If you have a dependant at the time of your application please add them to your application and provide the relevant information

They will still need to apply for their visa separately

I am trying to apply for a graduate visa after filling all necessary information I got to a stage where I needed to include my partner details which I did however on the next page it asked me for additional applicant which I found confusing because I had already added my partner’s name to to where it was provided however on this next page what is confusing me is that am I supposed to add my dependant name on the additional applicant or not


Mind you I did add my dependant name but it was asking me questions about my dependant but I had to stop because it was confusing since my dependant is meant to do her own application separately.

This should be in English or a certified translation and for example be in the form of: Payslips / employment letters with details on them / bank statements with regular salary being deposited / employment contracts / further education certificates and should not just be a CV.

Your documents do not need to cover the entirety of the period referred to, but should be reflective of what you have done during this time. The decision maker will use this information to consider whether you meet the genuine student requirement of the Immigration Rules. If we have further questions, we may ask you to attend an interview, if you do not have any official documents, please provide a brief summary of why.

I didn’t cancel, I only discontinued but when I made my first paid call, the Ukvi officer said he would cancel the application from his end and initiate a refund process, calling back after 2 weeks, the process has not been initiated.

I am not a lawyer but can see why this could be confusing to the ECO


This reads like an adoption order, it also seems like the application was made by a couple.

If that is the case, the child dependant will need the second parent to apply for a dependant visa also.

If this application was only done by a single parent then resubmit the document and along with a cover letter to explain the situation clearly

I paid for ihs fee on the 10th of August this year, it was after payment I realized my mistake, so, I discontinued the application to start afresh. I made another ihs payment for the second application which was what I used for my visa. Now, I’m in the Uk, each time I call UKVi, I keep getting different information.

The first paid call was November 18, I was told it would be escalated. A follow up call showed there was no escalation and the agents kept referring me to the same number I dialled .

Today alone, I have called three times with no way forward.

$1235 will do something for me here in UK.

I really appreciate your response seun, No it wasnt an affidavit, it was a court document. please can you confirm if the sole responsibility document you submitted stated custodian/Resposibility because the lawyer keeps saying that is the format used in the court and it cannot be changed, and UKVI requested for only Sole Responsibility. And i have also read here that the document for custody is different from sole responsibility and should not be mixed up.

The problem isn’t what was checked, it is that an alleged falsified document was submitted in her application and therefore placed on a 10year ban

I just got the horrible news that my mom's UK visitor visa have been refused, and it looks like it is accompanied by a possible 10 years ban.
I live in the UK since 2020, I am Tunisian and German and my mom is Tunisian national.
It has been conviened that she will be sponsored by her husband, living with her in Tunisia. She provided her bank statements showing money that her husband has sent her. She have also attached bank statement of her husband proving the transaction and the sufficient funds as well as a letter from him as a sponsor. The application seemed strong as she provided multiple documents such as : birth certificate of all her kids, their attendance to school in Tunisia, proof of owning à house etc.
In the attached refusal letter, they state that the bank statement was a false document, which is a very serious accusation. It goes without saying that these statements came from her and her husband's bank, with the official stamp.
What caught our attention is the first paragraph outlining the reason. They state : "In of your application you have provided a statement purportedly issued by BIAT Bank, with an number ending XXXX which is in your name and is dated 31/10/23. Checks conducted by this office, contained in a DER and held on file, have concluded to a high degree of certainty that this document is not genuine." The issue here, is that XXXX is not her number , but her husband's !!!! So what happened here? Did they mismatched both bank statement (her husband is also at the same bank) It is clear that her bank statements that are under her name have the number YYYY and not XXXX.
This looks like a real ERROR from the end of the home office. Above all this, no way of appeal. Is it also an effective 10 years ban ?

These are serious allegations and could have really bad consequences. Can anyone advise us on what to do ?

Here’s a summary, please look through other dependant applications

1. Your BRP,student ID,CAS and proof of accommodation .Please note that the ECO may also request for your statement , if that is the case provide your bank statement and any invoices/receipts to show evidence of maintenance spent/fees paid in the UK

2. Her TB certificate , port, evidence of maintenance and evidence that your marriage is substantial (t bank statements, invoice/bills paid together, marriage certificate, the list is endless)

3. Your child’s TB cert,port, birth certificate and other evidence I.e letter from school or hospital, schools fees receipts etc

This is just an overview of documents you can submit

Self employed would mean she should have the relevant documents ie registration and tax

Is she retired and placed on a monthly upkeep?

That could be an easy way to go since you are fully sponsoring her visa.

Tailoring maybe something she does for fun not a source of income
