These days I tell Muslims around me to choose their path carefully. Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE are Islamic countries, but so also are Afghanistan, Yemen and Lebanon. Unfortunately many of the poorly educated northern Muslims where I come from are choosing the path of the latter group instead of the Former's.

Although I do not agree with the SP stating the facts that he made there on his seat as the No.3 person in the country, what he did may not be the priority, but they are still needed. We must understand that our needs are different. There are people whose life aspiration is to go on pilgrimage. To them, even if you build schools everywhere, it doesn't mean much. But they are also Nigerians/citizens who are equally important stakeholders. The Stadium is of economic value... We have countries that spend huge fortune to use other nation's stadium to host matches. The livelihoods of those who worked and still maintain the stadium are also tied to it. Moreover, the hotels and other centres of commerce around the stadium would be a hive of huge economic activities when there are matches. Additionally the residences for the governor and his deputy were equally important as many pay rent today. And as for PO, I don't believe he can do much for Nigeria. 1 Like |

1Alex: Public education and health care are heavily subsidised too in Nigeria. We have had a lot of ineffective leaders, some of them may have been wicked. But we must never lose sight of the benefits we enjoy from the government. The reason a number of these benefits are not visible is because of the attitude of an average government worker. Public primary, secondary school teachers and lecturers don't want to go to class; they will gang up and start exploiting the students. Most of the funds they take from you from primary school to the end of your first degree don't go to the government. Many of these teachers will rather go and set up another business while keeping the government jobs, the University lecturers will take up jobs in neighbouring private schools and starve the students itted to the government schools. They come back and just fix classes whenever they feel like it. Moreover medical practitioners in government owned hospitals have their own private clinics where they attend to people. Often times, they don't do their best in the government owned institutions before referring patients to their own. Although many will argue that the cost of goods and services are surging and these folks need to meet up because of poor pay, but it should be noted that the same greed in the average Nigerian makes this happen. People are quick to raise the prices of goods and services as soon as they hear news, but will refuse to bring it down if circumstances change. Where forced to bring it down, they will mourn. Unfortunately, if the government begins a crackdown on these unfortunate trend, many of us will come out to shout "anti-human practices" and make the government of the day unpopular. Eventually the sharks (other politicians waiting) will ride on the ignorance of the "masses" to get to power without any solid plan to put things in order. I will conclude by saying this, you may not like the person in helms of affairs today, but take your time and look at the other side of his actions. Ask anyone coming out today what they will do if they should get elected in 2027. Things are tough right now because the economy was restarted and repositioned in my view. I believe the pains are in the short term, in the medium to long term, if we don't go back like we did with Yaradua when he had to reverse the sale of the refineries, things will improve. Regarding the cost of fuel et al, it won't matter if it becomes affordable. South Korean Won is just about the equivalent of the Naira, yet an average person can afford a quality life there. |

MONEY247: While sometimes married men tend to cheat because some wives weaponize sexual intimacy, I won't dwell on that because of your comments about the case study that you presented in your piece. So, I will talk about growing success of men and the hypergamous nature of women as key reasons many married men cheat. Firstly, most men tend to get married at the beginning of their career and foray into wealth creation. As a result of this, they are usually very busy building their lives and climbing the success ladder. In fact, at times like these, many of them are religious, and are very committed to their partners. Significant part of their income goes into home upkeep. Nothing much is available for frivolities and they invest good portions of the little income left into personal development and emergency . But as they have more disposal income, things tend to change as they can now afford to act on their wild desires. In addition to the foregoing, most ladies in our society tend to get attracted to successful men, irrespective of their marital status. As husbands begin to have more and more disposable income, grow in their careers etc. they become more visible and attractive to most women. Since some of these men become managers, top leaders, captains of industries eventually, they have meetings outside of their usual places of residence and sometimes even have to go to such meetings with female colleagues and/or secretaries who have been looking for avenues to have amorous relationship with such men for various reasons. Men naturally find it difficult to resist what they see, particularly if it's the body aligns with his "specification". As I conclude, rising disposable income plus the humongous drive of the female gender towards successful men are some of the major reasons males who have already tied the knots to cheat on their wives. It is important that married men understand that faithful wives deserve faithfulness as well, learn to be empathetic irrespective of their financial success and to create formidable boundaries against uncouth fellows. 10 Likes 3 Shares |

