A very close friends application has been decided since 11th of July, 2022.

Up until now, her application is yet to be transferred to VAC.

She visited the VAC Centre last week and was told that her port isn't ready and she should wait for a mail b4 coming back again.

She has done paid calls and mails, all to no avail. Her case was escalated last week when she called and she was told to wait for 15working days.

Omoh, my friend is really depressed, even when I called her today, she was just crying over the phone.

Please who can assist, what can be done??

Her biometrics was 29th June, V.I. TLS.

I submitted on 01-06-2022, I received non straight forward mail on 20-06-2022, sent paid mail on 22-06-2022 showing decision has been made. I got a refusal mail today.

Sorry about this, the NSF mail you got on 20/06/2022, was it an "Empty NSF" or they requested you to submit a document or something, did you respond?

Does she need her port to travel elsewhere? Otherwise she should please be patient

She will hopefully get her port before the end of the escalation timeframe

Thanks for the response Duchess. She needs it to travel to Dubai for a conference trip coming up on August 5th (next week).

It's just quite worrisome that people who did bio same day and afterwards have gotten their port back.

Escalations are done when it is past the recommended decision wait times,for student visa (3weeks) dependants (3-6weeks)

When you make a paid call or send a mail and you are advised it is still awaiting decision inform the representative on the phone that it is past the wait time and you will want this escalated, sometimes it is done automatically without requesting

Pls what can be done if decision has been made on an application and there is delay in movement to VAC.

She is a Single Applicant.

10 working days has ed and an escalation was done yesterday (Tuesday), only for the applicant to receive a mail that it has been escalated and she should wait for 15working days before ing UKVI.

All she wants now is her port, decision has been made over 2weeks now.

Is there anything that can be done on this?

It’s been a long and bumpy journey but God has been good to me.
Applied for a visiting visa and got denied in October 2021 for lack of evidence of sources of funds and travel history.
Started the student visa process immediately with hopes of japa-ing in January.
I’m a third class holder and didn’t want premasters because of the funds involved so I started applying to different schools, Coventry was the first to give me ission but the fees was just too high. Oxford Brooke’s followed with Birmingham city uni and I chose Oxford Brooke’s because it was direct masters for management in health and social care with 13,900 tuition fees. Paid the tuition deposit and then they refused me cas because I declared my previous visa refusal to their Isat, they said they were afraid I will get another refusal. I was so devastated cos at the them they did this, I had already missed Coventry’s deadline(Dec 18th). I already had my tb test result and had to start all over applying to schools and looking for Jan start. I eventually got University of west London and sunderland the same time. Sunderland also refused me cas because of my previous visa refusal. I had to go UWL even with the 10k deposit required. Did their precas interview and ed but they too denied me cas because of my previous visa refusal! At this point I didn’t know what to do again, time was going, pof was ready and only cas remained. I now sent them a very lengthy mail explaining myself and situation that moved them and they offered me a deferment instead to June as I wasn’t going to be able to make January start when they responded. They gave me a new offer and issued my cas on the 9th of April.
Biometrics was on the 11th of April
1st paid mail 11th of may, no decision made
Got slammed with NSF mail requesting nothing on the 13th of May
Second paid mail 17th of May no decision
Third paid mail 24th of may, decision made
Application transferred to VAC on the 26th of May
Collection mail same 26th
Picked up today
Tls-VI
Documents submitted: cas, pof, waec certificate, port data page and bsc certificate(self service).
5years study gap.
