You never know. Having that name will help anywhere at this time.

I am not disputing that the name could be of positive influence sometimes, but at least the President of Angola cannot be accused of favouring his nephew (family member) in this award unlike what some people said with the ENI deal.

Thanks for this news.

Hopefully and thankfully , the clueless Tinubu is not the president of Angola, otherwise we for no hear word because of noise of favouritism!

Not bad considering that crude price has gone up after the last petrol price reduction.
This is reason why NNPC should let us know how they are selling the crude to Dangote in naira!

This is what happens when you adopt ''rush rush'' approach to major projects.
Does it mean there was no scrutiny of the budget proposals at the Works Ministry before it was forwarded to the Finance Ministry, then to FEC?

any news about the court case going between oando and those people whose shares were ceased and was to be distributed

Kindly assist me. Where/when was it reported that Oando and owners of the shares to be redistributed are in court?

I did not see or read such info in Oando's response to the letter by some shareholders asking for details of the share redistribution exercise

Oando responded
This response from Oando does not answer the question about how much was paid to the musicians (Wizkid, Davido, Burna, etc) for the so called Xmas party.
I wish the lawyers can resubmit another letter asking for specific response to the party expenses.
For me, the positives in Oando's response are the confirmation that a letter to discontinue the buy-out offer has been submitted to NGX, and the share redistribution exercise.

Wale Tinubu’s Bold Path for Oando

https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2025/01/13/wale-tinubus-bold-path-for-oando/?amp

This is just noise without substance. Why this media hype again, at this point when all that matters to shareholders is the share redistribution exercise that is yet to happen?
It is also misleading to say Oando is 30 years old. Oando took over from Unipetrol , which started business in the 1950s (if I am not mistaken), therefore Oando cannot be only 30years old. It is rather Wale's Ocean and Oil that is 30 years old.
This is one of the issues raised in the letter to NGX/SEC by some aggrieved shareholders.

The Court of Appeal in Abuja has ordered a fresh hearing in the legal battle over the disputed Kano Emirate involving Alhaji Nasir Ado Bayero.

https://dailypost.ng/2025/01/10/appeal-court-orders-fresh-hearing-into-kano-emirate-tussle-as-sanusi-wins/

This is an opportunity ex-Emir Ado Bayero to be deposed finally.
The Kano State Judiciary and House of Assembly will now grant him full fair hearing, and the case will still be decided in favour of Emir Sanusi at the end, thereby putting the case to rest finally.
Determination of Emirate matters rests solely with the state government and state judiciary, that is why the Federal High Court cannot do anything about it,

CBN secures N1.47 trillion in subs for 364-day Treasury Bills at 22.6% stop rate
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), on behalf of the Debt Management Office (DMO), has revealed a 283.42% oversubscription worth N1.47 trillion for the 364-day Treasury Bills at the auction on January 8, 2025. On January 6, the CBN announced plans to issue Treasury Bills with tenors of 91, 182, and 364 days, set for auction on January 8, 2025

This TB market is my target; once I liquidate some of my investments in the NGX.
Some 20%+ rate can be very useful for some project financing

But what's the reason behind it?

To reduce or manage possible promiscuity which is believed to be a result of an ''untamed'' or uncircumcised clit.
It is believed that an uncircumcised clit makes a woman feel uncontrollably Hot which could make her excessively promiscuous and wayward.

But it is okay if you are unable to provide a cogent, coherent answer. You are still highly valued and appreciated.

Hope you stop talking about them too, henceforth.?

A law firm (THE LAWSMITH - BARRISTER AND SOLICITOR) wrote a letter to Oando yesterday and copied SEC/NGX. Below is the extract and demands:

You will also recall that shareholders were told that Oando Plc could not pay dividends for a straight 10th year running due to the losses suffered in the past years. however, our Clients were disheartened to learn a few days later that Oando Plc held a very lavish and clearly extravagant End-of-year party on 19th December 2024 which featured Burna Boy. Wi2k,'d. Davido, Omah Lay among other music stars to commemorate and mark the 30th Anniversary of your Ocean & Oil Group allegedly at the cost of N7.425biIlion. Our Clients find this expense outrageous and unjustified considering the 31% reduction in the Company's Profit in its Q3 2024 financials and the lack of dividends to minority shareholders since 2013 even though your management staff and Board have consistently received remuneration without fail over the same period.

