The issue really is a lot of folks can't fathom the excellence and glory being displayed by the Church. They had erroneous beliefs thinking that if it wasn't poor, ugly, cringing and maybe gullible, it shouldn't be righteous or holy. So, when the church displays excellence in it's istration and other aspects of existence, their minds can't accept it.

They prefer to continue with "the as poor as a church rat" or even the "holy people always dress unattractively" mentality. So, they couldn't even imagine church getting rich, talk more of putting in place common sense mechanisms in ensuring it's development. On the other hand, they prefer it that way, so the church can remain ineffective and lose souls that otherwise should be saved. But they haven't seen anything yet. They're still envious of church organisations now. Very soon, they'll start losing sleep over the blessedness and effectiveness of individual believers worldwide.

The above mentioned music reality show currently running on DSTV and GOTV platforms may likely be the "wackiest" (for want of words) music reality show in recent times going by the quality of opinions thus far by the jury, made up of a 3man of Obi Asika; a Record Label Exec, Seyi Shay; a perpetual artiste going by the unpopularity of most, if not all her songs and DJ Sose; who at best is skillful at selecting songs that'll mostly appeal to club audiences.

One would have thought the record label executive in the person of Asika, who ordinarily should have been exposed to artistes of various kinds, will as a father figure, be in full control of the selection process, by way of influencing the opinions of the others even though the antecedents of past judges on the show clearly sets a pace for divergence in opinions that in the end, engenders a robust decision for or against the candidates. This is terribly in deficit this time on the show, as as much as a snarl from the perpetual artiste is enough influence of the opinions of two supposedly mature and independently minded men. Sose even managed to take his obvious lack of knowledge of music and consequently, a lack of sound judgement to annoying levels by always concurring to whatever Seyi Shay breathes, despite his body language telling otherwise.

All of the above is obvious in the audition of the young music producer, whose image you'll find attached to this post. I can bet that IK, the show host was shell shocked that the young man had to be turned down for no reasonable point, except for displaying his musical dexterity. If that's a crime, then pray tell me what Idols is all about?

I was part of the very first Idol show in Nigeria that produced the likes of Timi Dakolo and Omawunmi and what I can clearly is that singing foreign songs or even displaying your vocal dexterity wasn't a crime. If it was compulsory for candidates to do local pangolo songs for the show to be seen as "Nigerian Idol", like Miss Shay foolishly posits, then I dare the show organisers to switch the nomenclature to "Naija Oosa/Ojuju etc" and compel the judges to speak Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo.

Besides, in the first Idol show in Nigeria, the jury made up of seasoned music industry legend like Dede Mabiaku, Radio Joc; Dan Foster and a Ghanian lady popularly referred to as "It's not werking for me" had their independent opinions of the candidates even though one out of the trio always played the devil's advocate.

Question now is; who the hell is the devil's advocate that'll ensure a robust decision making process in the ongoing Idol show, when from all we see, all trio are sleeping with their heads in the same direction??

Reason the current needs to be disbanded, asides the joke Seyi Shay has made of the show by unprofessionally making mockery of young chaps she is meant to encourage, thereby wreaking psychological damages that may be indelible in the lives of the up and coming generation.

PS: I don't know the guy being auditioned in the attached pictures as I am speaking for countless others that are in my opinion, obviously far ahead of the judges musically, but were turned down.

Eventually, it turns out this guy that was dropped and almost insulted during the audition stages of Nigerian Idols by the judges, makes it to the top 6 on The Voice Nigeria.

Isn't that amazing? Moral: Always believe in yourself.

I lost interest and respect for most of the Nigeria pastors, especially David Oyedepo. Check all his antics in the past, he is so arrogant, and he behaves as if he is above the law.

One thing that constantly surprises me is that, once a father becomes the head of the church in Nigeria, God must call his children and wife by default. Go and check where all their children are pastoring, if not a very well established church in a posh zone in Nigeria, it will be in the western world like the US, UK.

Oyedepo should put his son Muyiwa Oyedepo, who he has positioned to take over his church after his demise, in any of these church branches where these pastors were sacked and let us see the magic he will use to pull crowd. So much for God of men parading as men of God.

Was Pastor Adeboye's son that died posted overseas? Stop hasty generalisations.

