jamace: Peace and war have been in existence from time imo river. Our ancestors fought to safeguard their kingdoms. History is rife with such stories. Therefore, whether we like it or not, nations will continue to experience both internal and external wars from time to time. The life of every nation is just like a man traversing landscapes, it will meet hills and valleys along the way. Hate it or like it, war comes after peace and vice versa. As it was in the beginning so shall it be world without end.

So if Nigeria becomes embroiled in war, it is nothing new, it is only fulfiling lives journey.

Ghana has been proud of been in peace since the beginning of time. And there are some many great nations that have not experience war as well. People learn from the past, I think that Nigeria Civil war is enough lesson to learn from. The great heroes are the heroes of peace not hero of war, War will never bring good things to Nigeria. I love Nigeria and I'm very proud to be a Nigerian. We must remain united to be great nation, one day you will say that I said it. Nigeria will be great and best in the world in no distant time.

JaaizTech: Thought I should Share:

The Menace Called Boko Haram (BH) –
Abidemi Babaolowo Oderinlo WARNING: THIS DOCUMENT CONTAINS
DAMAGING TRUTH ABOUT THE PRESIDENCY, CAN, BH AND THE RELATIONSHIP THAT EXIST BETWEEN THEM.
If there is anything I have learnt in my short stint on earth as a Nigerian, it is how to solve problems because there are just too many and
solving them means survival. If there is one unique way of doing it that I have discovered, it is identifying the source and cutting the
supply off. The spate at which BH has been unleashing its menace on innocent harmless Nigerians got me so frustrated and concerned
as well, the freedom with which they carry out their raving attacks that last for hours without being checked is gradually pushing me
out of the realm of sanity, and I can imagine things getting worst if something is not done. I began to ask questions, searching through the
pages of Nigerian history to see if the past has
faced a similar, and if it has, maybe it can help solve the problems of the present and prevent this cancerous phenomenon from
stemming into the future. History gave me a lead when I came across the word “Mai-Tatsine” (The one who damns); here is a link
to the truth about the sect CLICK HERE. I dug deeper, hoping to find the root of the matter, hoping the source will still be in control and in
a position to stop the menace, but what Ifound was heavier and revealing, the truth has been in the open all along. Don’t be
surprised, the source of BH that I found is one that you’ll least expect, it’s the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), perhaps it is
nemesis of CAN’s role that is catching up with the church. THE ORIGIN Mai Tatsine is perhaps the older version of BH led by Muhammad
Marwa, a movement that began its reign of terror in Kano and other parts of Northern Nigeria in the late 50’s. Like BH, the ideology
of “western education is a sin and technological advances are a pollution of the sanity and culture of the Nigeria state”. Stuffs
like radio, wristwatches, television etc were regarded as “haram” in those years probably because they were the definition of technology
or perhaps western influence in the 50’s. Over 8000 lives were lost in battles between the sect and the Nigerian state between 1960 and
1984. THE SOURCE I know a lot of people will find it hard to believe this, but I have listened to it myself although the lecture was
delivered in Hausa language and if the records are correct, Professor Dauda Ojobi, is a former secretary of Northern Christian
Association of Nigeria (CAN), a retired Professor in Benue State University faculty of Law, the 3rd Reverend Father from northern
Nigeria, after Paul Gindiri, and Ganaka. He is the first Nigerian overseer of Baptist Church in Kaduna, and One time commissionerof Justice in Bauchi State. “Marwa Maitatsine, was a Christian until his death. Back in 1954,there were series of meetings by the highest
body of Christian association in the northern Nigeria, in Jos, which I happened to be the secretary, taking the minutes of that meeting
(then, I was an undergraduate student of Christian Theology). Part of the resolve of that meeting was, to sponsor some people among
‘us’ to go to Arab countries as new Muslim converts, and learn Arabic and Islam. Their mission is to come back to Nigeria as Muslims
clerics, use their Islamic knowledge to preach violence, distort original Islamic teachings and if possible cause a riot in the North that will
