Do not open the battery!!!.....it is not a wise thing to do since there's a dispute, if you open it, you've faulted!...find a way to get evidence that the battery isn't what you paid for....report to gistlover, there are s on X that helps with such issues, make research and tag them...go on Facebook and report to blogs...

@redgem, what's your experience with the Cworth 24v100ah battery ?

It gets to 28.2v then drops immediately to 27v (according to someone here, that's the floating charge).... When it stops charging at about 18:30 within an hour it drops to 26.1v (but it will be on 26.1v for 4hrs with 2tv's, soundbar, 2 laptops, humidifier and few light points on) shut down all appliances by 00:00 with just a light point on and in the morning it's on 25.5v.... If pes is on then 25.7v when turned off by 00:00...

I complained to them that it was discharging but they said it's normal and battery is fine...

In all, no other complain, been managing it judiciously...

There are several fake mc connectors and dc fuse/breakers. That being said, there are better guaranteed ways of twisting wires after which one now make use of connectors with screws for maximum firmness. Then Wrap tightly with insulation tape. One person's error shouldn't be generalized though. However, If you have access to all shapes of original connectors, no qualms.

I experienced the same thing in the Tokunbo s i bought after two years and one got burnt out. After that i had to change the entire s to tier 1 s.

what might caused this are;

1. when you do not use MC4 connectors but rather cut the wires and do the connection thereby creating more resistance for the flow of current.

2. directly placing the s on the roof without allowing for air flow underneath the s.

3. using wrong gauges of dc wiring.

I will advice you to replace that with a new one

My installer did no 1....I hope I won't have same issue? How will I know the s are okay up there and no burns?
