Do you know that each time I called her out before l gave her the little token last Saturday, she always obliged. We were seeing and chatting, she even invited me to their church program which I attended in order to see her last Thursday. While the program was going on, she came to where I was sitting at the back to greet me and to thank me for coming. I can assure you that if I call her out again and pretend as though nothing happened, she will still come out. I know why I used the word entitlement please
Bro chop this L with grace and move on.
I know say the thing dey pain, but hopefully you learn a lesson from it and become better because e be like say the way you dey talk so na a tenth of your life savings you spend on top on her head.
One rule of thumb you must learn with women is "be stingy" (guard your resources with your life) or even if you must spend, it must be infinitesimal (a negligible fraction of your income). That way even if she is not interested, you can easily move on.
The floodgates of your pockets should only be opened when you're sure beyond doubt that she is willing to walk on fire for you.

Dude ....she's not into you...it was obvious even before u gave her money.... the 2500 was small to her and perhaps not worth saying thank you..... B4 u start spending money on a woman...try and see signs she genuinely likes u...
.. spending wont make a woman like u...it will only open u to more exploitation...and they will later tell u they ddnt force u to give them
The bolded is one single basic fact a lot Nigerian men fail to understand.
You see a woman you're interested in and you start throwing money at her without checking if the feeling is mutual?
Beats me!
Ndi providers taking that title so literal.

Late last year, the company I worked with decided to reduce workers as a result of the high inflation. I happened to be one of the victims of the mass reduction.
I decided to use my little savings to buy a tricycle so I can be using it to do town service but my fiancee outrightly rejected such idea stressing that my societal standing is above that. After intense argument I went ahead and bought the tricycle. Since that day she has not picked my calls, call me or come to visit me.
I have moved on.
Very important.

This aside.
I am having this feeling that even if all countries are to start afresh again, Africa will still remain backward.
It is just as if we derive joy seeing our people suffering.
I had a stopover at Kinshasa, Congo DRC 4 days back and I couldn't shed tears.
This is the second biggest country in Africa and richest country in Africa resource wise, half population of Nigeria 100m and more than twice land mass of Nigeria.
Good agricultural landmass without deserts etc yet ranks among the poorest in the world.
There international airport can't even compete with Calabar airport, not as busy as PH airport despite been international and wide spread poverty.
They have oil, diamonds etc yet extremely poor.
Does it mean African leaders derive joy seeing their own people poor?
Is this caused by US too? And it's institutions like WTO, WB, UN etc?
Why are we like this? How can someone be sooooo wicked that they are not even wise enough to build a standard airport and make their capital beautiful because these are the 2 main things a stranger will see to summarize the country.
I don't need to go around Nigeria but he 2 most important things strangers coming to Nigeria will see are the airport and country's capital.
So why DR congo is so unconcerned about this and looting with impunity amazes me
Africa's problem or the black man I would say is not lack of intelligence or lack of the ability to create. Reason being because there are so many societies today that are not known for creativity or inventions but they've successfully able to copy and replicate it to their countries: UAE, Malaysia, Singapore and the likes.
Selfishness!
It all comes down to selfishness. Will elaborate more on this.

This is a mistake most make. I understand hypergamy is an issue, but consider that for a young man to leave Nigeria, get itted into a good university on his merit aka legal migration, get some form of scholarship, study a relevant course, try as much as possible to learn the language etc. It means he has good heads over his shoulders. Such a person is responsible to a great extent and quite ambitious. It is not like he got there illegally or was caught for nefarious purposes. But hypergamy and fear of the unknown no go gree. Beecause truth is; these young men notice these things and decides to mix up with other nationals esp if there is a significant black population.
The situation is quite different if the lady has permanent residence or is older than the guy.
It's not being responsible or ambitious that will settle the bills or give them soft life Oga Gerrard59.

Lol true. And in addition to that, sounds like he wants women to change. Like really?
They should change 10000 years biological make up and societal conditioning? It's a waste of time if you ask me. Fool's errand! Which is why I tell young men to understand how/what women think and want and add it to themselves or at least fake and them go enjoy tire. Irks me when I see young men complain about natural women behaviour.
Good thing that he at least made it in life and can enjoy the spoils (don't know if to put it that way).
Some got rejected, still hustling it to make it and kpai in the process. What do we say about those now? This life ehn is just one big son of a bitch. Lol!

Nairaland judgiana, please stay off my private matters and how I treat it. My man is not complaining and he cares less what you
people with your Nigerian mentality think about bringing my affairs to an anonymous forum. Besides I had his approval before making our matter "public" because if things go well, it's going to be public eventually. We are not into a "hide and seek" affair or ashamed of what we both have and share with each other.

My suspicion is that this guy has paper or residence permit: reason he is able to fleet his victims.
Nigerian ladies (born and bred) I know would never date this guy talkless of lending him 20000Β£ if not for the above reasons.
I might be wrong though.

Shame catch me when I go Nigeria last December. Went through Qatar airport and got to MMIA, I was ashamed
We have a long way to go and we won't get there in the next 50 years unless something drastic happens
Β£1 = 1055 now Btw
That MMIA is just another Nigerian disgrace in a class of its own.
Been opportune to be at Qatar Airport, Shenzhen Baon, Heathrow and KLIA: mega-sized airport projects, large, mini-cities, sophisticated hubs with rail/bus transport links connected to their respective cities.
Comparing these to MMIA leaves you shedding tears.π

My little advise, proceed to the Uk. You have more opportunities there in IT, Poland wages are very low because I keep seeing people from Poland move into for better jobs in IT. You will rarely see someone moving from Uk to because of wages, their earnings are very similar.
The Pound Sterling is currently valued at 700 Naira to 1 Pound, before that God-forsaken Buhari leaves, It will be 1000 Naira to 1 Pound in 2023 which is 2 years from now.
Go and spend that 8Million, you won't regret.
Why is it that every bad prediction about Nigeria comes to ?
Turns out this guy (which by the way was Truthsayer009) was absolutely spot on about about the bolded as the pound is even pushing above 1000 naira now.
Pretty sure that the dude that was in a dilemma about moving would be thanking his stars now.

My issue is that he went to go do a postgraduate program that is irrelevant. If he had done his Msc. in Psychology, I am very certain that by now, he would have gotten FREE 5 years skilled worker visa for him and his family, working for the NHS as an assistant psychologist which is a 9 to 5 job, Mon -Fri and he can do extra job of no less than 20hrs a week over the weekend which should earn him an lextra Β£250 every weekend while madam who is pregnant will be doing a remote job of working from home as a customer service agent that pays about Β£11 per hour.
He miscalculated.
Not as straightforward as you seem to put it: experience, other certifications, interview skills of the candidate still comes into play. I'm saying this because I know someone that studied psychology and is finding it hard to lock down a psychology role at NHS. Individual circumstances matter too.

But it's not as if someone didn't foresee all these. Once the UK began nursing the idea of exiting the European Union, I set off an alarm bell warning Africans right here on Nairaland on what to expect. And that's exactly what's happening in the UK today.

Dear Sir, I have a relative that migrated to the UK in the past 1 year. Already employed, paying their own bills and sending money home to their parents. How many 24 year olds are achieving that in Nigeria right now?
I keep asking myself why people have to put out blatant LIES like this on a message board. You do realize that REAL PEOPLE travel to the UK and they can compare it with Nigeria?
Good Luck to Nigeria
Bro I don tire.
The witchcraft on this UK matter is second to none.
Too many lies flying up and down like nylon in a rainy wind.
These days I don't even advise folks to Japa any more due to their lack of mental adjustment, desire for short-termism gains, refusal to upskill amongst many other things.
