mmm. u bought 8pcs 314ah cells (actual capacity 333ah-337ah) and brand new jk bms from me. it was not assembled by me, u seem not to have setup your new bms appropriately. settings still on default ,including capacity value. thanks
I have already set it up

Intellab(m): 4:21pm On May 08 |
earthrealm:
Your bms wasnt set up properly...the battery capacity is on default 40ah, where as it shud be 314ah .
Another way is to do a capacity test.charge full
.then drain and see how many ah you get from it.
3rd option is to open the case and eyeball each cell.
However this may void ur warranty and isnt 100% accurate. The capacity test is the preferred option
I built the case myself. DIY. I have set it up.

See bro,
The problem you are facing goes beyond s. The required s are needed to refill, your battery bank or to avoid quick drain during use of sumo. But your battery size is capable of doing this since you are not running it for hours.
Your present system should be able to power your sumo without the of anything under normal condition.
If you solely depend on sunlight and large pv, how do you pump during raining period, early morning and night hours?
Check your cables and all terminals that require very firm connections from batteries to inverter. The Satchet inverter terminals need super firmess. I made use of plier to achieve this. Hand tight won't give you this strong tight.
How do I confirm this is 314ah lifepo4? These are batteries from Valto.

Mine is 0.5hp ( deceitful though) bc it pull 66a from my 12v 3000w Satchet inverter. That is roughly 800w instead of 372w on paper.
With the above, your 1hp ( that if it is not old type) could be 1600w or higher and your inverter can only do 1500w continuous.
On 25v charge, it drops to 24v, then pump starts behaving as if I am trying to power it with a low current.
I will charge to 28v and try.

dollarnaira:
This is a 24v system right? Got confused when you stated 8 psc of 314ah in parallel.
The 2 250w can't do the job until you clarify your set up as 24 or 12v.
What type of inverter are you using?
It’s 24v. Easun 3000w pure sine wave inverter.

You're maybe getting 400w from those s at peak sunlight.
Is this a 12v or 24v system?
24v

My build can’t power my 1HP astra Sumo pump. The Sumo switch is on, but it behaves as if the current is too low.
Here’s my setup:
8 pieces of 314Ah LiFePO4 batteries from Valto, connected in parallel using busbars.
200A JK 1A active balancer with Bluetooth BMS
60A Felicity MPPTz
2 solar s rated at 250 watts each.
I just got the MPPT yesterday. When I tested it, the voltage was at 25.8V. Once I switched on the Sumo, the voltage dropped to 24V, but the pump didn’t start.
I’m thinking that once it charges the system to 28V, it might be able to power the Sumo.
What do you think?

Intellab(m): 2:45pm On Apr 26 |
dollarnaira:
These are lithium ion 3.7v per cell
Series will give 11.1v ( 3 cells )
Full charge is 4.2v per cell
Series = 12.6v ( still 12v system)
Lifepo4 is 3.2v per cell
Series 12.8v ( 4 cells )
Full charge is 3.50v per cell
Series 14.0v ( 12v system ).
Lithium ion 16v = 4s
Lithium ion 24v = 7s ( 7 cells )
Would you recommend your current cells over lifepo4 for powering entire house and a sumo? I don't mean as powerbank.
Mine is 644 pieces of 18650 batteries. 92P7S. But it seems I bought fake 18650.

What do you mean by "only works with...."?
Probably you use an uneditable ones which is strictly for lead acid batteries.
The are pwm with settings as mppt but not common. Any BCS....pwm will work with any battery chemistry.
Mine has editable settings, still doesn't charge my pack. It even reduces its performance. A lot of folks knows PWM isn't good for 18650 batteries. Why do you suggest it?

Please guys, I need your inputs 🙏
I've been using the common small blue pmw solar charge controller, but I have to hook up a buck converter to it as advisedby some here, just to monitor my li-ion battery voltage and ensure it doesn't go beyond 12.6. Because using my blue pmw solar charge controller, the lowest charge voltage is 12.7v, already above 12.6v.
Though beyond 12.6, the BMS will cut off charge in the long run, but I prefer it stops charging at 12.6.
Now what brings me here is that, I need advice on an affordable PMW solar charge controller that is effective, efficient and reliable for 12v Li-ion battery, such that I won't need buck converter to stabilise/stop charging my battery at 12.6v

@Okikisgm
@saint2ace
@Dollarnaira
And others🙏🙏
Don’t use PMW for li-ion. Get MPPT or buck converter.
PMW only works well with deep cycle batteries.

me if you are interested in buying Acura MDX 2011, I used the car when I came back Nigeria last year and since then, is been parked at my house, with maintenance services.
Am selling cos am not even sure of coming to Nigeria this year, so no need to park.
Price is very ok and car is of course in precinct condition, I bought it myself directly in USA.
Unfortunately the car is only available for anyone in the East, especially Aba or Owerri because I can not get to ask someone to take it to Lag or anywhere else since I don't have anyone to trust with it. Except the buyer is ready to travel go check it out.
me for further enquiries and details.
PS: this is not a distress sale o, am even discouraged to sell it sef, but if offer is good, y not.
How much? I have 2008, I want to swap.