make northern Nigeria a history. Five people were nominated for the job, and sent to Sudan to start their mission. Three of them
refused to come back and execute their plan, but spent the rest of their lives in Sudan as true Muslims. The remaining two; Muhammad
Marwa and Birema came back, Marwa was sent to Kano, and Birema was sent to Niamey Niger Republic.” Prof. Ojobi also made this
submission in the “Anya Goru ” set up by Shehu Shagari, to investigate the crisis then, but when Shagari saw the report, he ordered
that the white paper should not be issued because it may result to more crises. Prof. Dauda is still alive, Shagari is still alive andthe leadership of CAN is very aware of this fact and had never denied it. My assumptionat first was that the extermination programme
of CAN went out of control because their mules became too powerful and broke the leach, I
probably might be wrong because even in
recent history, a relationship still exists
between CAN and the new breed of Mai Tatsine
called Boko Haram in the flesh, blood and
bone of Prof. Jerry Gana, a chieftain of CAN.
This new chaotic Order was initiated by
Muhammad Yussuf, and before his extra-
judicial killing by the police, he was bailed
from custody every time he was arrested for
extremist activities that posed a threat to
national security by Prof. Jerry Gana, and
this happened severally. I have the feeling
Yussuf was killed because he started saying
things he wasn’t supposed to say so they had
to shut him up. Rumour had it that the last
call on the phone recovered from him was to
his and CAN Chieftain Jerry Gana,
more like a quick call to the boss for a rescue
operation when the cops came calling. Yussuf’s
killing sparkled the venom we have now in BH,
a bitter sect, hell bent on avenging their
leader and DE-westernizing Northern Nigeria
(at least for now). Perhaps I am no longer
surprised that certain groups are accusing GEJ
of being the one fending BH, he’s still
patronizing Jerry Gana the supposed prime
suspect according to this my discovery,
probably I am not the only one aware of it,
and I believe a lot more people should be
made aware of it so we can know where to
face and who to ask for the way on the road
that leads to finding BH, and eliminating it
from the root. A more recent activities still
points in the direction of the President GEJ. A
letter supposedly sent to Times and
other media houses by wendellsimlin@y
ahoo.com was traced to his special adviser
Reno Omokri on 26th Feb. 2014. The phony
document was created by Reno on behalf of
GEJ with the sole aim of implicating the
suspended CBN governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi
for complicity in the recent activities of the
insurgent but was burlesqued by his own digital
signature on the document. According to
Times “The document’s digital
signature shared a 100 percent resemblance
with that of others TIMES had
received from Mr. Omokri in the past. The
document was created by Mr. Omokri or
someone else who used his Hewlett Packard
computer at 10:01 on Wednesday. Sixteen
minutes after it was created, the document
was printed and revised once before it was
sent out at 11:54 using the Wendell Simlin’s
email address. The email was sent out using
the Nigerian government’s official internet
service provider, Galaxy Backbone, from
Abuja, Feyi Fawehimi who first investigated
the mail told TIMES.” Why are we
still looking for the source? With this action
alone, it is a clear that the President
Goodluck Jonathan-led istration would
rather reap politically from the violence than
end it, no wonder he responded rudely to the
complaint of Borno governor about the
lackluster approach of the military in Borno
State with this sloppy statement at the media
chat. “If we pullout the military from Borno
state, let us see if he (governor of Borno
state) will be able to stay in the government
house,” Reno Omokri should be arrested
immediately; it is evident that he knows
something about BH because if in his attempt
to implicate SLS, he decided to share details
about BH coordinated activities, he definitely
knows something or someone in BH and should
be charge for complicity, treason and for the
mass murders that occurred in the last few
days, at least those were covered in the
document he created from his laptop. The
senate should not continue to sit and sleep but
act in the best interest of Nigeria. ... The hand writings are on the wall and they are in capital letters, I hope they point
us in the direction of how to end the menace
of BH. Now we know the truth, I hope we will
allow it to set us free. The aim of this outcry is
to stop # JosMassacre # YobeMassacre
# BornoMassacre # AdamawaMassacre and to
demand from them # WhereIsOurMoney. Here’s

