Please oo I still genuinely want to know. What was the essence of removing subsidy and were is the money for the subsidy being paid initially? This question might seem not relevant at this point but it is the reason we are suffering heavily today. Also the refineries are not working what exactly is happening cos all I see here is SCAM

In a layman's term, N500 was saved from subsidy removal while N2000 was incurred as debt from floating the Naira.

So the net effect is minus - N1500. So instead of saving through subsidy removal, we are loosing heavily.

This why the govt is borrowing more, taxing imports, electricity and everything to meet up with the wound it inflict on itself without proper guidance.

Now you can see that there is no hope under this government. All those propaganda will not rescue the economy. We have to face the reality on ground.

Well, my advice to you now is don't focus your attention on getting job. Rather focus on getting a digital skill. All these training ads you are seeing on Facebook are good. If God help you to choose the right one, by December this year, you be smiling and probably have some people working for you. You will then look for me to thank me.

So if Obi had contested with Tinubu head to head Obi would've won? And I thought mpuri mriri is not stronger than cocaine. Lolz. Thanks for the laugh, by the way. Next level delusion.
You're the one that is deluded. Conduct free election and let's see who is Tinubu.
What happened in Abuja and Lagos where the international observers concentrated to avert rigging?

Those 6million votes Obi got were votes that would normally have gone to Atiku like they did in 2019

If Obi didn't fragment PDP votes in 2023, it would have been almost impossible for Tinubu to win
Stop this senseless narrative. Was the post of presidency meant for only Tinubu and Atiku.
It is your type that would work for 50 years in one company because you are afraid of the unknown. 18 persons contested for president and it was only Obi's vote that stopped Atiku. So whose vote stopped Obi or you think that he has to right to win.

2019 never existed?

Obi got 6 million votes in 2023 despite people like you mocking his canopy rally, saying he won't get up to 1 million votes.

If Atiku didn't run in 2023, Obi would have won with a landslide.
You're very correct. I don't know why they are not looking at it this way as if the post of presidency is meant for only Tinubu and Atiku.

Not true. Just saying that Nigeria did not qualify for world cup because Benin republic did not beat South Africa. Are you making sense?
Obi has every right to contest. You should rather blame the G5 governors of PDP the refused to work for their party.

Good one, but some things are still missing.
1. When thugs disturb the voting in a unit or snatch the ballot boxes, nothing usually happen. The INEC would just look the other way. This is not good. There should a law that the votes from every unit must count. If a pooling unit is attacked by thugs, the result should be withheld until the elections are reconducted in the pooling unit. (Those in Lagos should understand this more.)
2. Vote buying is another problem the law can handle if the choose to. Vote buying should be criminalized, any person caught with evidence should be disqualified from the election. INEC and the law should show the way. It is easy to stem vote buying.
I strongly the digitalization of the collation of results and real time transitions from the pooling unit with time bound. Any results not received within 30 minutes of voting conclusion should be checked.

The Man TINUBU has never lost any political war as always envisaged by his enemies

Do you FFK Article "It is finished for Tinubu" in 2021 when Oshiomole was removed as APC Chair and Ajimobi that was supposed to replace him died. Where is Tinubu today?(even against all the pre-2023 elections obstacles)...where is Oshiomole?...where are Gaidom,Fayemi, maechi &Co that plotted the removal
Trash as usual. As at yesterday, Tottenham FC has never won a competitive UEFA cup in their history, but they won it yesterday.

He could chose to call it something else but not shadow u govt.

Even if Obi was the president and a Tinubu that I love so much creates such I will bash Tinubu.

If the country wants vastly improved power supply, its citizens must be ready to pay cost reflective rates for it.

We may not like it but that's what is needed. The FG owing Genco's 4tr is because power is heavily subsidized. I think it is only Band A that is cost reflective.
Man, if you see the kind of inefficient that goes on in this power sector, you will not be talking of cost reflective.
Take it anywhere, electricity is cheap. It is not a thing that worry people in other countries.

Pls can you explain insurance to me. What does it really mean. Not just for only cars, but for other things also.
I want to really know the meaning of insurance. Thank you.

Okay, I don't know where to start because it is very broad.
Insurance is a provision that one makes to replace an item that is valuable to him in case of lost or damage..
If you have an item you valued like a house, car, jewelry, anything.
You will need to approach an insurance copy to insure it for an amount that would enable you to replace the item when lost, stolen or damaged.
The insurance coy will value the item and told you how much you will pay to them monthly or yearly as the case may be.
The insurance can be for a definite time or indefinitely.
Then once the agreement is signed by you and the insurance coy, it becomes effective. If you lost the item within one month of taking the insurance, the insurance coy pay you the agreed amount. But if the item doesn't loss or damage the insurance company keeps the money you paid for themselves.
If you insure something for ten million Naira, you will be required to be paying something like 5 thousand to the insurance company every month. If the thing you insure against did not happen, the insurance company keeps the money. if it happens at any point , they pay you the agreed amount
You can insure property, your life and the life of your children and wife, goods in transit and many other things.
You can drop your email for detailed lecture on insurance, the various types and how they work.

EPIJOE:
Did you have car insurance, the third party covers theft too. Just report to your insurance company, you would get at least 70% of your loss back.
No, it doesn't work like that. Third party doesn't cover theft.
Note, third party is for the other person who may involve in an accident with you. It is not for you that pay for the insurance.
Note also that insurance is specific. Accident is different from theft. It is only comprehensive that covers all in one.

