I tot it is the immigration department that determine where to send your application to. Even if you file at Nebraska, it doesn’t mean they will process it there. Or am I wrong?

It doesn’t have to elaborate wedding. It is your choice. Just make sure you take some pictures with the people with you guys at the court. I’m also doing my court wedding next month before she file in

Hi Everyone, please has anyone here received an interview date this year for the IR1 spousal Visa. If yes, how long did you have to wait? Well for how long have you been waiting? The maximum time I have seen here is 22 and 24 months. By the way where is your application presently?

I have been waiting for months since being DQ. Please do you mean 22 and 24 months after being DQ? Actually, my question was how long have people been waiting to be scheduled for interview after being DQ?

She keeps calling the consulate to book an appointment before she can travel from North Carolina to Atlanta and they would take her calls or even take her voice messages. Please any good person should kindly tell me how their fiance was able to get a visa to Nigeria because it's frustrating us and our wedding is scheduled for July we are already making preparations.

You can both do an authentic "visa on arrival" to Nigeria for her; but you MUST visit a Nigerian Immigration Service Command HQ in any state you are in Nigeria! They'll tell you what to do! Good luck!

Then he gave me 3 white papers that contained instructions on how to pick up my port, pay immigrant fees and rights as a spouse of a us citizen.
Then he said I wish you Good luck in the United States of America!!!!
It was a really smooth process, my appointment was for 6:30, I arrived 5:30, got through security and got into the building by 7:05am. Was only asked for original copy of police report, IP and PP. I was out of the building by 8:30am.
Thank God we made it!!!

She should've used a visa company to do it. It would've saved her the headache. After I read the reviews on Google for the Washington and Atlanta consulates, I decided I couldn't risk a plane ticket on not getting anything done. Best money ever spend. And make sure she gets the two year. She also has to travel within ninety days after she gets it or else it will be invalid.

Congratulations about your marriage. 2019 is a long time and you haven't try to figure out how you can do yyour filing even if you aren't ready then. Well it's never late to start. You can go to visajourney dot com to see some guidelines on what you need to do and how you need to file the I-130 form. Also you can check on youtube and type " how to file I-130 spousal form. With this you will learn alot on what you need to submit along. Lastly you can read previous discussions on this thread. Goodluck sir