Where is this coming from? Before accepting these politically motivated figures, we must ask: 1. What was the average number of business closures between 2019 and 2023? 2. How many new businesses, particularly indigenous ones, were established in the same period? 3. How many new companies have been ed in Nigeria over the same period (2023-2024)? Credible data on the above will provide a clearer perspective rather than sensational claims. As someone actively engaged with businesses in Nigeria, I can confidently say that the rate of company closures today is not as alarming as it was in past years. In fact, some previously struggling businesses have revived, and many new ones are emerging. We must not allow politicians to manipulate us for their own interests. Prioritize your future and that of your children. Those like El-Rufai and others have secured their wealth and their children's futures using our national resourcesâdonât let them mislead you. If President Tinubu is not performing well, the same people who criticized Jonathan in 2014-2015 for personal gain, these new hawks will not do any better. Back then, gullible Nigerians listened, and today, we see how much further we have fallen. Letâs think critically and not be used as political pawns. |

Hello Rubyjade, Congratulations on being offered the job. Since your contract with your current employer is ending, accept the new offer, if the old one cannot be renewed. However, I will advise that you look for ways to cut down on transportation cost. For instance, do you have any friend living close to the new job location that you can put up with during the week, or that you can share a space with, even if you have to pay? Or have you seen anyone who works in the company that is mobile and lives very close to your place that you can discuss transportation arrangements with, even if it's at 50-60% of the normal transportation cost? Make sure you put measures in place to get the job. It's not wise to reject an employment offer when you do not have another; and it's always easier to move to another employment from one. All the best. |

Introduction Beloved, it is sobering to consider the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:21, âNot everyone who says to me, âLord, Lord,â will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.â These words challenge us to look beyond outward religiosity and focus on the core of our faith: doing Godâs will. Let us explore this truth together, not as a critique of going to church but as a call to live lives that truly please God. Discussion Questions 1. What does it mean to do the will of the Father? Jesus summarized Godâs will in Mark 12:30-31: âLove the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself.â It is not about rituals or appearances but about living in love and obedience to Godâs commandments. 2. Does going to church guarantee entry into the Kingdom? While attending church is good for fellowship and spiritual growth (Hebrews 10:25), Jesus makes it clear that it is not the ultimate qualification for heaven. The Pharisees were devout in their religious practices, yet Jesus said, âWoe to you...you shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in peopleâs facesâ (Matthew 23:13). True faith goes beyond rituals; it requires a heart surrendered to God. 3. Can someone who never goes to church enter heaven? Consider the parable of the two sons in Matthew 21:28-32. One son initially refused to obey his father but later repented and did his will. Jesus concluded, âThe tax collectors and prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you.â It is not about where you are but whether you respond to Godâs call with a willing heart. Key Points to Reflect On 1. God Desires Obedience, Not Pride 1 Samuel 15:22: âTo obey is better than sacrifice.â Pride in religious affiliation or personal works does not impress God. A humble and obedient heart does. 2. Faith Without Action is Dead James 2:26: âAs the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.â Pleasing God requires us to live out our faith in how we treat others and honor Him. 3. The Kingdom is for All Who Believe and Obey Whether someone finds God in a church, on the streets, or in their personal struggles, what matters is their response to Him. Jesus said, âI am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through meâ (John 14:6). Interactive Reflection How can you do Godâs will in your daily life? Are there areas where you are relying on appearances rather than true obedience to God? How can you share Godâs love with someone who may never step into a church? Conclusion Beloved, let us not be deceived by religion or church-pride. Jesus is calling us to a deeper walkâone rooted in obedience and love for God and others. , the Kingdom of Heaven is for those who do the will of the Father. Whether you are in a church pew or out in the world, let your life reflect His glory. âBlessed are those who hear the word of God and obey itâ (Luke 11:28). Let us strive to be among them. May God help us to live lives pleasing to Him. Amen! 12 Likes 3 Shares |

