all the above countries profit from oil but also make sure that their citizen directly profit from the oil too (with cheap gas at the pump). only in Nigeria, the leaders are directly hijacking the oil market to directly profiting from oil sale, and the citizens are the ones crying because of high prices at the pump. even if the price of crude is $1m per barrel, it should always be cheap in Nigeria, the price of crude oil abroad should be irrelevant to Nigerians and the price at the pump.

Oando plc (who is owned by Tinubu's family member) is directly profiting from gaining ownership of something that normally belong to ALL NIgerians. oil blocks that should belong to Nigeria and its citizen (after the gov settled the lawsuit with Eni etc) is instead given to Oando plc to profit from it, so that Tinubu's family can profit from Nigeria in the next 100+ years.

these countries have 2 main points:
A) they understand that the petrol in their soil belongs to the people and therefore the citizen shouldnt pay outrageous prices for gas (even though crude is refined in gov's refineries). so local gas cost nothing in local pumps while anything the export is sold at the global market price. so the gov make absolutely NO MONEY from local gas pumps.
B) the gov refineries make profit from what they sell to the global market, which helps offset the loss of refining for the locals market for free etc

PERFECT SETUP!!!

the whole issue here is that Nigeria has borrowed so much money upon future crude output AND/OR the leaders are so useless (as well as too greedy) that they cant have a gov refinery to serve the people.. and they rather make yeye deal not beneficial to Nigeria/Nigerians and use some foreign refineries so that they can use middle men/companies to enrich their own selves.

BTW one problem with such countries on that list with cheap oil is that neighboring countries with higher gas price will come and get their gas from your country and thus profit from what ONLY the local should profit. same as Togo/Benin getting gas from Nigeria off the black market.

NNPC will buy at that price and sell to the public.
And if other buyers can also buy directly from Dangote, as the NNPC has now said, then no one can blame NNPC for pricing.

so again, you have to look at whats the best economic move for Nigerians here and ask the important question: IS RUNNING A GENERATOR TO CHARGE A CAR or EVEN PAYING YOUR ELECTRIC BILL TO FAST CHARGE YOUR CAR (if there was constant electricity) CHEAPER THAN RUNNING A NORMAL CAR?
