The issue really is a lot of folks can't fathom the excellence and glory being displayed by the Church. They had erroneous beliefs thinking that if it wasn't poor, ugly, cringing and maybe gullible, it shouldn't be righteous or holy. So, when the church displays excellence in it's istration and other aspects of existence, their minds can't accept it. They prefer to continue with "the as poor as a church rat" or even the "holy people always dress unattractively" mentality. So, they couldn't even imagine church getting rich, talk more of putting in place common sense mechanisms in ensuring it's development. On the other hand, they prefer it that way, so the church can remain ineffective and lose souls that otherwise should be saved. But they haven't seen anything yet. They're still envious of church organisations now. Very soon, they'll start losing sleep over the blessedness and effectiveness of individual believers worldwide. 1 Like |

Mrs. Biola Olatunde, the writer of the popular "I need to know" TV series, which shot Funke Akindele into limelight in the late 90's and early 2000's, has gone to be with the Lord. Yesterday, one of Iyke Dee Gee's unique songs, Deff Leopard's "Long, long way to go" snuck into my head. Today, I again and begin searching for the song online. I find the video and memories gush back like a fast flowing river. I type Iyke Dee Gee in Google and I find this thread from 2013, eight years later, of lovers of radio like me, from way back, when radio was radio. Unilag architecture department reverberated with their voices. Voices that not only inspired but were actually radio worthy, not today's folks that can't read common script announcements without blunders. Payed for a script ad on a radio show in Akure today and the OAP totally messed so many pronounciations up, even after taking it twice. I miss those good, old folks in Iyke Dee Gee, Dan Foster, Kemi Adesoye, Ebele, Michelle(Ashionye) of CoolFM's Midday Oasis Paula Kanu, Sola Thompson and all others mentioned here. Clear cut accents you can't resist and radio dexterity you would almost think they were singing along with the songs they played. PS: If you know where Iyke is, please reply. I need to let him know he is one of my radio mentors. |

geewean: May God bless you for this detailed write up. If not for the church, her prayers, works and actions backed by the power of The Holy Spirit, in the Name of Jesus, this nation and I dare say Africa would have been lost. I have said it before and I'll say it again; the most poorly run local branch church of any denomination is better istratively than Nigeria's best government agency or parastatal. Health wise, isn't it obvious that it's the spiritual restraint of the massive presence of the church that stayed the power of their evil covid from having their predicted outcome in Nigeria? Christ Embassy never put in place any of the protocol, none fell sick there. Una never see something, the church will continue to spread and march on, una can never do anything about it. There are plenty brick walls, hit your heads on it or take a swim in the ocean. |

Nice. But is the deal for just one car alone? Asking because I know a lot of folks will be interested. I have thought about this concept when considering how long cars stay on display at dealers' lots without being bought, wondering how they cope selling a few cars in a year. This looks like a flexible model that'll become a win-win for dealers and buyers. |

COSGABAT2023: It's called modular buildings/construction system. Always been in existence, they just took it a notch higher. Lived in one that was shipped to Nigeria from London as a child, though a bungalow. I learnt about it in school again as an architecture student several years ago. It saves time and cost. If we adopt that in Nigeria, we may be able to solve the lingering housing deficit issue. 1 Like |

madegreatbygrace: I wanted to write until I saw yours. You hit the nail and your post should have exposed those arguing to how things really work in the Kingdom. However, I was wondering if really it could be possible that there are folks in a "Deeper" congregation, who wouldn't have accepted Jesus, as to be tagged as "living in sin"? That'd really be a terrible case oo. What then are you doing with all those physical denials and restrictions if you haven't yet confessed Jesus? Believing in your heart and confessing The Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord is the single most important thing everyone must do. Isn't that why we are called believers in the first instance? The believing and the confession, absolutely important. Romans 10 [10] For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation. All other things revolve around the above. Grace and peace to you. 2 Likes |

Congratulations to the Newly Weds. God bless your home. The Word of God is forever true. So, it's very true that "He who finds a wife, finds a good thing". I and so many folks I know are living witnesses. I am enjoying my marriage men and even the devil knows he can do nadda. The issue really is folks wanting to do God's things, the opposite of God's way. Marriage is an institution created by God. You gotta do it His way, else. 2 Likes |

The Word of God is powerful, sharper than any two edged sword. 1700 years later....phew, that's a lot, but God's Word did what He said He would do. So glad to be filled with the Fullness of God, The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. So assured the rest of His Word about these times we're in will definitely come to . The handwritings are clearly on the wall now. Let him that has an ear, hear. #GET BORN AGAIN. #GET PREPARED.

dederocs: Oponu ayeraiye leleyi. Your case is so pathetic, simply because you don't know that you don't know and dumbly acknowledge it. I challenge you to quote the version of the Bible that mentioned "Rameses" or his regent son Merneptah. If you can't, then shame on you olodo rabata, descendant of a viper. Now, its clear to millions of nairalanders why your olodo questions will forever remain unanswered. |

dederocs: You're bringing this dumb reasoning again even after seeing historical facts not gleaned from the bible or did you ever read any version of the bible that stated things the way I put it up there. If telling you about the Pharaoh that lived when Joseph was in Egypt and the one that ruled during Moses isn't enough to establish that the Bible was correct about Israelites living and serving in Egypt, then no further education will. You obviously don't know how to make an inference. 1 Like 1 Share |

dederocs: Let me help you again with some history. Joseph dealt with the great Rameses II when he was a young man. This pharaoh had a remarkably long reign, and was still alive when Moses was born. But by this time the old man was senile, so his son Merneptah was serving as regent. It was this Merneptah who persecuted the Israelites. When Moses returned from his exile, the pharaoh he dealt with was Rameses III, the grandson of Rameses II. Egyptians recognise the Pharaohs mentioned above. When you choose not to ask dumb questions, you will get some good answers. |

Yet, you are choosing to hang your low life on uncertain theories analysing established history. You're indeed an ojojo high school material. |

dederocs: The noise of your ignorance is getting so loud. Look at your own words...modern, archealogists, postulating, not exclusively... Doesn't that tell you something at least? If there wasn't something in history, will they be postulating and considering if something was exclusively or not Jews? I see why your search has yielded no result. Its been dumb all the way. |
