online says you can travel with a desktop computer in a checked-in baggage as long as it does not exceed the weight limit but consider that it might damage or lost.

IMO, I won't advice it cos I consider it a home electronic and it will give an impression of a potential overstayer at the POE and you can be questioned on why u need to bring a Desktop for a short stay.

Once you want to start your travel lifestyle, try get a travel laptop that you can sync with your desktop to continue your work while away from home.

Thanks. I know I could count on you for an informative reply. I'll go with my laptop instead.

I'll probably ship the desktop afterwards as it's the powerhouse of my workstation. Can't do without it.

No country will ever stop someone from using their laptops because they are on a tourist visa. I also work remotely

I have a desktop and wonder if it will feel like a major baggage

That means u have some months to prepare your and plan your application. I hope you get it all right.

Hi Techspot, hope you get this.

During a tourist visit, can I travel with my desktop computer or will it be a problem at the airport? I work freelance/remote for a living and leaving it behind is going to impact my earnings.

Looking forward to a reply.

Oh wow. Congratulations! Just 6 days? That’s very encouraging . I’ve read the thread like twice already too.

I am applying for a tourist visa with my wife and kid too, so i was wondering if I’d have to chill till after festivities to get started on the process. I read in the thread that expenses could be out of the roof during this period.

Quick questions
Did you buy health insurance?
What airline did you book with, for the application.
How much did you print for your statement of . My balance is less than 4M for now, but it’s an active though.

Have been a silent reader, and from what I read I decided to apply with my family ,suprisingly it took just 6working days and our visa was approved with no interview ,will be in Brazil soon and give everyone updates and pictures of Brazil...so everyone get ready

Congratulations Afelouz.

Please I need answer to this question that I asked earlier. “I have read earlier in the thread that ending of the year is a busy season. Hence high rent and high cost of other stuff.

I want to start the application process. So i am wondering if it might be quieter now due to COVID or is it still best to wait till March ?”

I picked up my PR guys, just want to update you guys.

You all should stay safe.

Thanks a lot. Your response is very deep.

I’m doing it for the kids.

I know their are some provinces with lesser immigrants who process document faster, but I would advice you to stay in São Paulo to get your documents right .

Staying back in Brazil shouldn’t be problem but what are you bringing to the table should be your concerned. If you got vocational training that’s a plus and you are good to go . Looking for a high paying job isn’t easy .

Area of accommodation depends on your kind of lifestyle and your wallet . But don’t forget something important this race now isn’t for us anymore it’s for the future of our kids . Make them no face the same struggle and stress we .

Big thanks to madam @adjo10 for all your selfless help you’re rendering on this platform.

May I ask if there are cities that one should target to be able to obtain VERY FAST baby documents and parents PR?

I heard @techspot talk about São Paulo

What if we decided to stay back and make Brazil a home. Are there suggestions of cities that are safe and won’t break someone’s bank ?

Thanks in advance.

Adjo10:

Hi. Your questions are welcome. Samuelsoma actually gave you the best advice ever. If you don’t have a friend in Brazil that is not a problem here is my suggestion in addition to that of Samuelsoma.

Gather all the documents whiles awaiting your baby’s birth and apply for PR immediately your baby is born. You don’t even need your baby’s port to apply for PR. Your baby’s birth certificate which is given to you on the same day is enough. The protocol that will be given to you on the same day you apply for PR will be valid for 6 months. The PR card takes from 2 to 4 months to be ready. Your baby’s port is ready within 6 working days of application.

Go back to your country of residence immediately and wait for your PR card. You can follow every single movement of the PR process online. When your PR is ready, pick a flight to Brazil using your protocol which allows you to enter the country. Pick you and your family PR and fly back.

Your existing children can get citizenship too but the process requires that they are living in Brazil. You will need to provide proof of them going to school in Brazil, Accomodation contract etc. In short, even though they qualify, it will be difficult for them to benefit from citizenship if you are planning to leave the country immediately. (Almost impossible). I will suggest you apply for PR along side you and plan to settle in Brazil with them for at least some time later on and then apply for Citizenship.
