A very big shock awaits many of these politicians from the SS and SE decamping from the party they were voted into power to APC. Many of them will learn a hard way that it is the people that decides who leads them in a democracy not Tinubu's APC. 2 Likes |

Have you asked yourself what caused the deficit in the first place? This is the same question Trump failed to ask. You can't force another country to import what they do not need from your country just to maintain some unrealistic trade 'balance'. What Trump should have done would be to first identify those products Americans keep importing from China but which America is already producing, then quietly ban importation of those items or quietly place a tariff on just those items. Another alternative action would have been for Trump to have a meeting with Chinese government and businessmen to see how he can woo them to buy more American-made goods and do more business with America. Like I always tell people, life is not always about gra gra. There are many battles you cannot win by force. By the way, I don't believe in trade balance. One nation is always bound to import more goods from the other nation while the other one export less. the situation can reverse from time to time but there can never be balance as you can't force your goods on another nation who does not need it. It's either your country produce more products that are in high demand globally or you diplomatically encourage other nations to do more business with your country. You can't force a trade balance. By the way I am not an economist, I am just trying to make common sense as Ben Murray Bruce would say. jaxxy: 3 Likes 1 Share |

Gr8mind07: That's the point most people miss. Personally, I want Fubara back. But which state assembly is he going to work with? The same assembly that are determined to frustrate and impeach him at all cost? The governor cannot work alone without the cooperation of the majority of the of state house of assembly. There are so many things a governor cannot do unless house of assembly approve it. What the elders and the concerned citizens of River State should focus their efforts and energy on is how to reconcile the warring parties and make them sign an undertaking that they will work together in peace and cooperate with each other to move the state foreward. Once that is done they can now find a way of convincing the president to end the state of emergency and restore the democratic structure. Anything less than this would be counter-productive and a waste of time 2 Likes |

GOFRONT: Most of you have zero understanding of issues and end up saying things that cannot stand the test of logic and reality. The woman is congratulating her husband for bringing a second WIFE home (mind you, the emphasis is on WIFE). She is not congratulating the husband for having a 'side chick', a girlfriend or for being promiscuous and sleeping around with anything in skirt. It is a wife the man brought home, which could have been based on mutual agreement between the husband and the first wife. How is Tuface and Annie matter related to this? Are you saying you have been advising your own sisters and daughters (assuming you an adult) to tolerate and encourage unfaithfulness and irresponsible, promiscuous activities from their husband in the name of marriage? 3 Likes 1 Share |

10thTenthMan: Yeah, you may be right but I have some questions for you: Do you have a wife and children? Would you feel okay if you caught your wife or any of your teenage kids listening to and singing the trash Tuface is singing here? 2Face is an elderly man (forget about the fact that he looks young). He should be a positive role model to younger ones. Reasonable people are disappointed in him. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Maxymilliano: River State is under a state of emergency and the person in charge of the affairs of the government of the state at the moment is called a 'Sole ' for a reason. That guy is not answerable to any power except the order of Tinubu and maybe that of the supreme court too. But let me keep that aside. I would have seen this Ibas as a true hero of democracy if he had used the 6 months given to him to reconcile Fubara and the recalcitrant of the state house of assembly and hand over to Fubara after the 6 months suspension. I am surprise he is not even making any attempt in that regard. He seems to be getting addicted to the power he just got at the platter of gold. 1 Like 1 Share |

They are partly right and partly wrong. I believe the recruitment exercise should be open to whoever can prove he or she is qualified and competent to get the job done, irrespective of whether you are an internal staff or an outsider. it is efficiency we should be after, not maintaining the status quo at the expense of efficiency and productivity.

He must have learned from Fubara's mistake. One of Fubara's biggest mistakes was allowing Tinubu to influence him to drop the court cases he instituted against the defected lawmakers. That mistake was used against him especially in court.

Edo State government has no reason to apologise to anybody or compensate anybody since the killers were not government officials. What were the northerners doing with guns in another person's state of I may ask? They say they were hunters but is there no bush or forest in their northern states for their hunting business? The best the government can do in this situation is to have the killers arrested, tried and if found guilty they go to jail for extra-judicial killing. The killers were non-state actors, so Edo state government does not have to compensate anybody or apologise to anybody. NEF should go and sit down. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Nonsense. Imagine disqualifying somebody like the great Cosmas Maduka from contesting for president just because of his age and educational qualification. When we know the man is a billion times more accomplished, mentally sound and more morally upright than over 95% of the so-called young graduates and can govern this nation fantastically well. And there are many like him!

Mariangeles: LoL. If you think merely appearing bold and confident while saying something or after saying it automatically means the person is saying the truth it shows you are yet to understand how mysterious, complex and deceptive human beings can be. Within the short period I have lived on earth so far I have personally seen people lying with confidence and even swearing and placing a curse on themselves saying if they are lying let so so thing happen to them whereas they are lying. Never under-rate human capacity to fabricate stories and say it with so much confidence and emotion. A word is enough for the wise. Most people are far more strange, complex and deceptive than you will ever realise. By the way, I have no way of knowing if Natasha is lying against Akpabio or not. But one thing I know for sure about her is that she is unruly, have no regards for protocols, lacks self-control and discipline. She is a manipulative character who has a way of diverting attention from her misdemeanor by bringing up unrelated issues. Above all, she is evil. 3 Likes 1 Share |

This your comment contains some misleading insinuations that has to be corrected. helinues: I guess Fubara just woke up one day, out of boredom and without any provocation he just decided to demolish the state assembly complex just for fun and to keep himself busy. Or is that what you think. helinues: Oh! I never knew Fubara fights for the fun it! When the so called assembly decided to frustrate the governor, announced publicly that they have defected to another party and was determined to impeach the governor who committed no offence other than refusing dance to all of Wike's tune. You were expecting the governor to meekly accept all that, right? Did you just insinuate that Fubara was also fighting the LG chairmen? You mean the pro-Wike chairmen whose tenure already expired but wanted to remain in office to work for Wike at the grassroot? Which governor would accept that? helinues: How do you resolve issues 'amicably' with enemies who don't want peace and are determined to remove you from office and frustrate you just because you are not doing the bidding of one 'godfatner' in Abuja or wherever? 1 Like 1 Share |