Anyway what you have is facts but not evidence. I hate it when people start directing this BH issue to Buhari, GEJ, OBJ etc. BH issue is national problem not for any region or religion or parties, do you think that good number of Nigerians in other states are happy that BH is killing people in the North. If you like go to any law court and insult judge or criticize judges opening in the public or media about their court proceedings and see if they will allow you to move freely without paying your fine. I will tell my 6yr old daughter about Biafra she will tell it to her own daughter

Biafra lives on

Biafra isn't the answer to Nigeria
Biafra is the answer igbos seek

We are not minority, rather we are majority. Our people have started reasoning well but few are still making the mistakes that our poor men and women did in 1967. We have reasons to denounce Biafra, Biafra and its founder did not bring any good things to Igbos before, during and after the civil war. The war was built out of pride, greed and selfishness. Even today I see the same thing with the MASSOB and their leaders. I was once a MASSOB member due to my parents was telling me how they fought during the war and what was their dreams if Biafra could stands but at a time I started doubting the intentions of the people seeking for sovereign state of Biafra. MASSOB goes to shops and houses to collect monthly dulls from poor men and women by force. Their leaders tell a lot of lies and use that medium to extract money from people. Any state built with lies can not holed or stand or progress. Ojukwu asked our people to change their money to Biafran pounds which all did but today what has happened to the money that Ojukwu collected from Igbos to change to Biafran pounds which has not be recognized anywhere in the world. What has happened to those money that he took from our people, my father's Biafran pounds are still intact so tell me where I can change them or will you tell me the same story that once Biafra emerge the money will be used. Know it now that Ojukwu defraud all the Igbos and used the money to buy almost half of IV and Cameron. You can continue inciting hates into your little and innocent girl but she will find out the truth someday at the time she start making her own research about the truth behind this Biafra of a thing. Ojukwu has no history of putting any hospital or School or anything that has brought anybody employment in Igbo land all is about Biafra war. Ojukwu did not develop any place in Igbo land, he is just selfish and prude of himself.

Please explain the freedom that you want as an Igbo man. Stop letting people deceive you in the name of Biafra. No one is intimidating you or arresting you or are you dying of hunger? You are not bound of doing anything that is legal in this Nigeria. Just be careful with those people telling you that Biafra has oil and so on without telling you where our food stuffs and meats are coming from. Those fraudsters want you to fight for them because they as the leaders will be controlling those oil and share it among themselves leaving poor citizens empty handed. Can you tell me where Ojukwu build school or hospital in Igboland or where he has created employment for Igbo youths with all the Tollgate money he had collected from the east. So don't they see how obvious it is that they know 100% that their dream of keeping an Incompetent man in the Presidency is never gonna be realized with all their so called votes that they claim brought him to power, so their only hope now is to resort to media smear campaigns against various

Catholic Bishop: Antigay Attitudes 'Sick' and 'Heartless'
Mexican bishop Raúl Vera once again speaks out strongly on behalf of LGBT people.
BY TRUDY RING
JULY 15 2014 3:00 PM ET

