Popular comedian, Adesokan Adedeji Emmanuel a.k.a Shank Comics recounts how his father switched from being a Muslim to a Christian.
He made this known while speaking to a fan he met in the United States.
The fan had informed him that he thought he were Muslim like himself, however, Shank noted that he is a Christian.
However, he clarified that he has a Muslim name, Saheed, and his father used to be a Muslim.
He noted that his father had converted on the day a church gave him food while he was famished.
Shank said …
“My daddy was a Muslim. Then there was one time he was fucking hungry then one church gave him food, then he became a Christian. I swear to God, my dad is so cheap.”
I don't think it was the food that made your father convert from Muslim to Christian. His personal conviction made him do so.

For a family of 4 I spend close to 200k monthly on just feeding, we can no longer buy food stuffs the house because even if u take like 150k to buy food stuffs, u won't see anything.
I want to know if others are spending more or less and if there's a way around it.
Thanks
If you spend N200k on foodstuff, then
how much do you earn ? and
How much do you safe ?

Welldone Customs in Ogun state for a job well done.
I wonder what would be the total revenue that Customs would have generated from all the states of Nigerian by the end of December 2025
RandDigital: South Africans on social media rejected a pledge of collaboration Zulu King Misuzulu kaZwelethini signed with King Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Itsekiri Olu of Warri in Nigeria in Nongoma, KwaZulu-Natal on 16 May 2025.
According to Sunday World, Misuzulu and Atuwatse III signed the symbolic pledge of collaboration, and Misuzulu said the pledge was not a symbolic gesture but an awakening of ancestral bonds between the two nations. Misuzulu said the two nations, separated by boundaries, are united by kinship, legacy and both nations' roles as custodians of African heritage, culture and dignity.
Misuzulu said the purposeful meeting was born not out of convenience but a vision both nations shared to lead the Zulus and the Warri people into a future rooted in identity. He said both nations are ready to build trade and cultural relationships, and considered the engagement as a testimony of Pan African unity.
The Premier of KwaZulu-Natal, Thami Ntuli, announced that the royal house received R86 million annually, a 4.3% increase. The money is meant to assist Misuzulu's cultural roles. Misuzulu also reappointed Prince Thulani Zulu as his current spokesperson. Zulu left the position three years ago when he fell out of favour with Misuzulu after he ascended the throne.
WHAT DID SOUTH AFRICANS SAY?
Netizens commenting on Sunday World's Facebook post rejected the partnership.
Jacinta Zinhle MaNgobeswe Zuma asked: "Collaborate to do what?"
Anele Jones asked: "Why did God curse us with such spineless and stupid leaders? What did we do to deserve this? This so-called king doesn't even love people under his leadership."
Lutendo Mphidi Chi-anzi said: "He doesn't understand the tribe he leads. Unless he's doing it intentionally."
Matthews Maphalala asked: "Out of all the tribes, he chose Nigerians?"
Balebetse Seleka said: "I think the wrong man was chosen for the Zulu monarch.
Trevor Ndlela said: "The problem with our king is that he does not understand the tribe he leads."
Mavuso Lungelo Mawande said: "This country is out of control now. We have our domestic issues to sort out."
Some South Africans and their xenophobic mentalities. They still think they are in apartheid era after gaining independence. They have not learnt any lesson from
chidinma adetshina's success stories.
Their Zulu King is not xenophobic minded like them.

During a live chat with Peter of Psquare, Peller revealed that Netflix offered his girlfriend, Jarvis (whom he fondly calls his “baby”), a staggering N3 billion just for a kissing scene. However, he said he rejected the offer, stating that he loves her too much to allow it.
A surprised Peter asked for clarification: “3 million or 3 billion?” Peller confirmed it was indeed 3 billion naira and claimed he has proof — including a recorded video of the call.
When someone in the background asked him to play the video evidence, Peller responded, “No, I will respect the company.”
He further stated that he warned the company never to mention his baby again because of how much he loves her.
Peller also disclosed that Jarvis was once a YouTuber, but he made her stop. “I’m paying her good money,” he said, adding that Jarvis is his life.
The revelation has since sparked a wave of mixed reactions online, with s sharing various opinions about his claim.

By One Who Knows That No House Falls From the Outside Without Cracks Within
A gale is sweeping through Nigeria’s opposition — not the gale of power, but of desertion. And no party is bleeding faster than the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Every day, a governor jumps ship. Every week, a senator waves goodbye. And every month, a former stakeholder becomes a latter-day critic.
Yet the PDP’s first instinct is to blame the weather.
“They are being bought,” they say. “They are being threatened.” But when your roof keeps leaking, the question is not about the rain. It’s about your roofing sheet.
Let us speak plainly: what is wrong with PDP is PDP.
It is not Bola Tinubu. It is not the APC. It is not gale, wind, thunder, or political harmattan. It is the simple fact that a party once described as the largest in Africa now behaves like a ship without a com — and worse, without a captain.

