So this is the main reason Gowon went to visit Tinubu the other day.

Gowon is not getting it. Those countries' military junta must restore democracy to their country before their suspension from ECOWAS and all the sanctions levelled against them by ECOWAS can be lifted. Military coup must be discouraged by all reasonable means. So I am with ECOWAS on this. ECOWAS has no justification for its continued existence if it cannot ensure there is consequence for military coup. 2 Likes |

Anny69: You may be right. That's why a sensible man with a healthy self esteem takes his time to study the nature and character of a woman he is in a relationship with; he knows the level of madness his woman is capable of and he is ever vigilant and ready, not only to march her level of madness but also go beyond it. No self-respecting man with healthy self esteem can ever allow a disagreement with his woman to degenerate to a point of physical violence without him being the one dominating the situation even if it means killing her before she could kill him 1 Like 1 Share |

In essence, Lagos State has the capacity to become the poorest state in Nigeria while pretending to be rich. I guess that's what the governor is trying to say

Security companies are actually regulated in Nigeria; only that for now, they are not allowed to use firearm. They are under Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps. Any security company in Nigeria not ed with NSCDC is operating illegally. Yeah, instead of, or while waiting for state police, the federal government could grant ed security companies permission to train their guards on how to use firearms and they should be allowed to bear arms for a robust security of lives and properties. That is a good alternative to state police. Dobodobo04: 2 Likes |

The problem here is that crude oil export alone can't sustain the economy as big as Nigeria. Ndume seems to forget that government earnings and spending alone can't do much to stimulate the economy. The entrepreneurs in the country equally play big roles in stimulating and growing the economy but unfortunately, they are the ones who are adversely affected by the falling value of the Naira. So the issue here is not about the dollars federal government is earning.through crude oil; but the purchasing power of the masses that is being eroded and the high cost of living occasioned by the devaluation of Naira. 1 Like |

So they just wake up to discover it is a residential area after all this years! Imagine the cost of demolishing all the buildings and structures in that computer village and building residential apartments there from scratch. Is that not madness? |

Ali Ndume is right. Those senators who served during Buhari's tenure should be ashame of themselves for allowing Buhari to collect loans indiscriminately.

A substandard senator must build a substandard 'tech hub'. You can't give what you don't have. The people who voted this type of character are the ones to blame.

Nigeria being the most populous black nation on earth seems too big to be policed by the Federal Government alone; hence, state police seems necessary. While state police will definitely help in some situation but its potential dangers (especially if they are going to carry gun) are scary! If they would carry guns they must be supervised by either Federal Police or Civil Defence. 1 Like |

NAFDAC could be sued for negligence. If we had a responsible government all the lab scientists in NAFDAC and other NAFDAC officials who handled the registration of this product should have been fired for this. It shows they are useless. Collecting fat salaries for nothing. iLoveYouToo: 1 Like |

Nice one from Mr. President there. It's always good to appreciate people for their little effort. It should motivate them to do even better next time knowing that their effort will be appreciated and regarded. |

Jilo83: They didn't use the word 'immediately'. Its true some of them promised to do away with subsidy but there is no guarantee they would actually go ahead with it and even if they do, I don't think they would have recklessly removed it with such urgency as Tinubu did without making sure there is enough palliative on ground to ease the impact of the subsidy removal. |

You try small. Let me score you 40% for your effort. The thing is there is no perfect government anywhere on earth. There is no perfect politician anywhere. No politician anywhere is 100% clean and Peter Obi can't be an exception. Nevertheless, I am still convinced that he remained the best and the cleanest among the politicians that contested during the last presidential election. The two websites below give some information about his legacies and achievements in Anambra State education sector while he was the governor: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2018/08/education-obis-model-pays-off/amp/ https://selonnes.com/2018/02/01/anambra-state-education-rebirth-the-peter-obi-model/ As for his other achievements generally as a governor check out the link below: https://www.legit.ng/nigeria/1498135-18-major-achievements-peter-obi-melt-hearts/ I am still convinced Peter Obi has the right kind of personality and principles Nigeria of today desperately needs from a president. He has what it takes to lay the right kind of foundation for Nigeria's development for future leaders to build on. There is a reason he is ionately loved by so many people. Ballmer: |

Ballmer: Even though you don't have evidence to proof this but the truth is every nation and every state is after its self-interest. No responsible governor anywhere allows its state's civil service to be over-run by indigenes of other states at the expense of his own people. Ballmer: Do you mind telling us with verifiable evidence what poverty rate was before Obi became governor and what it was after he left the office? Ballmer: Can you tell us with verifiable evidence how much tuition fee was before Obi became the governor and how much it was after he left office. Can you also tell us with verifiable evidence and authentic link to the source of the information, the state of education of Anambra State before Obi became the governor and after his tenure? Ballmer: Can you show us a video evidence to you claim that Obi looted the above amount monthly? Can you also tell us why EFCC and subsequent governors of Anambra state never bothered to probe and prosecute him? Ballmer: Can you tell us with verifiable evidence and link to the source of the information what kidnapping and robbery rate in Anambra was before Obi became the governor and what it was after he left office? Your answers to the above questions will help us make informed decision in the future. Thanks. Mind you, I need answers with verifiable evidence and a link to the authentic source of the information you are giving. 1 Like |

Jilo83: Idiotic reasoning there from whoever made the above comment. 'The current economic hardship' Nigerians are facing are a direct result of Tinubu's policies! Hurriedly removing fuel subsidy without providing any palliative and recklessly floating the Naira knowing fully well that Nigeria is an import dependent nation that will always need to sell the Naira in order to buy dollars and other foreign currencies in order to import over 90% of what it consumes. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to know that these two actions of Tinubu are capable of plunging the Naira and the economy into the abyss that we are seeing now! On the claim that Nigeria cannot afford to pay subsidy, I don't think that is true. Subsidy itself was never the problem. The real problem with subsidy was the mind-boggling corruption behind it plus the fact that every government in power seems to lack political will to tackle the corruption because of fear of stepping on some powerful toes. In the present state of the country's economy, uprooting corruption in the subsidy system and making sure all those involved in the corrupt activities are prosecuted and jailed would have been in the overall interest of Nigerians rather than removing the subsidy completely. 1 Like |