Bishop Raúl Vera
Mexican bishop Raúl Vera, one of the strongest advocates for LGBT people within the Roman Catholic Church, is speaking out again, this time saying, “People who say homosexuals are sick are sick themselves.”
Vera, the bishop of Saltillo in northern Mexico, made the statement in an interview published Monday in the Spanish and Latin American newspaper El País. He did not go so far as to endorse same-sex marriage, but he took a more progressive stance than is common in his church.
The interviewer said, “Not long ago you baptized the daughter of a lesbian couple. What do you think about homosexuality?” Vera responded, “That is a topic that we have refused to address. The people who say homosexuals are sick are sick themselves. The Church needs to come to them not with condemnation, but with dialogue. We cannot cancel out a person’s richness just because of his or her sexual preference. That is sick, that is heartless, that is lacking common sense.”
The church’s official stance is that LGBT people deserve respect and comion, but it strongly opposes homosexual acts and same-sex marriage.
Vera also took a stance, similar to Pope Francis’s, that opposition to abortion and same-sex marriage should not be the church’s only priorities. He said he considers abortion murder, but added, “Abortion, just like same-sex marriage, has served us [as] subterfuge to tell ourselves that we in the Church have our morals. It is very easy to go against a woman who has an abortion, it poses no trouble and we have from the ultraconservative right. When there was a national campaign against abortion here, I organized rosary recitations to reflect on the defense of the lives of migrants, miners and women as well as the unborn. But we are hypocrites. It would seem that the only moral rules deal with condemning same-sex couples and abortions. You do that and you’re the perfect Christian.”
El País notes that in the past, Vera’s advocacy for oppressed people, including gay people and the poor, had gotten him into trouble with the church’s hierarchy. In 2011, when John Paul II was pope, the Vatican investigated Vera’s work with a gay group. But much has changed under Pope Francis’s leadership.
“For a long time, Raúl Vera was the Catholic Church’s black sheep, the old-fashioned left-winger,” the article reads. “But that was until the ideological earthquake represented by the new pope, Francis I, gave renewed relevance to his words. Now, other bishops are suddenly turning to Vera for guidance.”

We the Yorubas demand an unalloyed and undiluted APOLOGY from the igbos now! Against the agreement, igbos spared their own corrupt politicians during the 1966 Coup. Again, against the agreement, igbos invaded Ore (Yoruba Land) during the war, what a terrible and evil-minded traitors igbos are!
At Ore, they met their Water-Loo at the hand of common Yoruba hunters (the igbos soldiers cloths tenaciously clung to their flesh, became the same with their body, and attempts to pull it off teared their flesh, blood flowed and fear came upon them) they were then mercilessly slaughters like chickens.
That was their last attempt to ever try to take war to Yoruba Land.
igbos are the most deceitful and unreliable set of people on Earth. You'll enter into an agreement them but they'll surely stab you right at your back, guaranteed! Worst still, they'll try to play on your intelligence by alleging you of the exact evil they are obviously guilty of.
For 3 unforgivable offenses:
1.) Sparing their own currupt people during the 1966 Coup
2.) For again breaching agreement having the effrontery to enter Ore during the war
3.) Most important of all, for trying to play on the intelligence of the Great Yoruba people, by having the effrontery to demand for apology at all when they should have been using their mouth to wipe the floor begging the Yorubas for forgiveness.
We, the Yorubas demand an unalloyed and undiluted APOLOGY from the igbos now!

And herein lies the problem.

Nigeria is already at war.

But Nigerians have their heads in the ground. The violence and atrocities that happen in Nigeria on a daily basis, the casual cruelty that not only goes unpunished, but is EXPECTED--these things are so commonplace that Nigerians don't even realize how horrifying they look to outsiders. One of those things is the extra judicial killings mentioned in the OP. That's the official term for it, and it is a human rights violation. But Nigerians don't even realize it. That's how warped the country is.

Have you heard the saying that if you push a Nigerian to the wall, he will dig a hole into that wall? I wish Nigerians had the strength for a rebellion, but it will never happen. There is a culture of endurance that has sunk bone-deep into the country.

"It is well." "We are managing." "He tried." Those expressions can only be heard in Nigeria, and you can hear them multiple times a day. Is Nigeria not tired of suffering and failure?

You think that you will compare war with terrorists attacks, both are different things, at least people can eat, bath, sleep and think about tomorrow but in war the case is very different. If you are not in Nigeria no need for you to start imagining things from what you hear as if all are true. I'm not also in Nigeria but I visit home always and I have people who tells me what is really happening. Brother, it is not as bad as you imagine. There was a time it was arm robbing that was a major problem that Nigeria has but that was defeated after many years. There was a time kidnapping came to be a business in Nigeria but today it is a history. Now is time for terrorist and that will be defeated, we Nigerians are not cowards and stupids, we do not revolts because we understand that it takes some times to flush evils away. Just sit on a corner and watch what will happened at the end. We will get a permanent solution that will last forever on this terror just the way we implemented cashless policy that flushed kidnapping and stealing away from Nigeria. We are getting there soon. Nigeria is not at war and stop thinking so just because you believe what CNN and AJ is telling you.

