I am based in Ontario. What are the next steps after landing. I have gotten my SIN and was wondering next steps.

What bank should i open, i am looking for one with no monthly fees, any ideas?

what number can i use to ask about expediting my PR card.

If not, how strict is the quarantine law, can i drive to service canada and get my SIN, then go to my residence and begin my quarantine.

I already got one. Although i am still in the US , i intend to land in Canada 2nd week in jan. Will i get the SIN the day i get into canada, i also have to quarantine.

Do you know the process with the pandemic, how quick can i get the SIN

They print the SIN number on a piece of paper and give it to you. You will need a sin number to work. Did you have any jobs in mind?

For some weird reason I was banned by nairaland. Submitted my port to Ottawa & it took 2weeks for them to return it back to me. Since your counterfoil has been generated, you should get your port soon.

I have sent my port to ottawa from the US over a week . I see that a visa (counterfoil) was issued on saturday but my return tracking shows nothing. Did anyone experience this and how long did it take after visa was issued on dashboard

Mine took 14 days excluding weekends.
port was delivered to Ottawa: Sep 30th, 2020
New port photo was requested: October 6th
New port photo delivered: October 7th
COPR received: October 19th

It took like 5 days to get mine back. Try and get the port photographs dimension right so you won't have to resubmit. I think I used an online service to edit the photos before printing it out at CVS.

Would you be exporting your vehicle? If so I can send you a link with things to do before crossing the border.
If you're driving a rental, there's nothing much to know, it'd be the same process as coming in through the airport except you'd have to exit the car and go into the building for processing.

Me and my spouse are Nigerians with Nigerian port but my kids are americans. I am the principal applicant, should i still send my kids american ports or just me and my spouses nigerian ports.

Generally, it is valid for 12 months. You would have got the redo email before now if not for covid19-induced delays.

I have been waiting for a while now like everyone and i have submitted all the requested documents. I did my initial medicals about April 2019. My medicals was extended March 2020.

Yesterday i got an email to redo medicals. Did anyone get anything similar or has anyone done medicals again.

I mean they sent you and email saying you have received the PR. or is everyone waiting for them to reopen in canada. I am in the US and my case is handled in canada but i havent heard anything from them in this pandemic months apart from generic emails from raising webform.

Back to the question, do you know anyone or have you received congratulations email on pr within april, may.