Leadership is the first casualty. The PDP has not had a moral centre since Goodluck Jonathan conceded defeat. The party has drifted from one court case to another, with chairmen fighting like village kinsmen over a chieftaincy title — each faction more concerned with ownership than direction.
When history offered the PDP a golden moment — a chance to learn from its loss in 2015 and rebuild — it chose instead to pretend nothing happened. Like a man who wakes up in a burnt house and still searches for the TV remote.
By 2022, as the APC wrestled with fuel queues and Naira redesigns, the PDP had a golden opportunity to present a credible, united front. Instead, it stumbled into an ethnic war zone of its own making, mishandled zoning, insulted its Southern base, and handed the Labour Party an emotional advantage it never paid for.
And at the centre of this chaos is one man: Alhaji Atiku Abubakar — the perennial contestant, the familiar face on the wrong side of history. Atiku’s insistence on being the “last man standing” has become a bulldozer that crushes internal consensus. Rather than groom successors, he declares himself the only saviour left — like a prophet who refuses to leave the pulpit even as the congregation dwindles.
This is not ambition. It is addiction.
And now, the party groans. Governors leave, not because APC is perfect, but because PDP has lost its flavour. People do not eat saltless stew twice — no matter how nostalgic they are about the recipe.
What PDP needs now is not a press statement. It needs a mirror. It needs to look at its old mistakes: alienating the South, ignoring youth, mishandling internal democracy, running campaigns like inheritance.
Opposition is not a title. It is a discipline. It requires strategy, humility, and reformation. None of which PDP has shown since 2015.
So let the gale of defection blow. Let the rats flee. But when the house collapses completely, let no one blame the storm.
The termites were already inside.
In Nigerian politics there is no permanent friend or foe but permanent interest.
If a politician's interest is not achievable in PDP, the politician is at liberty to defect to either APC or LP in a bid to achieve his or her interest both at the federal and state levels

My friend told me that he attended a workshop back then and one of the things that was thought was using chicken poo which was named "black gold" to make fish feed.
I want to know, has anyone here successfully used such, I am just curious to know if such thing works or is there anyone here who provides such training.
Suppose some of the chicken is infected with newcattle disease and the contaminated droppings of the infected chicken is fed to the fish, wouldn't the disease be ed on though the contaminated droppings to the fish ?

I'm so tired of women only wanting sex from me. Why can't they see us for more than walking Love Machine's? Every time I meet a woman IRL I get filled with excitement, hoping that they are different. They never are.
I imagine a world where woman are capable of love, romance and affection. A world in which I receive handwritten letters or poems instead of noods. A world where a woman will go out of her way to show me she loves me through a romantic act, not simply spreading her legs. Why can't this be real?
Are you really sure that the women you meet only wants sex from you and nothing else ?
It's not as easy if u are one who was once promiscuous and used to taking advantage of women in the past while in the world. That instinct can kick in when you least expect after giving ur life to Christ.
That's why setting boundaries is a must.
I feel it easy if a person who accept Jesus Christ, reads the Bible, and goes to church would learn that taking advantage of women is bad.
If he reads from his Bible that the wages of sin is death, he would do something productive with his life instead of allowing the instinct or thought of taking advantage of women or men to set in.
If God loves us he would just forgive Adam and not increase the murder on earth by sending someone to be killed.
The wages of sin is death. Adam had to bear the consequences of his action for partaking in the forbidden fruit. Adam and Eve were spiritually separated from God after he ate the forbidden fruit
God demostrated His love for us by sending His only begotten son (Jesus Christ) and His blood was shed as an atonement for our sins. Whoever believes in Jesus Christ as accept him has eternal life.
Jesus Christ's blood is better than that of animals that were used earlier on for the atonement of sin.
The greatest love any man can give is to die for another and God the Son demostrated it by laying his life for us to have eternal life.
God created man in His own image and gave him freewill decisions.
Man choose to eat the forbidden fruit. Cain killed Abel. Jacob deceived his father Issac. Man chose to feel his heart with evil thoughts. Man choose to marry another Man etc.
You cannot hold God responsible for the actions of man.

Many Nigerians on Facebook, many many, tell lies about the school they attended.
Deliberate filling this in?
Why??
They either fill in a top university abroad, or a top federal school in Nigeria, A big name.
This has been so since the golden age of Facebook in Nigeria about 10, 11 years ago to today.
Still so till today, this very day.
This is not mistake as one may think initially (very fee of them are genuine mistakes) this is deliberate.
They will fill in a big name of a secondary school sometimes too. And false University
Then a false working place sometimes too. Maybe slightly related to the profession they do. But it's false.
Over and over and over again.
Many persons I know offline by virtue of Stumbling on their profile online, I see this.