Beloved, the message of Christ is simple yet profound: âRepent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at handâ (Matthew 4:17). Sadly, over the years, this message has been diluted by denominationalism and the pursuit of earthly things. Yet, Christ did not come to establish denominations or to focus our hearts on the mundane; He came to proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdomâthe good news of God's rule on earth as it is in heaven. The Gospel of the Kingdom The word gospel means âgood news,â and the Kingdom refers to the domain where God is King. When Christ taught His disciples to pray in Matthew 6:10, âThy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven,â He revealed the essence of His mission: to establish Godâs divine rule on earth. This Kingdom is not bound by church walls or human traditions; it transcends religion and denominations. Christ emphasized that the Kingdom is a heavenly reality, a place where Godâs will is done automatically. He told Pilate, âMy kingdom is not of this worldâ (John 18:36). Thus, to be Kingdom-minded is to look beyond earthly systems and live under the authority of God, submitting fully to His will. Denominationalism Divides, the Kingdom Unites Paul warned against division in the body of Christ in 1 Corinthians 1:10-13, where he rebuked believers for aligning themselves with particular leaders rather than with Christ. Denominationalism often focuses on differences rather than the unifying message of the Gospel. Christ Himself prayed for unity among believers in John 17:21, saying, âThat they all may be one; as Thou, Father, art in me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in us.â Pursuit of the Kingdom Over the Mundane Jesus taught in Matthew 6:33, âSeek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.â The mundane pursuits of lifeâwealth, power, and earthly accoladesâare temporary. Christ calls us to prioritize the eternal: a life of righteousness, submission to Godâs will, and a commitment to expanding His Kingdom on earth. How to Be Kingdom-Minded 1. Focus on God's Will: Regularly pray and ask, âLord, let Your will be done in my life.â Seek to align your actions with His purposes. 2. Love Without Barriers: Christâs Kingdom knows no denominational boundaries. Show love to all, as He commanded in John 13:34-35: âLove one another as I have loved you.â 3. Invest in Eternity: Instead of chasing temporary rewards, labor for the things of the Kingdomâsouls saved, lives transformed, and God's Word proclaimed. 4. Live in Unity: Refuse to let denominational differences hinder fellowship with other believers. Celebrate the shared hope we have in Christ. Conclusion Beloved, Christâs message is clear: His Kingdom is about Godâs rule on earth and in our hearts. Let us move beyond denominationalism and focus on the Gospel of the Kingdom. As citizens of heaven, our allegiance is to the King of kings, not to the structures of men. Be Kingdom-minded, live for God's glory, and let His will be done through you. âFor the Kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spiritâ (Romans 14:17). Let us walk in this truth and draw others into the light of His Kingdom. May His Kingdom come, and His will be done in us. Amen! |

Kingdom people, as we witness the turbulence of our timesâwars, famines, earthquakes, and societal decayâit is easy to feel overwhelmed. Yet, as believers, we are called not to fear but to stand firm in faith and purpose. Let us turn to Matthew 24:1-14, where Jesus provides profound insights about the end times. The disciples asked Jesus for the signs of His coming and the end of the age. He began by describing events like wars, famines, and false prophets. However, He clarified that these are not the signs of the end but "the beginning of sorrows" (Matthew 24:6-8 ). These events are reminders of a broken world, but they are not the ultimate marker of His return. In Matthew 24:14, Jesus gives a clear answer: âThis gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.â The ultimate sign of the end is the global proclamation of the Gospel. It is not the chaos of the world that signals the end, but the completion of God's mission for His people. This truth shifts our focus from fear to action. Instead of being consumed by the distress around us, we are to keep faith and fulfill our calling as Kingdom people. Jesus assures us in Matthew 24:13, âHe who endures to the end shall be saved.â Salvation is not just about avoiding destruction; it is about faithfully persevering in our walk with God and spreading His love to others. Beloved, the world should be more aware of Christ's return when the Gospel reaches uncommon places, breaking barriers of culture, language, and geography. This is happening today like never before! Missionaries are reaching remote villages, digital platforms are spreading the Word, and believers are testifying in nations once closed to the Gospel. What, then, should we do? 1. Preach the Gospel Boldly: Share the message of salvation wherever you areâat work, in your community, and through social media. 2. the Mission: Pray for and those taking the Gospel to unreached places. 3. Endure in Faith: Stay grounded in your faith, even amidst trials, for endurance guarantees salvation (James 1:12). Let us , the end will not come with a bang of destruction but with the sound of the Gospel resonating across the earth. So, rather than fear the signs, let us be part of the fulfillment of Godâs ultimate signâpreaching the Gospel to all nations. Stay encouraged, dear brethren, and be Kingdom-focused. As Paul exhorts in 2 Timothy 4:2, âPreach the word; be ready in season and out of season.â Letâs hasten the coming of the Lord by spreading His Word and living as testimonies of His grace. May God strengthen us as we fulfill His mission. Amen! 1 Like 1 Share |

Archaeologists discovered a silver amulet containing an 18-line text showing the oldest known devotion to Christianity north of the Alps. Computer technology helped unravel the mystery of the text hidden within a silver amulet from the third century A.D. The find rewrites the history of Christianityâs spread in the northern Roman Empire. An 1,800-year-old silver amulet discovered buried in a Frankfurt, , grave, still next to the chin of the man who wore it, has 18 lines of text written in Latin on just 1.37 inches of silver foil. That could be enough to rewrite the known history of Christianity in the Roman Empire. The amuletâand the inscriptionâare the oldest evidence of Christianity found north of the Alps. Every other link to reliable evidence of Christian life in the northern Alpine area of the Roman Empire is at least 50 years younger, all coming from the fourth century A.D. But the amulet, found in a grave dating between 230 and 270 A.D. and now known as âThe Frankfurt Inscription,â was made to better decipher the inscription. The Frankfurt Silver Inscription, based on the most updated translation: (In the name?) of Saint Titus. Holy, holy, holy! In the name of Jesus Christ, Son of God! The Lord of the World resists with [strength?] all attacks(?)/setbacks(?). The god(?) grants well-being ission. This rescue device(?) protects the person who is surrenders to the will of the Lord Jesus Christ, God's Son, since before Jesus Christ all knees bow: the heavenly ones, the earthly and the underground, and every tongue confess (to Jesus Christ). https://www.popularmechanics.com/science/archaeology/a63204262/silver-amulet-roman-christianity/

