Somehow, everything is not about politics. Lagos State still has the best equipped fire Service stations controlled by Federal government, state government and private establishments like banks (Union Bank and First Bank). One of the the most interesting things about fire service in Lagos state is that all these fire stations collaborate together to fight fire in Lagos State. I mean, any fire station can call any of the fire stations for back up or attend to nearby fire incident.
Fire fighters are not spirits that can know when and where a fire has started and appears same second. First, they need to be informed and they need to have free flow of traffic to get there on time. And on fire level, 5 to 10 minutes is enough for a fire (depending on the cause) to burn down buildings.
For Balogun Market, the closest stations are Marina/CMS fire stations and Ojuelegba Fire Station. I bet you that the Marina stations, which is closer will take around 10 minutes to get to the point of fire outbreak only if the market people are highly cooperative when we consider traffic. To clear road for cars to navigate within Balogun market takes minutes, in fact, Lagos state drivers do not care about the giving way to ambulance and fire trucks. As it is, we do not how long it takes the market people to reach out to the fire services.

I believe they adopted that recommendation, personally, I also hold that opinion. It more better to get a more reliable database of eligible Nigerians than rolling out ID cards. The ID Cards will have same information as the NIN slip we holds although with exception of security features.
As it is now, that slip is legally tendered and the information have now been integrated into all financial and diplomatic transactions.

Hey guy, we have seen couple divorce because the wife didn't know how to press toothpaste. I have had encountered with a friend that did not married a lady because the lady own an opinion never to be full housewife. The representative was actually right. The detail section of your initial screenshot is not the evidence of payment. As at the point of payment you suppose to have taken the screenshot (If using mobile) or print out the page (if you are using PCs) of the payment reference number as shown in the attached picture. The only advice is for you to go their Ebute Metta office (IT department) to retrieve your reference number. The representative can only work with the reference number.
To you payment confirmation, I think you should have waited for up to 48 hours for the update. If you payment was successful, you should have your Total Outstanding Subscription Fees: equal to zero by now. To check you financial status, into the portal and click on FINANCIAL STATUS.

You can also reach out to your friend that may have copy of pasted/release results or get someone in academic/results dept to get photocopies of your results. There is no way exams and records will not have from year 1. Before you start any writing, petition or reports, make sure you are equipped with those documents.
Also, if you are sure that you sign attendance sheets for all your exams, refers to it in your letters. They may be smart to remove the page you sign, insist that the attendance should be checked against the number of released results. Declare you can not trust those who remove all your information not to remove the page you sign in the attendance sheets.
No matter what, the exams and records you have some of your released results where your matric number is included.

I'm facing a challenge that I've been racking my brain to find a solution, but I still don't know what to do. I will be happy to get some help here.

I got ission into a Federal Polytechnic in 2014, and started the programme with so much excitement. I was told that the school was tough for students, especially for those in my department, so I was ready for whatever would come my way.

During the 2-year degree, I put in efforts and was one of the best students in the department. Most of the lecturers knew me as one that always scored high marks in their tests and departments. It's important I state this.

The problem came during my final semester when my project supervisor started making demands for financial settlement. I was very low on cash that period and didn't even want to give it cos I felt I could get a decent result with my efforts, so I confided in a lecturer friend who took it upon himself to talk to his fellow lecturer.

When he approached my supervisor on a one-to-one basis, my supervisor flared up, denying ever making such a request. He eventually declined to be my supervisor, and reported the matter to the HOD.

Now, the thing is, my HOD came from the same region as that my supervisor and that already made things difficult because of the sentiments. I was summoned and made to apologise to the supervisor. It took a lot of begging to get him to be my supervisor again as the HOD refused transferring me to any other lecturer for supervision. It was either that lecturer or no one else.

I finally did all that had to be done and left school, awaiting my final results. When it was released, that lecturer gave me Ds in his two courses and gave me D in project. Most of my classmates couldn't believe it cos I usually topped the class. Even though I would have hit distinction if I was given the grades I deserved, my final CGPA when it was checked was 3.29.

Now, here is the issue. I've been trying to collect my result so I can further my education but all efforts have proved abortive. The first shocker is that my result suddenly could not be found in the department. That was strange because the implication there is that I never graduated.

