Tolutheo: If your masters is an ict major and its course content are related to the nominated occupation, you will need two years of experience either before or after to meet the skilled level. Then, you can claim points for experience only after you have met both qualification and the experience required. Caveat: the date you will meet the skilled level is the date that you achieve both experience and the qualification requirements |

Kindly find the requirements from the ACS Skill assessment guideline below: A post graduate qualification (Graduate Diploma or Masters) that do not require a Bachelor with an ICT major for entry into the course, must have: • A minimum of 3 semesters or at least 1.5 years of full-time study • At least 2 semesters or 1 year of full-time equivalent ICT content • A minimum of 12 units or subjects (overseas degrees may contain less units or subjects) • 50% ICT content for a 2 year Graduate Diploma or Masters qualification • 33% ICT content for a 3 year Graduate Diploma or Masters qualification The requirements above will determine if your Master degree is an ICT major or Minor. Then you need to ensure that the contents of your degree is related to the Closely Related Core ICT Unit areas contained in the anzsco code description for the occupation you are nominating which is available here -> https://www.acs.org.au/content/dam/acs/acs-skills/ANZSCO%20Code%20Information%20-%202017%20V4.pdf - Same applies for the job description. trastar: Unfortunately, Ict pm is only on the stol, hence; available for only 190 and 489. I'm using ospf(open shortest path first). Firstly, I did English and got 10points. Then checked for ict occupation I can nominate with minimum points and more sponsorship options as my degree (IT Management) covers a wide range in content (business analyst, Systems analyst, developer programmer, software testing, IcT management and ict project management). Same for job roles. I settled for ict pm as I have seen people nominated with as low as 55pts and i'm hoping for a fail safe of 489 with sa and hopefully, a magical stream 2 for nsw. Whilst I go back to trying English for 20points. I am hoping to sit out this month before moving further. Further, i'd shoot for sa and for ielts then re-assessment. The hustle is real like one of my oga here said. Thanks a bunch. |

trastar:It is there for both 489 and 190 on some occupations. IT occupations are no longer on their TSOL used for overseas application without job offer on the 489 visa, hence; IT occupation nominating applicants may only apply for Tasmanian 190/489 visa with a job offer. |

Obigirl: I just realized Agricultural Agricultural Technician is also available on 489 for Tasmania. Application fee: $free. There is agricultural scientist also available for all three regions under 489, you may check that out too. |

Obigirl: I think the first step is to work with Vetassess gurus in the house to repackage your application for your chosen occupation. You then need a personal score of 50 to apply for 489. Application fee for South Australia is $200, whilst that of Riverina (NSW) is $770. |

@Obigirl That's the spirit my sis, you're surely a winner. Take a look at the agricultural technician as suggested. It's only available on the 489 visa for south Australia and Nsw(Riverina to be precise). The comforting news here is that there is high rate of ITAs for 489 applications from South Australia, and Nsw is not doing badly on 489 either. I hope you don't mind the 489 visa though? Anyway, we may all start begging for it with the current trend and the reports on their consultations. Their reservation for a temporary residency visa period before full residency at the moment is the need for Australia to remain a competitive destination for migrants. They are presently looking at ways for migrants to firstly contribute to the economy before they can access their social programs and whenever they find a solution, the implementation will always be through adjusting various visa conditions. |

@jayooh From what I've read on different platforms, I'm assuming you just create an eoi for nsw and they will invite when they start with stream 2, usually around January/February if your occupation is in demand in nsw based on mid-year industry consultations. |
![]() |
My observations going through their websites are that these two(Queensland and Tasmania) requires a valid job offer on the 190 visa for overseas application. The occupation is only available for overseas application on the 489 visa of Tasmania and South Australia without job offer. Please house, is there any info on nsw stream 2 for this year as I am planning to nominate ict project manager for Victoria and NSW on stream 2. stepo707: |

Dear Wale, It is quite embarrassing to hear a fellow Nigerian say that 6,000 jobs will be lost if we act against the senseless killing of our people by the barbarians in South Africa. May I inform Mr Wale Goodluck in case he does not know that no amount of economic benefit equates to life. Not long ago the United States, despite their economic troubles spent a huge amount in repatriating her 3 citizens affected by Ebola from Sierra Leone. No matter how true your statement may be, it should rather be silent in the discussion and in canvassing for peace in this situation. Your open pronouncement of this indicates the fact that you and the organization you represent have no respect for lives. It also shows how arrogant you are by threatening the people even when they are being wronged. Mr Wale Goodluck , I’m deeply ashamed to say firstly, that you are a Nigerian, and secondly, that you occupy a leadership position in foreign organization that employs our people. My recommendation for you is to probably take a course in Ethics from one of the leading business schools in order to re-base your ethical values. Regards
