Something has been bothering me on my interior, my hdf living room wall design can be seen in PIC 1 , I complained I didn’t like how it doesn’t have a straight line with the line on the pop and the installer said ppl will not notice and they are trying to make the tiles on the floor straight in PIC 2 because the front wall design isn’t straight as in PIC 3 ( something like this _/—-\_ )


I hate the sight whenever I look at it from up, so please Ild like opinions on if it’s better to be straight and tiles on the floor doesn’t allign or bent up and tiles allign on the floor, thanks

I saw your post and was waiting for time to respond.

I don't fully understand your picture because of the angle that you are taking it.

When I was mounting my MDF slat wall, I noticed that if I kept the dimensions from the ground to the left and right equal that there would be a very visible slant, the solution was to tilt it a little. Once it was tilted a little I got a straight line. What that means is that the floor is not level but sloping. That could be the solution you seek.

As for the part about tiles, I don't think I am following so I cannot comment on that.

Since I also did a two-tone paint job, I also noticed that less than straight lines where the wall meets the ceiling. I never noticed the lack of straightness when I did a one tone paint job.

Big question, did they use a laser level to get the perfect line when setting this up for you?

Not enough details to make a reasonably informed choice, I'm afraid. The difference seems to lie in the quotations for "Matt's" and "Earth rods." Guess the question then is, why the difference, what are the pros and cons of each option and which one will suit your specific circumstances or needs most? The answers to these questions should come from your electrician.

He said there are some earthrods that when you're hammering them, they tend to bend. So it appears it's just about quality of material. I don't just want to blindly go for the most expensive on the assumption that it equals the best for me.

I have not completed building approval in lagos myself.

But I wonder why someone residing abroad would tender his tax documents for building approval in Nigeria??

The reason I asked is even if an individual paid $100k in taxes in US or £70k in taxes in the UK. There's no way building approval authorities will be hitting back flips and clapping for you...
Although it seems that what they are doing is trying to generate revenue for their respective states but they don't really care about taxation laws.. they all want to be paid in the end.

Matter of fact, even if you bring in income tax receipts from a different state, the state you are building on will still tell you ehn ehn.... You paid taxes in different state, the tax we need is the receipts of the ones you paid in the state you are seeking the building approval from
( this happened to me).

This is one of the many reasons why individuals resort to "any means" to overcome this burden and get their building plans approved because even if you try to do right , they still say you are wrong. Damn you if you do, damn you if you don't.

Why would someone pay taxes in 2 different states from one income?? It defies common sense but that's the way it they think it should be

But the bigger part of it is with the loose privacy laws in Nigeria, someone Turning in their foreign tax documents with their information 'might' be opening themselves up for things they didn't bargain for.

Also, jealous folks in that office will be saying ehn ehn... hin wan show us say hin dey live abroad etc... and they will see the abroadian as ATM or make life unnecessarily hard for them.

You hit nails on several walls. We are the problem of ourselves in this country. Tax billing no be maimai. Even if you work in Lagos and don't try how to drag the matter with them, you might still become prey to them.