Mrs. Biola Olatunde, the writer of the popular "I need to know" TV series, which shot Funke Akindele into limelight in the late 90's and early 2000's, has gone to be with the Lord. She died yesterday after a brief illness.

Yesterday, one of Iyke Dee Gee's unique songs, Deff Leopard's "Long, long way to go" snuck into my head. Today, I again and begin searching for the song online. I find the video and memories gush back like a fast flowing river. I type Iyke Dee Gee in Google and I find this thread from 2013, eight years later, of lovers of radio like me, from way back, when radio was radio. Unilag architecture department reverberated with their voices. Voices that not only inspired but were actually radio worthy, not today's folks that can't read common script announcements without blunders.

Payed for a script ad on a radio show in Akure today and the OAP totally messed so many pronounciations up, even after taking it twice.

I miss those good, old folks in Iyke Dee Gee, Dan Foster, Kemi Adesoye, Ebele, Michelle(Ashionye) of CoolFM's Midday Oasis Paula Kanu, Sola Thompson and all others mentioned here. Clear cut accents you can't resist and radio dexterity you would almost think they were singing along with the songs they played.

PS: If you know where Iyke is, please reply. I need to let him know he is one of my radio mentors.

If only Nigerian government have have one third of their wisdom I swear to God Nigeria will be better than Dubai.

I have attended winners chapel service . I haven't heard when they raise offering to fuel pastors private jet. The man has well over 5,000 pastors who receive salaries on the 27rh every month nothing like owing of salary. Their kids go to school free and the pastor's wife all get a bag of rice from their mama. Go to canaanland since it's inception they have had power outage. aren't under pressure to see that papas private jet is in good condition since 1998 he got it. Go check their weekly overhead if God is not with you u go faint. Yet over 40 years of existence the church isn't owing anyone dead or alive.I have attended services there without giving tithes and offerings but God is really blessing him and the man use wisdom.

Pastor Oyakhilome has the inner-city outreach where thousands of homeless children and orphans have received real education.

Pastor paul Eneche is busy commissioning new roads in Abuja up and down.

TB joshua I don't even need to say anything except you are blind. Go listen to how he gave electricity to the northern senatorial district of his state . The governor said it that what government couldn't do TB Joshua did.

Is it Pastor Ibiyeome in PH.Go see the skyscraper building for the aged people and the other school for purely the under privileged. He later a curse on anyone who will bring a well to do child there.

Ordinary minimum wage your government cannot pay. Electricity is rocket science. Security they need to go to havard for special course. Inflation this time has assumed it's highest height. But they can collect offering from VAT, banking USSD, income tax, PAYE, bank transaction more that certain amounts, and loan experts.

I assume you are still a kindergarten in public policy that why or else I would have said you are suffering from mental diarrhea.

May God bless you for this detailed write up. If not for the church, her prayers, works and actions backed by the power of The Holy Spirit, in the Name of Jesus, this nation and I dare say Africa would have been lost. I have said it before and I'll say it again; the most poorly run local branch church of any denomination is better istratively than Nigeria's best government agency or parastatal.

Health wise, isn't it obvious that it's the spiritual restraint of the massive presence of the church that stayed the power of their evil covid from having their predicted outcome in Nigeria? Christ Embassy never put in place any of the protocol, none fell sick there.

Una never see something, the church will continue to spread and march on, una can never do anything about it. There are plenty brick walls, hit your heads on it or take a swim in the ocean.

Nice. But is the deal for just one car alone? Asking because I know a lot of folks will be interested.

I have thought about this concept when considering how long cars stay on display at dealers' lots without being bought, wondering how they cope selling a few cars in a year. This looks like a flexible model that'll become a win-win for dealers and buyers.

There will be some issues at some point when you rush a 10-storey building in less than 2 days.

It's called modular buildings/construction system. Always been in existence, they just took it a notch higher. Lived in one that was shipped to Nigeria from London as a child, though a bungalow. I learnt about it in school again as an architecture student several years ago. It saves time and cost. If we adopt that in Nigeria, we may be able to solve the lingering housing deficit issue.

Who is a sinner?

A sinner is not the Christian that commits sin.

Jesus defines sin, and by extension a sinner.

“of sin, because they do not believe in Me;”
‭‭John‬ ‭16:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

So according to Jesus, a sinner is that man who doesn’t believe in His finished work .

What makes this man a sinner is the sin in him.