THERE IS NO WAR IN NIGERIA. NIGERIA IS NOT AT WAR PLEASE.

Then if the Nigerian govt knows the Americans are crafty and because of that they (Naija FG) don't need them, why then did Nigerian govt go ahead and call on them for help? Makes no sense. If you are going to call on someone you don't trust for help and won't use their advice, then do us a favour, and don't call them at all thereby wasting their time in the process.

Correct yourself, US came on their own to help us, we didn't in any way asked them for help but they where playing politics with the missing girls and voluntary offered us help which we didn't fully accepted.

One question for you. How many terrorist organizations live and operate in the US?

Here's another one. Why does everyone in the world know the significance of the date 9/11?

America doesn't joke around with terrorists. At ALL.

All Nigeria's government can do is point fingers and complain about how hard it is. That's if it even says anything about it at all. Nigerians need to wake the hell up.

Your ruling class doesn't give a single hot damn about any of you.

No matter what your tribe is, what your religion is, what your state is, the sharks are eating you fish, while you quarrel amongst yourselves.

Brother if you have studied war you will know that you are trying to fuel war into our country. There is nothing good that comes out from killing somebody than war, and nothing good comes out from war during and after the war. Nigerians will never try to test war again in this country for any reason, war is worse than terrorism. We are not sleeping but we are watching, we know that Nigerians are going through hell at this moment but we are learning and we want to continue learning until our country becomes better and great, we shall not take violence into consideration. I know that you and that folk are not Nigerians, just keep watching we shall get there very soon, I mean very very soon. Nigeria will be better soon.

What happened in 9/11 is very large and every country offered sincere help to the United States but US did not offer any sincere help in other countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, Libya and Iraq, it is still very terrible for the citizens of these countries that I mentioned. They regretted calling US for help or accepting their help. What will I call someone that voluntary came to extinguish fire that is burning my house with a tank of gasoline which he called assistance rather than wickedness and terror. Brother please reason very well if you are truly a Nigerian, remove the hatred that this US and their controlled media has incited in your mind to avoid "If I had known I couldn't have started this". Syrians are seeing the heats coming out of revolting, do you want your house to be thrown down and you will be sleeping with your kids in a deserts without assured meals, no school for children, no electricity, not sure of living to see tomorrow, women are molested, people's flesh scattered everywhere, environment smelling like hell, no water to bath, no good drinking water, no joy, children and women abandoned to survival on their own, millions of women will become widows, children trapped and lost, home is lost no were to go, neighboring boarders are closed so no where to run, foreign help is lost, pregnant women will not have a place to deliver their babies, hospital is either empty or overflowed. War is revolt and revolt is war, they are different words that has the same unending stories.

Now i see ur point. U loose ur keys in ur house and u call ur neigbhour or better still an outsider to come look for it.
Naija govt lost those Chibok girls in Naija and not Chicago, so let Naija govt search for her girls by herself, and if they cant, they can at least try and cooperate with superior powers to ensure their speedy rescue.

NO!, you are wrong, Nigeria did not ask US for any help on the missing girls but US voluntarily begged Nigeria Government to allow them bring their troops, technology and strategies into the search of the missing girls which technology and strategies was granted. With all their technology and strategical help no girl was found. The only thing that US technology was enable to detect is the weakness of Nigerian military, they did not waste time in publicizing our weakness in all the media in the world which gave the BH more moral in destroying villages, more kidnapping of girls and women, more bomb blast here and there, proudly opening fire to police station and army barracks. So tell me what is good about their help when they have converted their help into inciting ourselves with more hatred against our government and soldiers so that we will revolt like Libya and Egypt. And they were very proud to announce to the public that they were unable to find and expose the BH weaknesses to aid our military in fighting the BH. Why are they pushing our government to allow them into our country without MOU. They ran away because Nigerian Government did not allow their troops to enter Nigeria without g MOU which they are finding it very difficult to accept. Now they are making all this statement without adding that our Government asked them to sign MOU before accepting their assistants. Just thank God that we have a wise man as president if not he could have stupidly sold us all into the hands of this wicked country that doesn't want the world to have peace just for their quest to continue ruling the whole world.