Nigeria and sensationalism. Madam, if you have the certificate of occupancy, present it. If you don't, then you have occupied that land for free for 42 years, the right thing to do is to normalise the ownership of the land. Enough of this media witch-hunt of the government. The other day it was another groups who came to bad-mouth the government to curry the sympathy of unsuspecting Nigerians after building structures on government's properties. As a people we need to decide and pursue what we want. You cannot be asking for a first-world status and desire to retain the weaknesses of a third-world nation. You cannot demarket your country in the Digital space almost 24/7 and expect to be respected abroad. The current perception of Nigerians is mainly because of the way we have painted ourselves. 16 Likes 2 Shares |

In all honesty, I think the Tax bills should be translated to Hausa and other major Nigerian languages, then a videographic illustration of what we have and what the new bills will make us to have, still in the major Nigerian languages should be produced and transmitted in all media houses anf Social media platforms for the next 2 weeks. The above has become necessary because it is now clear that many of us don't read, some read but don't understand English. Since we are more familiar with our languages and skits, it should be presented to us that way. 1 Like |

I think the biggest problem of Africa is the inability of an individual to put the state's well being above personal interests. The above is well understood by the West and other developed nations, so they leverage on it. They will rather give a million dollars to 2 people to share and get away with a product worth $10b than pay for its real value. From Apple to Tesla et al. They continue to run down our continent giving us peanut in return. Yet, they are able to do it just by giving a piece of cake to a few amongst us who inturn gets weapon and turn against their people. Africans have always fed on their kinds. The northern elites in Nigeria would rather have the almajiri subjugated. They brandish a religion to put the low-income people in check, show a form of godliness themselves but are actually godless. I appreciate the frankness of Tinubu, but no ruler allows his subjects have what makes him to rule over them. Africa must come together. |

Nomercie: If the Jesus being talked about here is Jesus the Anointed one, then you are comparing the living with the dead. The day you know The Anointed one, the God incarnate truly, that day you will realise that he cannot be compared to anything! Just like darkness does not struggle at the instance of light, so the deity you mentioned will naturally bow out at the instance of the mention of Christ'name - Christ doesn't even need to appear. Jesus Christ is the Saving God in human flesh. 1 Like |

Trimjos: The reverse of what you said there is also true. Many of these companies leaving Nigeria are leaving because of FX losses. Nigeria had been substituting the USD for them for years. They then repatriate the USD to their countries. Moreover, have you asked about the companies buying them off? Many of these companies are being taken over by indigenous business owners and other foreign companies as well. In view of these, while it is a smart move to look inwards to know and understand why things happen, sometimes, it is not out of place to look outwards as well. |

SmartPolician: We need to cut our government some slack sometimes. Are we ready to pay for the quality education we so much desire? Is ASUU ready to align with the new economy and industry-centered curriculum that NUC and other stakeholders have advocated for? A lecturer fails to appear for his classes, ASUU arises and threatens to go on strike if disciplinary action is taken against such erring lecturer. A student is denied a class of degree he or she merited and some other students and lecturer see it as normal. It gets worse when some of these students begin to condemn schools that award the appropriate classes of degree to deserving students. Some of these students tag these normal schools as being too easy failing to understand that they already started seeing and calling a misnormal what it isn't. I had my first degree in UI, second in Unilag and currently in Covenant. The difference between the public schools and CU istratively is similar to the difference between light and darkness. 1 Like |

I believe the world exists in layers. Perhaps this is what many call dimensions. Some of these creatures exist in another layer even now, in my opinion. I an experience I had in 2005 when I was in school. I saw creatures like the ones here including a dwarf who commanded them. I believe it was very real because by the time I woke up, it was very noisy as the dogs were barking heavily. Our current form is perhaps the weakest. It is limited by time and space. However, I noticed that even during an OBE, some layers still exist that are beyond what is visible even when out of body. It seems to me that even spirits are in levels and knowledge is perhaps th greatest asset in the spirit realm. 11 Likes |