I started womanizing to help me overcome my addiction of Betting.
It has helped to an extent as I spend majority of my time in a brothel, Eating, drinking, relaxing and fvcking (my mind leaves betting).
The issue now is that, since I started three years back, I have been treating one infection to another. Currently having skin reaction that brings out small inflammation and rashes on my body like my favourite olosho.
I can't help it. I have tried switching to drinking to take over womanizing, but it won't work.
Except I go back to betting (which is worse). In the past, I would sit all day in a bet9ja shop wasting away - gambling with my money, people's money and my belongings. Then I lose focus and don't work
But with womanizing, at least I get some pleasure, and get to use my money little by little. The rate at which it finishes is not as fast as betting.
The thought of having to choose between different bannies to lash at night keeps me motivated during the day to work harder for cash. Just the infection part as condom do burst at times while there are some I only do raw.
I know my lifespan is short, I just want to enjoy it with a sane mind and not fleeing from betting woes. My body is wired to do one addiction to stay placated/elated.
Having a girlfriend is scary. What if I invest a lot on just one girl and she cheats on me
Change your name from "childofdoom" to "childofgrace".
Due to some ugly circumstances, i dropped out of school in 2019 and I've been at home since then, periodically picking up one or two low paying jobs. 2 years ago, I decided to learning a tech skill. I taught myself C++ programming language and I'm currently teaching myself mathematics aggressively, studying for min of 8 hours daily.
For the past two years, I've mostly always been in my room, I can be in our house for more than two weeks, without stepping a foot out of our door due to how engrossed in studying I always am. My goal is to learn C++, DSA , And Math to an undergraduate level then use my skills to apply for scholarships to study abroad, and probably work in a hedge fund company as a quantitative trader in the future. For those who know what leetcode is, i can currently solve most leetcode (hard) problems in less than 40 minutes.
Now, I'll be 24 in August, and my dad is worried that I'm wasting my life away because I've refused to pickup any real job or learn a trade, his worried that I'm already getting old, always reminding me that people my age are already getting married. Now he wants me to leave his house to go look for my own place to stay, and has offered me 7 million naira to go start life else where.
Now I plan to move out of Lagos to PH or Akwa Ibom, then use part of the money to start up a computer business center, where I'll be doing typing, printing, lamination, jamb registration, GCE/WAEC registrations, etc. One of the reasons I chose this is because I've worked in a place like this before and I have experience in how to run such a place. Another reason is that, this business would give me time to also study and sharpen my Math/Programming skills. I plan to rent a shop that is big enough so that I can also be sleeping/living there.
Now I seriously need advicing because this is such a turning point in my life and the next few years is going to make or break me because there is no room for any disastrous bad decision
You idea sounds good. If I were you I would jappa to an European country with my N7m and start a new life overthere

Do you think a promiscus man would be happy if his sister or mother or aunty of female cousins is being taken advantages of or being sexually abused ?
If the response is no, then the " instinct" of such promiscus man should not set in after accepting Christ. He should work out his salvation with fear and trembling always
FreeSpirited:
You will never understand what it means to fall into grave sexual temptation until you start living a sexually pure life or until you decide to work for God.
.
I'm not yet a pastor in full time ministry but I can tell you the truth based on series of temptation I get these days, the work of a pastor is one of the hardest when it comes to standing against sexual temptation.
Yesterday I also perfectly understood why pastors fall for married women or ladies whose marriage or relationship is in crises during counseling.
.
The truth is counselling a heart broken woman is a big trap. A big trap that can only take God and courage to not fall into. You will be shocked that the person you are counseling is so vulnerable and sexually primed that the greatest emotions flowing through her at that time is a urge to be touched, cuddled, caressed and knacked. I saw everything last night, and my defence began to crack, wane, weakened and almost dissolved completely while the lady was begging time for me to touch her.
.
It was yesterday I realized that deciding to live a holy life or deciding to be a pastor means that you have only signed yourself into continuous sexual temptation. No wonder most pastors fail! I thought I had won the demon of temptation until I experienced the dimension of counseling a broken married lady.
.
I won't go into the story. It's a long crazy one. But pastors will understand what I'm saying .... And if you have not counselled a heartbroken woman either married or single... You can never understand. How I escaped without crashing totally is a mystery.
If Joseph, the son of Jacob can resist the sexual advances and temptations of Potiphar's wife, then any determined pastor can resist the temptation of any married woman in marriage crisis irrespective of how emotional she is or how pumped up her bust or ass is.
