The MTU Engine training is a pleasant surprise as a lot of our Ships including the two most recent NN UNITY& CENTENARY are MTU Engines I believe ( Someone correct me if I am wrong).

NNS ARADU is probably coming back to life. It uses 2 MTU 20V 956 TM92 diesels.

And here comes the rant: if the UN won't pay for Rooivalk and our troops will be left at the mercy of air cover provided by ineffectual Hinds -the UN itself its the Hind's shortcomings - then we should completely pull out. Everything; the 5 Oryx they want to retain and the Battalion group assigned to the FIB. After Bangui, politicians gave assurances that never again shall our troops deploy without effective air .
The Brazilians forced the UN to accept Super Tucanos and BlackHawks for their coming deployment to CAR. The Dutch, Belgians and Germans refused to paint their choppers UN white in Mali.

Hell, personally I won't be affected by the decision to withdraw the Rooivalk. But how do I sit in Goma planning missions when I know at best 1 Hind will be available and only in daylight hours!

If that's an asat then I don't know what an optical telescope looks like

African Elephant is on the list of endangered animals, but, Nigerian government don't seen to care. In a saner clime like Kenya, this animal would be captured and taken to a wild life conservation to live out it's days in peace. Killing of an elephant should attract a huge fine and a jail sentence.

The Nigerian park rangers are protecting this endangered species. You can't protect endangered species at a 100% rate. Even South Africa and Kenya has issues with rhino poachers.

Government should look for this guy and prosecute him.

Here's another steel plant in Nigeria. This is operational, recently recommissioned.

Ajaokuta steel needs $500M to become operational. The house of representatives is already working on it. There has been repeated deliberation on it recently.


NATO is not the problem of Ajaokuta. Raising $500M is the problem. It's not a small amount and I'm sure you're not expecting the Chinese to fund it and then it's going to take the government over 10 years to get full control of it back when the Chinese is done making their money from it.


Ajaokuta Steel Project is located on 24,000 hectares of sprawling green-field land-mass. The Steel Plant itself is built on 800-hectares of land. That's some damn big steel plant sha.


We have other steel plants in Nigeria but none has the operational capability of Ajaokuta.




Quick question: how on earth did we get the money to start that company at first? Like was Nigeria damn rich before? Someone please tell me.
