Thanks for the reply. Sorry which airline? Coz I booked an Ethiopian airline, I don’t know if they’ll request for a test.

frailbuzz:

Yes I flew from Lagos. I didn't do a covid-19 test.

Canada doesn't require a test for entry.
Ethiopia requires a test for entry but NOT for transit.

In summary, no test required for your situation. (To the best of my knowledge grin )

I'm travelling via Cairo in December. I asked their staff and they confirmed I didn't need a test.

wrong and right, their parts are made in China but are assembled in California
It's cheaper in the USA than any other place and depending on where she buys it could be cheaper in Nigeria

Just wanted to point out something.

If you look at the back of your iPhone (if you own one), you'd see Designed in California and Assembled in China.

Apple is responsible for the design of their devices. In recent times; Apple has also started deg the chips in their devices (the lastest MacBooks that launched last week/two weeks ago launched with the M1 chip which was designed by Apple.

Long story short; after deg, specs are sent to their Chinese manufacturer partners (Foxcon and co) who then manufacture and assemble the devices.

Don't get it twisted...

Hello Winterpeg. I don’t know if you’ll mind sharing. I’m about to apply for an Msc in university of Guelph. I already have an Msc in From Nigeria but someone told me I stand a better chance at gaining ission for an Msc program than a PhD. Please can you share some application tips so that I can gain the ission?
I’m currently in Nigeria and have never travelled overseas. Thank you
I co-ask this question with you. Kindly notify me when it's answered

Thanks for the response. Please send me the link for exporting vehicles. How long does it take for the port to be returned after sending it for pr visa from the US

Stencil:
Would you be exporting your vehicle? If so I can send you a link with things to do before crossing the border.
If you're driving a rental, there's nothing much to know, it'd be the same process as coming in through the airport except you'd have to exit the car and go into the building for processing.

Your health card is sufficient. I don't really know how their database works sha, but in Alberta your health care number is all everyone asks for.

Clinics can choose to accept walk in patients, or only ed patients. If you choose to you can with multiple family doctors. I'm ed with 2 for instance. You would usually book an appointment to see your family doctor, and they will be familiar with your health history. Some clinics don't accept walk ins. You must be ed with one of their doctors.

When you do a walk in you don't need to . They will sha put you on their systems the first time you do so. When you walk in, you might have to wait for a doctor to be free.

I've heard that doctors prefer to see their own patients and pay more attention to them than to all those flitting about from one place to another lol.

When I want to walk in, I call first thing in the morning and say I want to walk in. So they book me for the earliest free 'walk in' time. There's also a page you can check to see waiting time, I've never used it so not sure how accurate. https://medimap.ca

You would usually see signs like 'now accepting walk ins'' 'now accepting new patients' in front of clinics.

Hello, you live in Alberta right? Pls what’s the time period for children in Kindergarten in Alberta, do they do full time hours like in Ontario (9am to 3:35pm). Thanks

Kindergarten is half day except for schools in certain communities (the list changes every year)

https://cbe.ab.ca/programs/kindergarten/Pages/default.aspx

You can put your child in private KG, or make after school arrangements with a daycare/dayhome (they do drop off and pickup from nearby schools).

Seen, thanks a lot for the article.

DivineGrace123:

It might be possible especially with overtime. I read an article earlier this year about a number of OC Transpo drivers who earned above $100,000 in 2019. I was shocked when I read the article. I never knew that they could earn so much like that. Their boss (transit general manager) earned $295,000 in 2019. According to the report, his salary was the second-highest in Ottawa in 2019. Since then, anytime I board a bus, I go just dey say in my mind that these people dey enjoy o. grin cheesy

You can actually respond to a honest question without being an arse you know.

maternal:

Someone has already posted the article. Ottawa to be exact. But any major Canadian city really. Transit operators have a strong union, and a good CBA. So unless you know what's in the CBA, you're just speculating. Your head is scattered because your parents lied to you. You can't comprehend how a bus driver with only a secondary school education, and a drivers license can make over 179k per year. According to your father that's not possible. They also receive amazing benefits and a nice pension plan when they retire since they are government employees. Hence why I was laughing at that lawyer that doesn't want to do "dirty jobs". You think he ever sniffed 170k=over 52 million naira in one year as a rubbish lawyer in naija ?

It took like 5 days to get mine back. Try and get the port photographs dimension right so you won't have to resubmit. I think I used an online service to edit the photos before printing it out at CVS.

Hello. Please where can I find cheap flights or what airline do you think is highly recommended?
adigun183: 12:09pm On Nov 20, 2020
Hello kind people. I just received my ppr and hopefully my copr comes shortly. I, like many others, intend to travel in-spite of the travel ban in place. I would really appreciate if anyone with a similar situation (who got their copr post march 18th and who isn’t an immediate family member of a Canadian permanent resident) has traveled successfully without issue at the borders. Any experience and/or advice about the questions asked regarding quarantine plans, POF, and other statutory questions will be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards.
P.S. I’m very new to this platform, but please how do you people travel with your money from nigeria to canada? Do you do a transfer? If so, how? Too many questions, i guess i’ll stop here

1.Convert to usd and keep in your pocket. Take to a Canadian bank to covert. Usually 1.29 to 1.30

2. Keep in your naira and use it to buy cad from a fellow Nigeria looking for naira. Rate is between 330 to 355 now and cad is scarce too.

Thank you very much Kind Sir for your prompt response. Could you please shed some light on the decision to travel in spite of the travel ban and how to arrange for a quarantine location? I thank you in anticipation