Our Clients are further unhappy about how the interests of your Ocean & Oil group have consistently been promoted over and above Oando Plc as exhibited in the 2023 Annual Report in which you attempted revisionism to make Oando Plc look like its story began in 1994 when Ocean & Oil was founded. It must be made clear that Oando Plc and Ocean & Oil Group are distinct and separate. They are not the same entity!

As such, we have our Clients' instructions to make the following demands:

As such, we have our Clients' instructions to make the following demands:
1. An immediate publication of the details of the Companies owing Oando P/c, the sums involved. the exact number of shares involved and proposed ratio of distribution. the relationship between those companies and Oando Directors:
2. An immediate publication ofthe cessation ofyour "Oando Co Private "pet project and fi/ing/service ofa Notice of Discontinuance to this effect.
3. A total refund of the sum spent on the extravagant End-of-year party on December 2024 by Ocean Oil Group to Oando P/c.
Good if true; let's wait and see Oando/Wale's response to this letter.

Ok agreed.
There is metamorphosis of life.
When you enter into another financial level, behave yourself so that people will not see your money as audio money.

How on earth will a billionaire beg for data from a common man?

There is a level I will reach at Nsempa,I will turn to a guest. Will only appear once in a while.

Sorry, don't get me wrong. I was not referring to begging for data.
I was only referring to the possibility of being a billionaire and still present here on this platform.
Peace!

Would you see 100m units to buy on the floor though?

I agree with your general point however. It's very possible that billionaires are on here. I'm not one yet myself personally but I know how much i've made from NGX and it is not insignificant, yet, I am still here looking for any useful information and to learn.

I think it is also an age thing. Most of the Uncles and mentors I have though, that are genuine billionaires, they do not operate on this platform. They usually just compare notes between themselves

Yes, one can get 100m units to buy on the secondary market e.g. if fortunate enough to get wind of some privileged information and able to mobilize different stock brokers / deal makers

Billionaires know where they meet.
It's possible for them to be here but on guest mode.
Some people you tagged as billionaires here are portfolio managers. They come here to get knowledge on how to effectively manage clients money.

Loco is just one man squad with a portfolio less than N100m but aspiring to make it big in chams this year targeting N200m by year end.

My brother, never under-estimate what can happen to your fortune and that of others.
One good investment can turn anyone into a billionaire, almost overnight! I am talking from experience.

For instance, some people bought several millions of Ikeja Hotels when it was at N0.9k somewhere in 2023/24. Some people could have easily bought more than 100million units at that time.
Imagine someone bought about 100million units (i.e. just N90m) when it was selling at N0.90k.
The same Ikeja Hotels is selling at over N12 today. That would make about N1.2billion, just like that. Such person would automatically be a billionaire but may not necessarily abandon this platform.
I know what some stocks have done for people and myself; it may sound like a miracle, but it happens and it can happen to you with your current portfolio. You may not put your mind on it, but it can happen.

Is a billionaire suppose to be here ?

See how I am struggling to hit 100m naira which I never seen in my life.Do you think if I hit 100m naira today,I will be active here again?

Imagine begging for data and also claiming billionaire....
Haba ......

My guy, it is possible for a billionaire to be here ooo!
Some guys here on this platform already have stocks portfolio worth billions of naira, trust me.
For some, being on this platform also helps guys to be current and learn a few things, in spite of their huge portfolios

North West politicians and governors have been the one against the bill. They are on their own as they don't have the number to stop the bill

If the bill/law is unpopular, it will be scrapped or reversed in the future by another government.
This current government will not be in power for ever.. That is the mistake most governments make
