It seems that Igbo students and students from South East are well off...not asking for any loan or grants
Or the parents in these areas are very okay ..it can be an economics denominator
This is also an indication of the economic well-being of the regions. Poverty is much lower amongst people of the South East compared with other regions.

I did my NYSC in Ekiti State.
Year: 2014-2015
Moba LGA
Honestly, i really enjoyed the stipulated time of the mandatory NYSC scheme specifically in that area..
Light, water , transportation were favoureable and the people were really friendly and accommodating..
During that period i toured around ,thou to some LGAs and area but it seems there were all enjoying the same benefit in power supply which is meant to be across the country as a social amenities. But what be the reason of the recent blackout is the question am asking??
Nawao for this country oo.. We just need a good Leader to head and work on the country's affairs meant for the citizens.. With him, every negative activities will be vanquished!
For some reason, Moba LGA has always enjoyed regular power and water supply. I was there in 2004 (21 years ago) and I was impressed with the regular supply of electricity and water.

Good for Zimbabweans. I hope Nigerian government follows the same step, make the prices of all imports from USA crash in our market. Never!! Tinubu will never do that even if Trump raise the tariffs on the imports from Nigeria to 50% as retaliation or reduce it to 0% as a good gesture
Do you really think it is good policy?

But talk true, are you proud of what you saw there?
NNPC Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) is already Yoruba; as appointed by the president.
Now, this GCEO went ahead to appoint Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Yoruba.
Chief Operating Officer (COO), Yoruba.
Vice President, Gas, Power and Energy, Yoruba.
No sense of shame or pretense of cosmopolitanism.
And you are proud?
So Roland Ewubare, an Urhobo man is now Yoruba.

Most of the banks will meet the 31st March 2026 deadline. The banks you mentioned only chose to raise capital in phases. GTBank for instance is a darling of investors in the stock market.

It's crystal clear that Lagos state remains a personal estate of Tinubu they had to wait for him to return for the Christmas holiday to get approval to impeach a sitting speaker, Same brand of Godfatherism Wike was trying to introduce in Rivers State. What a shame!!!
Not the same. Wike was interfering in the actual governance. BAT has never interfered in the day to day running of Lagos State since he left office in 2007. The hold he has is on the political machinery with the end goal of moving to a higher office. That goal was finally achieved 16 years later.

He fell out with the powers that be and won't be the first Lagos House of assembly speaker to be impeached ...
Jokotola Pelumi was impeached to paved way for Mamora.
This is incorrect Jokotola actually replaced Mamora after the later went to the Senate.

Is it about the boardroom challenge he's facing at first bank?
We read Emiefiele gave him the larger share of first bank in a room without due process followed.
That's not possible now. I might have facilitated it, but the CBN Governor has no such powers, except the Bank has been taken over by CBN

That's a very long road cutting across 3 States with several bad sections.
N15 billion can't fix it.
The sections between Ilesha and Ife towards Oshogbo needs complete re-tarring. I doubt N15 billion can even fix that section.
Ilesha to Akure is relatively OK, just needs minor patching.
Akure to Owo needs more patching.
I haven't travelled Owo - Benin for several years, but it used to be horrible after Ifon.
Hopefully N15 billion is just a start and more money will be allocated in future budgets.
God bless you my brother/Sister. The way some people just type what they know nothing about.

Tinubu was the worst performing governor of that set. He did absolutely nothing to improve the Lagos that was bequeathed to him as former federal capital territory where hundreds of billions of dollars was spent on infrastructures during Nigeria oil boom from 60s to 90s. Infact Olagunsoye Oyinlola started operated sweep and marwa took over, improved it and made Lagos one of the most secured cities in the world then but when tinubu took over in 1999 he allow that security structure to collapse. The crime was so high that a lot of investors, expatriates like the fawaz family from Lebanon and others ran away from Lagos under Tinubu. It was Gani Adams that saved the situation by forming OPC security outfit run privately by a group of Yoruba vigilante men to return sanity to Lagos. Tinubu did absolutely nothing., built no schools , many roads he inherited from federal government were allowed to become dilapidated. Lagos picked up under fashola, continued by Ambode and maintained by the current person there. Tinubu was more engrossed in his political fights to secure his position fought akerele, Obasanjo, Funsho Williams etc and wasnât even concerned about humane welfare of Lagosians as to him that doesnât matter
It is amazing how some of you just spread falsehood. Lagos that was unsafe pre-1999? When robbery held sway is now being painted as safer than post 1999. Fear God now

James Ibori was one of the best governors of his set. It was just that Obasanjo set him up to be imprisoned in London over the presidency issue. Obasanjo wanted a northerner in 2006 while Ibori, Odili and Alamiesigha wanted a Niger deltan since most of Nigerian revenue comes from Niger Delta
Obasanjo had long left power when Ibori was arrested.

Tinubu is a real politician... See how he has taken this one
But mind you, politicians are not leaders
Peter Obi is a true leader but not a good Politician... Unfortunately, Nigerians prefer politicians to leaders so we will continue to have those whose priorities is to occupy offices and not to make impact.
Tinubu didn't have to take this guy or anyone for that matter. The guys is just an opportunist, candidacy of Labour part or any party does not change that.

Which truth. Why would someone rely on GTBank's alternative payment channel after getting the advisory. There is high possibility of the migration developing teething problems. It is not uncommon with software migration.

The singular fact that NNPC is the sole distributor of Dangote petrol means that the masses will have zero benefit from the magnificent refinery. NNPC could buy at N10 and decide to sell at N100. They can still cause artificial scarcity at will and hike the price as usual. It is a very worrisome situation that a national corporation has become a distributor for a private firm whereas it cannot maintain the refineries under its watch.
Having refinery of this magnitude in the country, everything about distribution of petroleum products should be completely deregulated. Let the forces demand and supply determine price and supply...
Thatâs the reason the masses will benefit. Mr Dangote knows Nigerians will come for him if he releases the price of PMS. Does NNPC have the power to stop him from selling to the public. The arrangement was done to enable the government subsidize the product.

Why is the pms only for NNPC? That means NNPC will be the middlemen here.
Something is not clear here
What is not clear? If Dangote should release the actual price to the public, people will come for him. This arrangement allows the government takes care of the difference between the actual cost and the pump price i.e subsidy.

I just hope that this kind of fundamental diplomatic shift, was done after thorough and strategic planning. It seems like Tinubu is running the country like a sole , especially with the legislature and the judiciary already pocketed. This kind of decision should be done after much consultations.
While following the Chinese is the best path, since China is basically the next super power, policy makers should understand that countries like Taiwan are still very important diplomatic tools being used by the west to influence politics in Asia. This means that an anti Taiwan stand by Nigeria will surely attract some sort of reactions from the west.
Consultation with who? Why no one is infallible, President Tinubu says is within his rights.