Someone decided to help me check from the Polytechnic's complex and my result was also no where to be found. It means my result was never transmitted to the Exam and Records office from my department.

Now, I'm getting asked if I ever attended school. All indicators keep pointing to that lecturer and the HOD as thos behind my ordeal. I'm even shocked at how far people can go to ruin other people just because they wouldn't bend to their desires. That's two years of my life that's about to be wiped off!!!

I need advice on what to do. Some people are asking that I should let it go but I have decided to fight this matter from all possible fronts. Funny thing now is that, I'm about to forfeit an ission I got this year because I can't get my ND results. I need help, please.

The profile of my sister who is serving Npower in Delta State was placed on hold, and she has met the Principal to issue her a letter of attestation clearing her, which the Principal has fulfilled.

The issue here is that she tried submitting the letter to the local government focal person, but he is requesting that she travel to Asaba, the state capital to submit it and also give the man-in-charge N30,000.

Please, is that the new process to lift HOLD on profiles? Is money requested when Npower put a profile on hold?

I will appreciate a quick and concise response from you on the official process to follow when a participant of the Npower program wants to lift the hold and full disclosure on the amount of money required.

I also will like to know if this can be submitted via Npower email and how to escalate this issue to the appropriate authority if necessary.

So I’ve never actually brought a personal issue to this forum, but this one is beyond me and I don’t know the best course of action to take here. I believe that there are people here who may have had a similar experience or might know what best to do. This may be a bit long.

So there’s this neighbor of mine whom I have an after-school agreement with. She’s a stay-at-home mum with two kids (a nursing baby and a four-year-old) while I have one child (also four). I usually leave my office at 4:00pm, so the agreement is, after-school at 12:30pm, I’ll go pick up the kids (they go to the same school) and return to work while she watches my son for me. I get my son his lunch and snacks before he goes there, even though she’s begged me to stop doing that, but I can’t saddle her with feeding a child that’s not hers.

The issue now is, a lot of violent things have happened in that house and as of this week, my son won’t be returning there. But I fear for the woman. Our homes are separated by a wall, but we often hear the arguing and crying sometimes. I knew she was having marital issues but I didn’t know the extent.

About two weeks ago, I went to get my son from the house and I noticed he wasn’t talking as usual. My son is the very boisterous type who likes to bounce as he walks, and he’ll usually try to take the key from my hand so he’ll open the door himself. That day, he wasn’t talking as usual. He seemed scared and shaken up. I knew the woman would sometimes punish the kids by asking them to kneel down when they fought, but she wouldn’t hit them. I asked him what the issue was, if anyone at school or home had been looking for his trouble, the guy said no.
He’s very close to his father (they are best friends), so when my husband came home I asked him to talk to the boy because he couldn’t choke his food down. After about a while, my son opened up. Apparently, he’d witnessed a very violent beating that he was struggling to find the right words to explain. He said that David’s father had been punching his mother in the age with two hands at a time, and when she’d tried to run, he brought her back and beat her more. He said that he and David had to hide under the table because they were scared of getting hurt. He then said the mother raised a flower vase and hit him on his head, but the man continued beating her and shouting at her.

I didn’t know what to say. My son had witnessed a violent beating and it traumatized him. We soothed the boy and told him to forget about it. I then knew why the woman didn’t come out to hand him over as she usually did when I went to get him. He just came to me by himself.
The next day, I was skeptical about taking my son back there but he said he doesn’t want to stop playing with David and Sandra (the one-year-old baby). After school, I picked the boys up and drove them home. David’s mom came to the door and her face was badly bruised. I had to ask her what was wrong, but she hurriedly said she fell down and then took the kids from me.

On Friday last week, two days ago, the worst happened. It was around 3:00 or 3:30 when the woman called me at work. I picked the phone up and it was my son. He said that David’s mummy was lying on the floor and wasn’t opening her eyes. He said she was still moving but she couldn’t open her eyes. That blood was coming out her nose and mouth and their daddy had driven away. My heart literally flew out of my chest.

