My boss.... Root or No Root, No script enables 5G on Google Pixel in uned/unofficial countries. The best you can get with the script is VoLTE and VoWIFI (Shizuku + Pixel IMS).

Also, I live in Ikeja GRA and frequent around Computer Village/Sheraton Hotel/Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, where 5G is very stable. Using my friend's Samsung Galaxy Fold 4, I can confirm 5G Internet speed on the Samsung Galaxy is way faster than the 4G on my Google Pixel 7. The difference is day and night, if you ask me.

Basically yes, you can't except you root it and run a script.

And it's not a deal breaker.

Set your network to 5G only, it shows 4G but speed is not different from what your 5G device would give you

My strong Advice: Go in yourself and negotiate with the customs official at UPS NAHCO to get your phone released ASAP before your phone get stolen or they begin to tell you stories that touch.

Here's the timeline:

13th April 2021 ...Paid for package

28th April .....Package was shipped

16th June ...Picked package from EMS with their usual crazy charges attached.

It took a total of 49 days...That's 1 month and 18 days between when they shipped and when I received it. But between order and when it was shipped that's 64 days.


I didn't even bother to track the package.

Same here my bruv. Mine arrived Lagos impc on 15th June and was handed to customs for clearance but still no update till now, I just hope it's not stolen ooo.

Crazy mad phone for the price, I repeat FOR THE PRICE!!. Super fluid, no lag and no issue with camera. Great design and super picture quality again for the price. I'll buy again and again if I have to and sure recommend to anyone who needs a phone at the price range.

Recently got the Umidigi A5 pro but here is my observation with glo 4g. Firstly, your sim has to be provisioned for the glo 4g (best place to do that is any glo office as those road hawkers selling glo 4g sims don't even have the sims provisioned for glo 4g). Secondly, you need a 4g enabled device with band 28, umidigi a5 pro and a3 pro are some of those. Then lastly, you must have a running data subscription cause I observe once my data is exhausted the glo network switches back to 3g from 4g until I make a new data subscription.... Just my little contribution oooo.

My 4g mifi is unlocked and works with Ntel