The sin in him is the rejection of Christ.

This is the unpardonable sin.

This is the blasphemy of the Holy Ghost.

“Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.”
‭‭John‬ ‭9:41‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The status of the Christian is not in works but faith in the finished work.

“So from now on we regard no one from a human point of view [according to worldly standards and values]. Though we have known Christ from a human point of view, now we no longer know Him in this way.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:16‬ ‭AMP‬‬

God bless.

I wanted to write until I saw yours. You hit the nail and your post should have exposed those arguing to how things really work in the Kingdom.

However, I was wondering if really it could be possible that there are folks in a "Deeper" congregation, who wouldn't have accepted Jesus, as to be tagged as "living in sin"? That'd really be a terrible case oo. What then are you doing with all those physical denials and restrictions if you haven't yet confessed Jesus?

Believing in your heart and confessing The Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord is the single most important thing everyone must do. Isn't that why we are called believers in the first instance? The believing and the confession, absolutely important.

Romans 10

[10] For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation.

All other things revolve around the above.

Grace and peace to you.

Congratulations to the Newly Weds. God bless your home.

The Word of God is forever true. So, it's very true that "He who finds a wife, finds a good thing".

I and so many folks I know are living witnesses. I am enjoying my marriage men and even the devil knows he can do nadda.

The issue really is folks wanting to do God's things, the opposite of God's way. Marriage is an institution created by God. You gotta do it His way, else.

You are still using biblical characters, olodo, say something apart from what your pastors have filled your brain with. Prove to me that the Isreal slave story is real. Archeological evidence, historical footnotes etc...zombie grin

All you did was mention names of old Egyptian rulers, as named and stated in the bible. Prove to me, in front of millions of nairalanders.

Oponu ayeraiye leleyi. Your case is so pathetic, simply because you don't know that you don't know and dumbly acknowledge it. I challenge you to quote the version of the Bible that mentioned "Rameses" or his regent son Merneptah. If you can't, then shame on you olodo rabata, descendant of a viper. Egyptian history is older than the new edition bible, common sense will tell you that they will use real names of past Egyptian rulers in the story...like I said again, give me empirical fact that the Isrealis were slaves of Egyptians, you still have not done that. People that edited these books are smarter than you.

You're bringing this dumb reasoning again even after seeing historical facts not gleaned from the bible or did you ever read any version of the bible that stated things the way I put it up there. If telling you about the Pharaoh that lived when Joseph was in Egypt and the one that ruled during Moses isn't enough to establish that the Bible was correct about Israelites living and serving in Egypt, then no further education will. You obviously don't know how to make an inference.

Which empirical facts...you said nothing...which empirical facts...am waiting undecided

Let me help you again with some history.

Joseph dealt with the great Rameses II when he was a young man. This pharaoh had a remarkably long reign, and was still alive when Moses was born. But by this time the old man was senile, so his son Merneptah was serving as regent. It was this Merneptah who persecuted the Israelites.

When Moses returned from his exile, the pharaoh he dealt with was Rameses III, the grandson of Rameses II.

Egyptians recognise the Pharaohs mentioned above.

When you choose not to ask dumb questions, you will get some good answers.

The postulation is about the nature of the artisans/workers, the findings discovered that the workers/artisans that build the pyramids, were paid workers not slaves. So the whole Isreal slave story is a myth.

Am writing it for millions of other nairalanders, and to show your fallacy and expose your foolishness. You are a zombie, a lost cause...pawn.

Egyptian mummies have nothing to do with the Isreal supposed slaves. Modern archeologist now say, due to the technicality of the job carried out on the building of the pyramids and other wonders of Egyptian architecture and monument, they are postulating that most of the builders are paid workers, not slaves...of course they have slaves for domestic work and farming, but no evidence that these were exclusively jews undecided
You are the foolish one, believing everything you read and hear. Like I said earlier to be Religious means removing common sense/reason. It is religion, Egyptian state does not have to give an official statement, no one is asking them for reparations, or compensation or apologies, like was forced to pay billions in reparations after the second world war.

The noise of your ignorance is getting so loud. Look at your own words...modern, archealogists, postulating, not exclusively... Doesn't that tell you something at least? If there wasn't something in history, will they be postulating and considering if something was exclusively or not Jews? I see why your search has yielded no result. Its been dumb all the way.