Nigerians are overly proud, with little reason. We have that reputation. If you ask any African to say one word about Nigerians, they will say "arrogant" or something similar. I have friends from Mauritius, Liberia, Ethiopia, Morocco, and they all know the stereotype.

So this story does not surprise me in the least. My mother once corrected her older brother's grammar and he never forgot it. Her own brother. Now imagine the way the ruling class would take criticism. Or Nigerian soldiers used to making civilians jump. I know they won't listen to anyone.

Neither do some of the comments in this thread surprise me. Nigeria is like a boy who, instead of being upset that his father is dancing naked in the street, is angry at the people laughing. They say the truth is bitter. We know the truth, but when someone outside says it, people feel insulted.

The folks you quoted is advising us to take up arms and enter Aso Rock and start killing, do you at your right sense such devilish acts that will worsen our problems. Is the folks you quoted not worse than the Boko Haram. How many years has it taken US to defeat Al-Qaida and other terrorists in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq etc, which they have not even completed one and all they know is to send troops to Nigeria to start committing torture, killings, supply of arms. If you love our country stop encouraging people like the folk you quoted.

The next step is to lead the way to Aso rock, bearing heavy arms. Goodluck!!!

Sincerely speaking you don't sound like a Nigerian or someone that really love this country, you are sounding like an enemy of our great nation. You want us to destroy our beautiful country with our own hands just like Libya and Egypt did on there country. Stop this provocation because it will not be easy for every Nigerians especially the poor masses to withstanding the outcome of the result from what you are advertising.

handsomeness: This story is quite incoherent. A while back we saw and heard the United States Secretary of Defence saying that the tactics the Boko Haram use is nearly quite alien to them. He motioned that while other extremist groups were using bank to bank transfers, phones and modern machines of warfare, the Boko Haram are using people to transfer their bulk monies, face to face for communication, cheap AK 47s and locally made bombs for warfare, hence, this has made it hard for them - the USA army - from intercepting the group's humane operation in Nigeria. Well, I think the USA army are doing their best, and would have done more if the political bottlenecks in this country won't stop giving them a hard time. Jonathan should SERIOUSLY do something about this fast. Me don't want this country to divide o.

We will divide if we allow this folks into our country. They are known for secret destruction, those folks are not friends as they claim. They are our real enemies, they must be avoided because they don't have good name as portrait.

vanstanzy: Some people here will be quick to defend their Naija govt. Lets tell ourselves the honest truth, we know how bad it is in govt circles, corruption, insensitivity and all.
Pls for the sake of integrity, which the Naija govt have never had, lets not treat this news with a pinch of salt.

Brother, are you a Nigerian. Please do not be deceived by this US and their strategies. They are here to destroy us all just like what they did to Libya, Egypt, Tunisia and others. Just imagine how it will be if we are at war just like Libya and Egypt, more atrocities, hunger, deaths (Millions will die), many people will be homeless, many children will lost parents and parents will lost their children in lager numbers. US is just trying all they can to promote and incite hatred between us and our government so that we will revolt and kill people for no just cost. The Nigerian military is trying all they can to help us but we are not there with them to know what they are going through. It may for now may not be up to our expectations but with time we shall see the outcome of the good Nigerians among them. Just know that those men and women in uniform are parents and children of human beings. Many of them are dead in fighting the BH for us. Do not light your house and expect some people to put it off for you. It is our responsibility to solve this problem internally. He who wears shoes knows where it is paining him, I have been against people painting Nigeria black in everything that our governments are doing, let us be wiser not wise.
