Search for the registrars of the various companies and fill their Dividend Mandate form.

Alternatively, fill the NIBSS form.

Yes I don't understand why these platforms suddenly develop this wahala

For United securities, it is MTN and Airtel that are bounced; you need to use other network providers

You can use free VPNs to by these network restrictions.

Fidelity should pay the court judgement, collect the proper rent from GCapper from the day of foreclosure, to reduce their loss. Thereafter throw GCapper out of the building and hand
it over to the buyer

Is it not simple?

How credit worthy are the debtors and how willing will they be to pay the accrued rent, given their precedence?

Has the court finally issued the eviction mandate?

Some of these legal fights and uncertainties make investment in that sector (real estate) very stressful. Imagine tying one's capital down on a disputed property and still be paying legal fees on top. Plus possible judgments against you in the future as is the case of Fidelity.

The Fidelity Bank Palava:
1. Parties Involved:
☞ Fidelity Bank (absorbed FSB International Bank in 2005)
☞ G. Cappa
☞ Sagecom Concepts

2. What Went Wrong?
☞ G. Cappa borrowed money from FSB International Bank but defaulted. The loan was backed by a property in Ikoyi.

3. What FSB Did
☞ FSB sold the property to Sagecom Concepts after winning a legal dispute allowing the sale, but the Federal High Court did not order G. Cappa to vacate. Instead, the court referred the matter of eviction to the Lagos State High Court. G. Cappa continued occupying the property.

4. The Legal Battle
☞ Sagecom Concepts sued Fidelity Bank (FSB’s successor) over possession of the property. In 2018, the Lagos State High Court ruled in favor of Sagecom. Fidelity Bank challenged this at the Supreme Court.

5. Settlement Issues
Fidelity Bank now agrees to settle Sagecom, but confusion exists over how much Fidelity should pay, due to currency valuation differences:
2005 exchange rate: $130 million = ₦14 billion.
2018 exchange rate (when the trial began): ₦31 billion.
Current exchange rate (~₦1,600/$): ₦220 billion+ (not applicable according to Fidelity Bank)
.

6. Current Situation:
Based on legal precedent, Fidelity Bank argues that the 2018 rate (₦31bn) is appropriate. The bank has requested that the court clarify the exact applicable amount. The issue remains in court.

7. Fidelity Bank’s numbers (FY 2024)
☞ Total Assets: ₦8.8 trillion
☞ Cash Position: ₦700 billion+
☞ Net Assets: ₦793 billion
☞ Gross Earnings: ₦1.1 trillion
☞ Profit After Tax: ₦278 billion

culled from another platform

So Fidelity sold a property to a firm and court was pending the vacation of the occupiers.

The buyer sues Fidelity.

Court rules in favour of the buyer.

QUESTIONS

1. What delayed the issuance of an order to vacate by the court?
2. If ruling is yet to be made while the matter is still in court, are the buyers allowed to sue?

I am totally in of the buyers here. I cannot buy your property and still be waiting to possess it for apparently indefinite period.

There were other ive observations to the call. For example, it was still within the resistance level in the previous close but has now closed above the resistance level as well as above the cloud.

The resistance is around 687?

Technically, the index just broke above the Ichimoku cloud on the daily. I expect decent gains in the short term

Why did you take note of today it completely traded above the cloud, when yesterday, it closed above it too?

It might be a warning sign. I earlier this year someone told me that with the rates being offered and the numbers being subscribed, Nigeria has a huge chance of default in settlement of maturing Tbills and bonds.
Last year they paid almost 6 Trillion to banks alone apart from local and foreign investors https://nairametrics.com/2025/04/28/nigerian-banks-earn-n5-93-trillion-from-investing-in-treasury-bills-omo-bills-others-in-2024/
Just 8 banks have N41.7trillion investments in government securities https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/access-zenith-six-other-banks-grow-investment-securities-to-n41-7tn/%3famp
How do they want to settle all these?

No wonder the subscription level for these securities are reducing.

I think the dwindling subscription is because the rates have also started coming down.

As for defaulting, it is still inconceivable they would default on local-currency-denominated security like TBs and FGNSBs. They will just print more money.

Yes ooo. No government investment proceed is paid at maturity anymore. The worst of them all is that FGN Savings Bonds. Imagine they've not deem it fit to pay customers for the coupon due on the 15th of this month yet today is 19th.

Got mine today; almost the time I made that post. I think it's for May 2026.

You can say it again, fixed income has turned to variable income.

All my FGNSB monthly coupons started getting taxed a few months ago. I thought the one time was an anomaly and ignored, also the second, third... Alas, it's been normalized, quietly. cheesy

I think taxing is not bad, especially if they are channeling it in the right places. But one of the fundamental characteristics of taxation is transparency. There was no info, no notification, nothing.
NSEstudent: 1:48pm On May 19
In somewhat unrelated news, not only has the FG normalized not paying coupons on the exact maturity dates, they have quietly normalized collecting taxes on previously tax-exempt securities.

@Loco have read your post and comments from others, and sincerely, it's my first time to know about the restriction. Perhaps the clients I introduced have not placed such a single trade.

However, I ed one of the management on the matter, and was told that it was placed on all customers' s as a measure to safeguard their s based on some ugly experiences that they had with some s. SEC is aware, too.

It was also clearly stated that any client/customer who wants to place a single trade of such amount is free to do so after instructing that his/her should be expanded without any restriction.

So if you wish or know that in the course of your trade, you can place such a quantity or more on a single trade, you are free to do so.

On the issue of commission, it's very flexible. It depends on the amount involved. As we speak, there are customers for whom negotiation of less than 1% commission is used. It all depends on your volume. Commission can always be negotiated.

Please note that Ione is there for you and promises good and excellent service always, and your patronage is appreciated anytime.

Thank you.

i followed all the due process with morgan capital to claim my Zenith dividend but veritas kept frustrating the process. I sold all my stocks in their and ignored the unclaimed dividend. Any stock in veritas is a no for me-they can cause volatility in your blood pressure!

I did not have all these issues with Veritas. I just visited Zenith bank, got the form, filled and submitted to them.
I used Zenith bank , thus I am among the first to be paid each time.

My younger sister did the same but didn't get for two years until this year when I returned and asked her to repeat the same process, fill the one on NIBSS portal and also send Veritas a filled and signed E-mandate form via email. One of these processes apparently worked because, without doing anything else, she received this year's and previous years' payments.

Like I said, I have banked with them 18yrs. Nothing of such happened in those years. Other banks had similar software upgrade issues same period although theirs was worse. So a glitch that lasted less that 3months or under 6months isn't enough to close an for me. Not speaking to the issue at hand with VDM and his mother.

Fair enough.

I would however assume you have other bank s. If not, 3 to 6 months of such problems is going to be disastrous.

During those periods of bank software issues, banks like Stanbic and nearly all the PSBs and MFBs were working well.

As for VDM and co, I don't wade in cheesy

Might be unrelated but does it mean you're encouraging mediocrity and corporate 'anyhowness'? If not, of what use is the if, using your own words, transactions are made impossible?

Spot on! Tizeti has competitive price. However, they need to do better on their services. Downtime happens too often.

That's the problem. I had to opt for MTN and Airtel unlimited Broadband bundles instead of these makeshift also-rans. I have tried a handful of them.

Never heard of them.

I assume they will be covering just a few cities currently (if not only Abuja and Lagos).

Apparently they intend to use NGX money for expansion.

Not bad but their predecessors like Tizeti are still offering below par services despite being around for years.

These people i mentioned and their likes have been able to make a difference in the world and global scene.
