I can confirm this. Dollar fell a lot in the black market too.

EDIT: No celebrate too much or praise Tinubu. My BDC guys explained that it's seasonal, as diaspora people are returning for the holidays, they are selling their FX in exchange for Naira, which is temporarily propping up naira value. One of them made a funny remark that all the "yankee bois" want to ride on the bad exchange rate to become billionaires in Naira grin grin, so they are selling off their dollars more than usual because it will fetch them more this period.

I am not unpatriotic, I Naira gain, it is for our collective benefit.

Respect to Jagaban, he knows how to assemble the best brains, as Governor and now as President. Anywhere that's difficult to enter, just leave it for Tinubu, that's where he likes to dismantle into pieces.

After God, na Tinubu šŸ’Ŗ God bless Nigeria.
Mad rhetorics

Wake me up when it start exchanging at N350 to a dollar

Mark this down

Let me call on jobless helinues also to screenshot this

By April naira is 2k

Mark it
šŸ˜‚ really. Cardoso and his team did a massive job by reducing the dollar rate to Naira to 50% reduction. Don’t worry by January, dollar will hit #500

Only when this is sustained for 2 months, can I praise the govt
It can never be sustained and what is happening is not even new. This has always been the trend for years , once it gets to December ,dollars and Fx generally crash due to holidays and inflows . More people come in from outside bringing in FX, and usually remittances back home also increases . Once it gets to January when people are going back ,then rates start going up again . It is just normal . Wit till January ending , You will be shocked at how fast it has risen back again .
Let's not forget that during Xmas ,there is usually low importation ,when full importation resumes in January ,then we shall know whether the drop in rates will last or not

Now this is good news.

Very good news: if Nigeria start producing food and PMS, the Naira will continue to appreciate against the dollar

it's the worst decision u could make, as long as EFEMS still exist, it will be difficult to speculate

You are advising someone who has probably never traded in foreign currency before?

You are advising someone who most likely does not have a Dom ?

You are advising most likely one of those theory experts without any practical knowledge.

I enjoy your comments so far but please know the types of comments to respond to on Nairaland.

It will continue falling even though I have some money in dollars that is already reducing in value I really don't mind. Let it keep falling.
stasius: 4:11pm On Dec 07, 2024
Let it reduce to the point that those in UK and abroad will wish to come back home and work here.

The diasporans must have been coming in trailer loads according to you theory. Perhaps, all the International airports are busy now because of the arrivals. Dey play.

The diasporans must have been coming in with billions of dollars now. Dey play.

It is always like that in December and it goes up back in January. Wonderful! Only if you could back this type of appreciation up with at least statistics from the recent past.

Oga read more. Go to Nairametrics and educate your self further. and don't just hold on to one factor when there are varieties of factors .

But it’s a good opportunity to buy the dollar now using naira
then imagine it appreciates to less than N1000 in a week grin

Even when Dangote refinery came on board, naira did not appreciate. Give credit where it is due, the new digital platform Cardoso created has turned things around. Stop downplaying every positive news, it's a sign of sickness.

If you have money, buy as much as possible. It’ll return to status quo by January.

Funny enough it's going to keep coming down . DONALD TRUMP'S IMMIGRATION LAW is making A lot of Nigerians to return back to Nigeria in droves and invest here . It's better they they come back themselves and transfer their investment here than been report. So buying dollars to keep now is a bad investment end of January if will be 1000 naira to 1 dollar . I will refer to this post again by end of january.

Black man Black delima : Areoye Oyebola! In Nigeria you get everything imported from fly covered meat to Televisions ! BBC RADIO BROADCAST during ERAN MURITALA Muhammed era, if not for the importation of every products in Nigeria what is just paper monetary systems be between countries be so high from one country to the other.
Going back into history, in the 70s $1= 64 Naira £1 = 200Naira 1German mark Dutch mark. = 40 Naira and 1 SAUDI Riyadh = 20 Naira.
But today in Nigeria šŸ‡³šŸ‡¬ you get everything imported into the country from fly covered meat to Televisions.
To come back to the early industrial services productions operations systems we should go back to local products operattions purchasing systems.

You may end up losing massively. There is no sign that naira will loose ground early. The major driver has always been speculation and not demand and supply. Anything that eliminates speculation will give us true value of naira.
