Well, anyone who has spent 500 billion dollars defending you, your citizens and your territory can talk to you how ever he chooses...If Ukraine weren't depending on America to help her fight her war they wouldn't be at such a disadvantage

Please don’t spread false news, don’t fabricate data to buttress your opinion. See attached image, the source is from the state govt

Haaa I have been able to secure date o…Around that time, I used two emails. Eventually when they sent a reset link, one of the emails worked and i was able to proceed with that, the other didn’t work till date. So my advise to you is to use another email.

Can you explain further? How are you able to use two emails? Did you pay another visa fee and use a new email?

Wrong move. FG should get rid of dual citizenship. You cannot become a citizen of America, England or wherever and still maintain your Nigerian citizenship. If the U.S goes to war with Nigeria or another ECOWAS country, those folks abroad would have to fight for the U.S against their own brothers. So get rid of that.

Close all Nigerian embassies and consulates abroad. Anyone who needs Nigerian port renewal should be allowed to fly to Nigeria to get it done.

Every Nigerian based abroad should be made to remit 10% of their income as tax for the Nigerian government.

We need to to do everything in our power to stop people from traveling abroad otherwise we will have no country. If everyone runs abroad, who will fix the country. High time government does something drastic before it's too late.

Are you for real?

Can we get someone that has access that can help raise a ticket on our behalf with the email we use, maybe that could help. Just thinking 🤔

I doubt that, the only solution is to continue to talk to the AVIT operator through call or chat until we are to reach an experienced operator.

Here is what i did just now to be able to chat with actual human. I clicked on visa service then i clicked on already paid mrv fee and it gave me option to chat with , so i told them what the issue is and i sent them my email. They said they have escalated it to sha. Hopefully, they resolve soon, you can try that option as well

Thanks for your notes. Actually we were able to get hold of actual person through chat and call. They promised to escalate the case, however I got a link to reset the but it didn’t work. Still seeing inactive.

Hopefully someone has a solution to this. I have someone who is experiencing thesame issue. No solution yet, AVIT call or chat personnel couldn’t provide a solution
Nadetele:
Hello everyone. Please how can I solve this issue.
I tried to create an with AVITS but I couldn't .
The system keep saying that " is inactive"
I have checked for activation link from my mail, junk box, spam and all since Saturday without any luck.
I tried using someone's email but still the same result.
I tried chatting them but there was no way to chat with a real human, it was only bot with limited question and answers they provided. You can't type questions, you can only click on limited amount of questions they provided.
I also called, using the online call they provided, it was also a bot that responded.
I called one of the phone numbers they provided, but MTN said the number does not exist.

Please anyone with real answer on how I can move forward should please help me

What’s the earliest appointment date in Lagos?
log1(m): 4:34am On Apr 12, 2024
CallMeByMyName:
Good morning folks, my cousin is currently in the US on a B1/B2 visa. He got an offer already in public Health Oklahoma State University, can he switch/change his B1/B2 visa to F1 while in the US.

He doesnt want to go back to Nigeria, the B1/B2 is still valid, and he wants to change the status here in the US to F1. Please anyone suggestion, and guidance on how to change from visit visa to student visa within the USA.

Please advise. Thanks

“If you would like to change your status through USCIS, then you will need to reach out to your SEVP-certified university, or language program for Form I-20 (“Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status”). In this form, the school’s Designated School Official (DSO) should mark ‘change of status’ as the Issue Reason.

Next, you will need to pay the I-901 Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) fee. Lastly, you will need to file Form I-539 (“Application to Extend/Change Nonimmigrant Status”) to USCIS, and pay the fees for filing and biometrics.

Once you have filed Form I-539, you will need to wait for USCIS to respond. While you are waiting, however, you will need to make sure that your original visitor status through your B-1/B-2 visa is still valid”

The link is not working, so I am not part of the Whatsapp group. I will advise you keep checking; they recently release new dates. The available appointment dates used to be in 2026 but the last time I checked I saw a lot of appointments dates that start from May 2025 dates.

Is the earliest date you talked about for Abuja or Lagos?

adelawry:

First to your page and see if the "reschedule" option appears for you. If you have never rescheduled, then you should have the option. So, yes, you can reschedule but the earliest available date as at today is May 22, 2025. However, there is a possibility of getting date in September 2024 but extremely difficult and chances are slim.