Interestingly, the girl that was in the picture the man referred to used to be in an IDP camp in the North and she is from Adamawa State.

But some people are quick to call others tribalist even when they gave one man from their own region over 90% of their vote, while the ones they call tribalist only gave their own kinsman around 50%.
Interestingly , in 1999 those people gave OBJ over 90% of their votes and were not labelled tribalist. They did it again for OBJ in 2003.
In 2007, they gave over 90%of their votes to Yaradua and were not labelled tribalist.
In 2011, they did so for GEJ and were not labelled as tribalist.
But in 2023, when they gave the same 90% to the person they believe in who happens to come from their region, they were labelled as tribalist. double standard.
Check yourself , you will know the real tribalist in Nigeria.

It's funny how you all can identify the wickedness of APC and Tinubu but can't see the rottenness and failures in your various states, despite the fact that states and LGAs get 60% whenever allocation is shared
This is nonsense propaganda. There is different between real income and nominal income. Go find out the difference before you begin to spin nonsense. According to you their income is 60% but you forgot to add that their expenditures increased by 200%. So what have they gained?
Simple maths convert the new allocation to the states in dollar and tell us how much it is and do same under Buhari and GEJ . That's the only we can understand you.

You are very correct. They don't know. There is nothing like saving from subsidy removal rather Tinubu used his unguarded floating of the Naira to wipe away the savings.
He ended up paying more in debts servicing.
Now he came back to subsidy payment and managed float after doing much damage. He has borrowed more than Buhari to manage the problem he caused but some ignorant people says that he is making reforms. Truth is Nigeria is in a deep mess.

Saying it doesn't mean doing it because they said the thing when they increased NYSC allowee to ₦19,800 in 2011 also in 2019 when it was increased to ₦33,000 so tell me why should anyone believe NYSC DG? After announcing the increment in 2011 and 2019 they didn't start paying till after 6 months or there about. Those that were still in service and had about 6 months remaining as at the time of the announcement didn't get to receive the increment and still were not paid the arrears even after their final parade. I'd be surprise of they pay the arrears.
For de people wey dey affected, make una no put mind for de money ooo, if de money come, fine if en no come fine and life goes on.

When we serve in 1993, our allowee was N350.
It was later increased to N700. Then after 3 months, the NYSC paid us all the arrears. It was reasonable then. So I trust that The NYSC istration will do the right thing. Mind you they are mainly military personnel, so trust them.

I still do not understand how folks who are against the quest of the US government to bring productivity back home expect the average American to afford the goods they produce abroad in perpetuity.

Who has been able to square the circle of not producing yet affording stuff when we clearly know that America is racking up monumental debts with countries like China and other so called 'cheaper' producers, aka lower living standards countries.

The average household debt or personal debt in America is rising steadily. Shouldn't this concern the rest of the world that this global market place, this global dumping ground is going bankrupt.

Now to the average American. Is it fair that you want to earn some of the highest, uncompetitive wages on earth and yet want to shop in 'bush' markets instead of at high end arcades.

This is the crux of the matter, a battle for the structural integrity of the global economy. Santa Claus is dying.
You are missing the point. Positive economic reforms are gradual in a step by step manner.
You cannot wake up and start to fight the whole world at the same time in the name of reform. Believe me it can not achieve anything.
Just like how Tinubu is destroying Nigeria from all angles in the name of reform.
Trump should take one step at a time if he wants to achieve any positive impact.
EXPRESSSMAN(m): 8:15am On Apr 06
JASONjnr:

As a foreign observer, I believe President Trump's economic policies, particularly his tariffs, are a strategic move to boost the US economy. The Trump tariffs aim to level the playing field for American businesses and workers by imposing taxes on imported goods. This approach has both ers and critics, but it is designed to protect US industries, generate revenue, and stimulate domestic production and investment. While the tariffs may lead to higher prices for consumers and reduced economic growth in the short term, they can also be seen as a negotiating tool to secure more favorable trade agreements with other countries. The tariffs imposed on China, Canada, and Mexico, as well as those on steel and aluminum, are specific examples of this policy in action. Overall, Trump's tariffs are a complex and multifaceted policy aimed at promoting American economic interests.
No, you are missing the point. Trump's tarrif will not achieve any positive things because it was done in bad faith. Just like Tinubu waking up to say subsidy is gone without any government on ground.
Nation's upgrade their tarrif gradually every time to achieve some economic objectives, but targeting the whole world at the same time in this bravado style in a huge joke.
, no matter how big you are, if you cook for the whole world, the will finish it, but if the whole world cooks for you, you can't finish it.
Trump need to be called to order.

How much was this Bishop paid to spew this nonsense!

A young man,a student of ESUT, was hacked down by Fulani herdsmen when he went to assist the mother with farm works. That was about two weeks ago. He lost his father to same herdsmen about Three years ago.

Others too have died. The women came en masse to protest Fulani herdsmen killings in Enugu state, especially Eha Amufu communities. As I am writing, many are killed, displaced.

It's therefore ungodly for this Bishop to come and defend nonsense killings at Enugu state. The Truth is that the Governor has lost it. Can't protect the state because he is a lackey of the establishment. Very fearful.

He should resign if he can't protect the state from Fulani marauders.

Enough is enough 😉

Didn't the bishop mention the student's death.
He said there was no mass killing. How difficult is it to understand what he said?
