I don't... I've only heard about it, but I've never followed the whole banter.... If you pay attention, I try to avoid banters even on this forum.

There are some sections that I also try to desist from participating in because I know your people will always see a reason to use my nationality against me simply because I'm a South African and they see anything that has to do with SA as a competition even when I comment with good intentions.

That's why I'm mostly only active on family and romance sections.
yeah lately i see you don't when those naughty cunts from nationality starts going berzerk and then i notice again, you get on sicko mode when it's comes to me .. you seem like you'd rather squabble with me than anyone else ...

You mean the food section I mentioned you in??

Nope . They seem civil down there and most of the poster there are diasporans.. I'm dead sure they'd appreciate a south African exposing them to south African meals ..

Come to think of it.. romance section after politics section is the worst place to be in NL .. if you notice, there are very few females showing up here unlike the diary and food section... You're just just being lucky these romance guys do not have on their head, they'd be chewing you alive already ...

We don't consume something that is used to make our clothes... Why do I get a feeling that Sepedi native attires wouldn't be safe in your hands?πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”

It's like if someone leaves you with their native attires, they'll come back only to find them turned into pepper soup...🀦🀦🀦

Funny ..

It needs to go undergo some certain process for it to be leather.. Since the process can't be reversed, your sepedi cloths are safe around me πŸ₯΄πŸ₯΄

Btw though, I think the synthetic ones are the ones used in making cloths .

Tell me you're not salivating already 😌😌😌

I learnt to cook because it's a necessity and a skill that everyone should have.

I didn't do it to create any awareness... At the end of the day, food is just food, nothing special.

And no offence, but I find the whole jollof wars between Nigeria and Ghana to be very childish.
uggghπŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’

Yes yes yes ...

Food is just food .. like I said , I was hoping to see how much of a good cook you're 🀭🀭 ..

Is it πŸ₯΄πŸ₯΄

The thing is Ghana claims to be the first to come up with that style of making rice was what brought about the whole craze of jollof to the Internet and started the war ...

They literally came to Nigeria, understudy the food, modified it and want to start laying claims to it....

Wouldnt you like to create awareness for the south African traditional foods like we do to our golden jollof rice ..

This your statement made me confuse the more!
urinary tract infection.

It means an infected bladder/urethra/kidney/prostrate but mostly bladder and urethra .

It gives burning sensation while urinating, frequnt urination and some other symptoms but no penile discharge or pus like in gonorrhea..

How was I lazy when we had a maid? I mean if you don't want to do those chores, you can leave them for the maid to do them even though you might still get into trouble when the parents get home...grin grin grin

Unless if you turn all the chores on me during the weekend when the maid is off duty... But chances are my mother would be around to do her wifely duties on weekends.

Oh , you guys got a house help .....

I see ...

Now this changes things..

But doesn't changes that fact you used to be a lazy girl πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

But still , you dey enjoy oo...

I'm glad you can cook now tho... You should just add cook jollof rice to your list of culinary skills, might come in handy some day 😊😊

There are some families who teach their children how to cook from a young age, my nephew and niece who are 15 years old already can cook because my sisters taught them as soon as they became teenagers.

My mother also taught my siblings how to cook from when they were still young, but as time went by, her workload increased and she started having less time to do the things she used to do before... Me being the youngest, I got left out.

I'm just lucky to be having understanding parents...πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

You're the last born right??

Only last borns would get away with stuff like this.. you must've been last born(baby of the house) hence your parents being so understanding πŸ₯΄πŸ₯΄πŸ₯΄ ..

You're not just lucky for having an understanding parents , you were also lucky to have an understanding siblings .. They should basically have turn all the whole chores on you especially when Mommy and daddy is not around . i know I would .. Have me as an older siblings, you'd suffer from doing chores . Hahahahaha .. lazy girl 😊

My mother wasn't cooking specifically for me, but for the entire family which also included her husband.

And also she mostly only cooked on weekends, unless she had some time during the week... My father is also a good cook and he's not the type of a man that would sit around and wait for someone to come and cook for him when he's alone in the house.

Keep in mind that I was doing other house chores like cleaning, the laundry, and washing the dishes... But on weekends, even though sometimes I'd do the dishes even during weekdays...πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

No one made fun of me for buying takeaways, like I said, I wasn't the only one who couldn't cook in my place of residence and it was a girls' only residence... Besides, I was buying those takeaways with my own money and I wasn't bothering anyone about it... My mother was the one who kept convincing me to learn to cook because I was wasting money on takeaways.

I'd buy foodstuffs and store them in the fridge for so long that they'd even spoil and I'd have to throw them away... If I'm lazy to go out and buy myself something to eat, I'd either eat cereal, instant noodles, or sandwich either for lunch or dinner...πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I've never checked how to cook jollof rice before, it never crossed my mind.
yup, I understand she isn't cooking for you specifically ... In Nigerian set up she wouldn't do the cooking either for her husband or anything when she has you around ..you'd be sharing the kitchen with her which might eventually become yours until some man comes for you or you're away to school or something ...

Hehehehe, you do dishes... 😁😁😁 .. that sounds like some damage control to me ... You should be doing all chores πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ ...

You must've been a tad bit lazy back then .. πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

I do like your family setup.. Sounds like some modern family type thing...

But fr .. you dey enjoy no be small oo ..

In the beginning, I used to rely on YouTube and recipe books, I'd also call my sisters for instructions and they were very much helpful and didn't make fun of me like my mother would... But I can say that I spent about 70% of my first year surviving on takeaways...πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

Even now I still rely on YouTube whenever I want to learn a new recipe... In 2023 I learnt how to make an apple pie and pizza, all thanks to YouTube...πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ

I can now cook both western and traditional food perfectly...πŸ‘ŒπŸ½πŸ‘ŒπŸ½πŸ‘ŒπŸ½

Before varsity, there was always someone to cook around the house and I spent most of my time at school, by the time I get home, it'd be around 5pm, I need to rest and do my homework afterwards, then go to bed at around 8pm or 8h30pm... During the weekends my mom was usually around the house and she'd be the one cooking because she still had a husband to cook for, and she can't cook for the husband without including the children... I'd usually do other house chores around the house while she's cooking.

But I have to it, I never bothered paying attention to her whenever she was cooking, I had to learn the hard way... grin grin grin

Woah .. you had your mum cooking for you..

You're lucky you're not Nigerian, that would've never happened except you've got cooks or a younger siblings ...

By the age of 10, a Nigerian mum already received requires you to understudy her preparing every meal there is .. by the time you're a teenager, a Nigerian mum es the baton of the cook of the house to you and there is never ever going to be an excuse for you to miss a day of doing that. Not being exhausted from school activity and whatnots ..

Omoh una dey enjoy oo..

You spent 70% of your year on takeouts being female πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ .. I can't imagine how frequently you must've been mocked for that πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚esp if you had room mates and other female friends..

Lol . I knew YouTube would still be your go to platform to help out with cooking . Talking bout learning new recipes.. something tells me you've checked on how to cook jollof rice multiple times πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ and my gut feelings is always right... πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹
