Tinubu did something and the country turned upside down. He needs to UNDO it.
That he is cutting down an Iroko tree or climbing the the mountain Everest for the country is not our concern.
Subsidy removal or floating of the Naira, one must be withdrawn for there to be peace in the country.
Tribal hatred, empty threats, hero worshipping, propaganda and sycophants will not achieve anything for him.

You cut down an Iroko tree and climb mountain Everest. How has this affected the masses? This is the issue at stake which non of them have addressed.

Whenever I did the wrong thing with my computer, I have to UNDO it before it can work properly again.

Tinubu did something and the economy turned upside down. He has to UNDO it to reset the economy.
Cutting down Iroko trees and climbing mountain Everest is not the solution.

I am a er of BAT and I fully everyone that intends to come out to protest peacefully.

No matter the hardship an average Nigerian goes through, people in Governemnet can NEVER understand the extent of hardship. This is because they are spending public money. It is ONLY a protest like this that can make them understand how bad things are.

As much as I have fate in BAT, I still strongly believe that he could do better than this. Better in the aspect of finding sustainable ways to ease hardship while we work on securing the future of Nigeria and Nigerians. It is paramount that Nigerians want to survive first, na perosn wey survive today go dey hope for bright future.

All these palliatives are not sustainable in any way, it is just a waste of resources. Those 2 major policies of subsidy removal and Naira floating cannot work at the same time. One must be dropped.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Thank you for understanding the issues at stake. All the tribal bigots and their illiterate government are beating about the bush.
The truth as you captured it is subsidy removal and floating of Naira must not go together. One must be dropped if Tinubu wants to make any progress.
If he like let him share one billion Naira to every Nigerian, nothing will work.
I said it somewhere here and one tribal bigots was cursing me.
I still wonder why CBN and all the ministers and the F EC, special Advisers, Heads of depts are not seeing this simple logic to help Tinubu out of the rope he ignorantly tied himself.
Floating of Naira should be dropped if Tinubu wants to make any progress QED.

Your case is very real. You are not the only one going through this type of marriage. Only a few persons can understand what is involved.
You have tried, but it is still not working.
My advice is for you to refocus. You need to bring some changes to your home. If you are not working before, try to find some work that will be taking you away from the house . If you are working, try to involve in new activities that will take away from the house most times like a choir, start learning a new skill. Don't be focusing much on him or being available to him every time.
When you refocus, he will be the one to call for dialogue.

And here we see a brilliant exposition from one of the finest graduates of the North Korean school of economic punditry. It's impressive how you've managed to pack so many wrong-headed, economy-destroying suggestions into so few lines! All one has to do to understand Nigeria's economic predicament is understand that all the gibberish you've written is what es for "intelligent", "mainstream" opinion in this prison cage of 200 million ignoramuses.

I did not even understand what you are trying to say. If you disagree with me, you can then put up your own suggestions and theories as well. The era of fake and ambiguous talks are over. Tinubu's government is in trouble. What are your own suggestions?

Dear Daily Trust, You all media are also part of the problem.. you will see white and still call it black.. because the crooked government for obvious reasons has repeated it that it is black so many times.

What Tinubu has done was not subsidy removal but price hike so that they can have more money to share..

When he announced 'subsidy is gone'.. NNPC fhe sole importer quickly adjusted their pump price to N537.. just about 1dollar then.. but when the government went further to devalue the Naira senselessly in the name harmonising the exchange rate, the BDC Black Marketers started shifting upwards as well and the CBN then without a clearcut strategy started chasing the Black Market rate at a point even overtook them until they were able to use EFCC to scare the black marketers.. we all ended up at 1600/$ today. So you see what has happened, the government had gone on a merry-go-round and landed everyone at an even difficult position than they met.. now they have to pay the difference in the pump price because the people simply can't pay in full even as they have pushed the pump price to over N800/L from N190 they met it..

What government in their right senses would allow increase in pump price of fuel by over 400% in one year.. all the name of a phantom subsidy.. even when they know they have no plan to fix the refineries..

in all of the President and his handler's speeches about this current planned protest, not a single mention of plan to open the refineries on time.. that was deliberate. They have no plan to open any refineries so that their Malta companies can sell and they can pay the so-called subsidies to themselves.

Even Dangote who just open a Refinery has to learn the hard way and started selling the crude that he imported... because he understood that there is no plan to allow anybody sell anything internally for now..
What right thinking leader would self-sabotage his own country's companies that could employ hundreds of thousands of people just so he could collect money from Importation. Why do Nigeria leaders think so narrowly and selfishly.. It's almost been like a culture for all the people have led this country, at the expense of the common masses.

You all media should learn to call a spade a spade..there is nothing like subsidy removal for now in this country.

Reality.
The only way to go now is for the government to cancel the floating of Naira. They should go back to pegging the exchange rate , then use import licensing, exchange control and other methods the CBN may deem fit to manage it.
The CBN are just wasting time dwelling on interest rate.
successive governments have tried this float at pilot level and withdrew when they saw the impact.
No need beating about the bush. The floating should be cancelled if Tinubu and his team want to be serious.

This may not be the real situation.
Even if Dangote sells at international price, what about the freight, insurance and other logistics component of the price. By the time you remove them, the price will lower significantly.
Besides, If NNPC sells crude in Naira to Dangote, they will buy the refined oil in Naira. So there is nothing to panic about.
Let's wait for Dangote to start selling first.

You're free to run to your echo chambers to get the so called answers that deceive you. i answered you clearly by saying to be patient about FG policies or scrutinizing your own state government for faster impact. Governance is not magic. There's no "fast" way to removing the impact of subsidy removal and flotation.

Did you know that Gen Abacha increased the price of petrol from 80k to N11 and the economy did not turn upside down. Can you figure out how many percent increase was that.
Did you also know that Obj increased the price of the same petrol up six times during his reign . Again the economy did not turn upside.
Both GEJ and Buhari also increased fuel price without destroying the economy.
They all planned and consulted
The Agboro style of PBAT is the real problem. His body language says that he has nothing to offer.
Again if you know the difference between micro and macro policies, you will not be talking of state governments.
Give PBAT 20 years, nothing will change. It will only get worse. You cannot not give what you don't have.

Was the country doing well before May 29, 2023? No. Nothing was turned upside down. The thing that happened though was that fuel subsidy was removed and the currency floated. These are two things that people have been calling for for years but there was no one with the courage to do it, because of the implications like what we are currently experiencing. All the major candidates promised to do these teo things during election campaigns. Only ignorant people like you did not know that it will be this painful. Stop letting politicians decieve you about an easier way out.
Your state governors have the power to connect your life to good more easily. Ask them to do better in your state and local governments. They will touch you faster than FG. If you have patience, wait for FG instead.

Have you heard about what is going on in the health sector, have you heard about student loans being rolled out? Have you heard about consumer credit? Have you heard about the different times grains and palliatives have been distributed (which is not a good way to solve problems from previous experience)? The Palestinians have been oppressed, harassed, humiliated, despised and discriminated by Israel for long.

The psychology and mentality of the average Palestinians has become toxic and wired against Israel due to the treatment over the years. The Palestinians have made mistakes and attacked a superior power in the person of Israel and they have been decimated. However, the mentality of hatred, anger and elimination towards Israel remains with them and perhaps will be transferred to future and younger generation.

This is not good for peace, league of nations
and international community. Someone or some people has/have to stop this killings and destruction of lives and properties.

The war between Israelites and Palestinians must be stopped with sustainable peace in focus. How?

The solution is an independent Palestinian nation as we have an independent Israel nation. The respect of international laws, ethics and understanding between the both nations in their relationship with themselves and other nations in the world.
You don't know the history of that region well. You said that Israel were the ones harassing the Palestinians.
The Palestinians occupied that land before the present Israel were resettled there from all over Europe in 1948. The Palestinians resisted the resettlement till this day. They started the war against Israel from the first day the first set of people landed.
The attack of 7 October by Hamas was not a mistake as you claim. it has been happening since 1948 and Israel always reacted they way they are doing now.

It is up to the league of nations, the will eventually be a Palestine nation.

Mark my words today.

You and Israelites can fight it but you will not succeed.

The Palestinians missed it in 1948. At that point, UN proposed the two states solutions and even allocate a larger part of Jerusalem to them. They refused thinking that their Arab brothers would help them to flush out Israel. That did not happen. Israel turned the table against. As of today, they have been completely pushed out of Jerusalem.
They just exist in Gaza and some scattered settlement outside Jerusalem. Is that where they will form the State of Palestine.