As at 2022 when you purchased your MRV, you could reschedule 3 times. But right now, you can only reschedule once. I do not know if you have the 3 times option or the one time reschedule option. I would think it should be based on the updated platform and not a function of when you paid visa fee. so not sure about that.

I see you have created time to provide to people questions, that commendable. I can't help but noticed that you often come strong as if you have an unfinished fight. This is a faceless forum, help people in your little way and move on expect there is more behind the scene.

Hey 🤠

** Look at the opinions of people who want to dominate Nairaland ?? Adding salt to the injuries of a distressed individual .

1. I read the comment of @spanishmilf and walked away , knowing that he is only good in selling stolen iPhones and other gadgets . He put iPhone 11 for sell at 250k (NGN) in this same Nigeria he is condemning as a suffering nation .

2. To my surprise , @fealessfang came up with the above opinion , rusbishing Nigeria to a nation where someone coming from the United States cannot even make it . Is that the advice you will give any wealthy Americans who is willing to come and establish in Nigeria??

3. The OP is as good as an American because he has lived all his life (perhaps in American streets) the way he narrated as a result of parental failures . I knew he needed the help of a Clinical Psychologist (because he might also be doing drug) but I did not want to sound insulting, hence i twisted it to a guidance counselor .

4. Here you are making jest of him and making fools of yourselves ( @fealessfang and @spanishmilf ) that he would suffer in Nigeria where people are still building mansions in Lekki, Magodo, buying expensive cars , and sending their children to Covenant University , American University of Nigeria , UnilaG etc and where business managers are still acquiring properties .

5. Truthfully. There is inequalities in the distribution of opportunities and wealth in Nigeria as a result of (some of) our past leaders failures . Yet Nigeria is still a wealthy nation with good population to succeed in reasonable businesses . God Bless Nigeria .

Best Wishes 🙏

Thank you so much for this update. My interview is scheduled for May 27th and I need to be in Canada by June 7th, So I didnt want a situation where my port would still be with the US Embassy by then.

Thank you and congrats once again.

If I may ask, when did you schedule this appointment and which of the embassies?

What are the strong fundamental stocks you can recommend? Thanks
yMcy56:

Bros, seems you're a billionaire .......nah everything recommended you dey buy? shocked

........and to say that you always dash NSE money self .......e be like say I go need some loan from you oooo. tongue

Think it will be better you just pump your money on sound fundamental stocks and be collecting dividends yearly..........while you retain small portion, say 10% or 5% (depending on your pocket) of total fund for JIJO biz, this way, you'll limit the extent of jumping around in all stocks.
It's also good to always ask questions if you're not very sound in carrying out due diligence.......

One of the issues with Ellah Lakes is illiquidity. Sometimes ago, the directors holding unto it were told to release some for free float but I don't think it was followed thru by SEC or they're not mandated to relinquish some shares.......not very sure again.

If you must jump around as a newbie maybe, try and be buying fundamental ones at least.......with this you can convert to medium/long term if it's not meeting up with the target..........just my humble opinion anyway.

@Good day All,

I don't know much about Nigeria stocks, my quick technical analysis doesn't make alot of sense with what I know. Most stocks do have enough volume and have increase for much for the past years. Currently I have some unused funds I don't want to keep in my savings . What are the long term stocks you can recommend, I thought of buying Guinness, Seplat, PZ, Dangcem, Holleywell, MTNN, GTBank, and JBERGER.

Note, these stocks are going to be in my portfolio for a very long time

Thanks for your

Hello Macky,

I wanted to ask how payments for the SEVIS fee works. I’ve heard only people abroad can make payments? You have any comments on this?

You can't make the payment in Nigeria. is either someone abroad pays it or you visit nearby Seme in Benin Republic.

The website quoted is not run by US govt.but what the "natural born" laws clearly states is that any child born abroad to a US citizen is considered a natural born.
Simply put, irrespective of where a child is born,is a US citizen at birth and can vie for the presidency of the United States.
khiaa:

You are 100 percent correct.
How have you been?

Natural born means anyone born on U.S. soil and subject to its jurisdiction is a natural born citizen, regardless of parental citizenship
