@jnrremedy. The problem that mostly result into non-mobilazation of students/department are likely due to the ff reasons bt nt limited to these points;
1. Failure of Senate to approve results of studnts due to numerous reasons.
2. When plenty of students are on ground, so they hav to mobile studnt batch by batch

Emmysteve: Abeg my fellow prospective corpers pray for us oo my class mate just called to inform me that we are not making the batch A. Thats the rumour he heard, i just cant belief it. How can i stay at home for close to a year? The last set went for batch B but i belief the ASUU strike is responsible for that. i dont knw why our school want to slow our career, when i have job waiting for me to collect my NYSC discharge and school result. The set that went for batch B had to presurize the school management with series of meetings before their names was submited to NYSC headquaters for mobilization. But my friend told me that some people wiil sit with the vc to make sure we meet the Batch A ( kogi state university is the school name)

It iz a pity that your skul managemt iz nt sensitive 2 studnts mobilization. I pray there lacklustre wont affect u this time. All iz well.

Akwa ibom payz 6500 wyl Rivers payz frm 10k bt u v 2 consida somany factors in rivers lyk transportation, housing, living xpenses wich is prolly on d high syd. Somany ppl r delusiond by d fact dat Rivers is an oil-rich state so u c em troopin dia in high hopes of landin a job wit shell, mobil, Agip etc bt end up in disapointment.(som hv committed suicide out of frustration sef, lol) I loathe Rivers state,(remynds me of Aluu4 #sad face nd pukes#) dat state is ova crowded jus lyk lagos. Infact u nid 2 know smbdy wey knw smbody wey knw smbody 2 mek it dia. Akwa ibom is also an oil-rich relatively small organised clean state wit 90% literacy rate b/c of d govt free edu policy. Living xpenses, trans, housin r minimal.

I graduated since october 2011.(Abia state university) my dept wz d only dept dat nva mobilised 4 july batch, i wz hrt broken, i patiently waited 4 novembr batch, d same tin dat hapnd in july repeated itself agn in november(we wer nt mobilized agn) nw am again patiently waitin 4 march. My folks even tink am making up stories 4 nt goin 4 nysc, they r even kinda skeptic may b m doin xtra year in d uni or v nt graduated b/c all my set went 4 july batch nd novembr came nd stil pasd me by. I too hv preety jobs i cud land bt 4 nw NO SHOW. I had my future all mapd out immediately i graduated bt evrytin at d moment is upsyd dwn/slow motion tinz. Nobody is even sure of Batch A tinz at d moment until nxt month wen i hpe 2 travel dwn east 2 my skool 2 knw wats good. Let's jus b hopeful. I knw it ain't easy but dats ok. Pacesetter iz a gud place 2 b dear expecially if u ar posted to ib or other civilize town in oyo state. Thou the state pays stipend per month bt with ur FG allawi u are gud to go.

The from what i gathered frm ppl, the policy still hold that u are wil b posted to teaching sector, ministry and L.G. But let wait to see hw PPA posting of Batch C will go maybe they wil relax the policy.

That's just the fact. i always knew the skill is the most important factor in this ever competitive market. i just missed a very good opportunity with a mutli national engineering firm 'cuz i don't have the skills required, that was like an eye opener that i needed to be proactive. Am a fresh gaduate of civil engrng and will be starting my autoCAD, p&id, autoplant training by monday. i will like to know the engineering training school you attended in lagos, it will be of great help to me in my quest to acquire skills.

I must commend you for this eye opener article. Nigeria education system is not helping matters because they have failed in there core responsibility, to turn out graduate that has technical skills to profer solutions to industries problem, what we have is graduate who walk about with certificate but has no technical know how. I know Nigeria will get it right one day.

He said dat state schools board of Rivers government is now paying corpers 18,000 per month, not mentioning also allowances from the local government and couple with allawi from Federal government.