I called my husband as I was driving home and told him to meet us at the hospital. Long story cut short, she was badly battered and torn apart, almost about to give up life. I took her and all the kids to the hospital. While they were cleaning her wounds and hooking her up to the IV, I sorted out the bills. My husband tried to reach out to hers but he was rejecting the calls, so he went to make a statement at the area police command. They told us to them once she wakes up to give her statement. The police doesn’t usually like to dabble into marital issues but the woman was disfigured beyond imagination.

Sadly, you won’t believe what she said when she came to after a few hours. She started begging us to not report to anybody and not even call her family. That she’ll refund us the hospital bills and we should just call her friend that lives in New Haven to come and look after her. She was trying to protect the beast that had beaten her and left her for dead. We tried to reason with her because the man would certainly kill her sooner or later. She said he’s her husband and the father of her kids, bla bla bla. She told us that she’d been confronting him about a girl he’d been gallivanting openly with him, and that’s been the cause of all their issues.

She told me to use my number and call her husband because he doesn’t have me as a . I called him and told him the wife he tried to kill was in the hospital. He told me that she had better remain there because he’ll kill her if she ever comes near his house again. He hung up on me. She’s still insisting that he doesn’t mean it and she must go back once she’s discharged.

The issue now is, should we withdraw the police report or take the case up? The woman’s life is in danger and she doesn’t seem to understand the seriousness of her situation, writing it off as momentary anger. I don’t know why women choose to remain in these violent situations even when they have children to live for. She’s not even thinking about her one-year-old who has been with me all weekend.

Mature advice is needed here. Pease push to front page. I don’t know if we’ll be overstepping our boundaries by trying to help her.

Please find a non-governmental organization brief them, let them take over the case. Please inform them that you do not want the battered wife to know you report the case. And for sure, if it gets to court, you and the children can be witnesses.
See if the woman go back to that violent and abusive marriage and lost her life in the future, you may NEVER forgive yourself. Save her life before considering marriage. Seriously, not helping her out is endangering the life and future of those kids. God has put you in a position to help, please help indirectly through NGOs. Don't withdraw the police report.

From your first post, you have concluded that the reason for your husband's behavior is that he has another lady outside. This might not be true, until you know what exactly causes his anger, you may never get the best of him.

Is he having difficulty in his work place? Is there any trouble or problem with his family eating him up? Did you people already have a child? If yes, was the child gender same as his expectations? Did he a plan or project he wish he could have completed or you help with? Did you know what exactly he is expecting from that you are not giving? Like asking him about his well-being, how is work is going...giving him moral .

Because they asked federal government to increase the minimum wage from 18k to 30k of which they thought it will reflect on other workers that earning more than 30k monthly. Federal government only want to make sure that if your salary is more than 30k before There's no any reason to increase your salary. Ngige is actually correct, minimum wage issue is different from general salary review. Minimum wage main aim is to protect the least paid workers/employees and to increase adequately paid employees. Unfortunately, there must be structural adjustments to salaries on the basis of fairness. Basically, if a company or government is paying more than N30k for all her employees, he will not adjust the salaries of her employees.

I can't doubt your post because I had same issue at Ikoyi Immigration Office early this year. I think there was a welcome notice when you access the pre-enrolment webpage (see attached picture). While I have never interact with their customer care agents, I believe we should start reporting these centers through their official channels and social media. I was at one of the NIN centre in Abeokuta on Friday 4th of October, to get myself ed, on getting there I inquired from people I met on ground how to go about things.
I was told to go out to a nearby fuel station to get the form. at the station, the fuel attendant (a lady to be precise) told me I am to pay a fee of a hundred Naira before I can get the form.
questioning the act the young lady only turn to whatever it was she was reading before my arrival without giving a damn I was there standing. after I payed for the form, i returned to the center to fill out the form only to hear people at about 5 minutes past 10, saying they've stop the collection of form till the next day which would be today Monday.
please is it the standard procedure to buy this form as a citizen or a foreigner intending to naturalize?

Most of those that purchase such form are those who have not take the option of online registration. The ladies was charging you for the service he has rendered, that is, the service of helping you to visit the NIMC website, and print the enrolment form for easy pick up by people like you. Your N100 was not for the form but the service of getting the form on demand without stress.

If you want to get your enrolment form free of charge, then you are to visit their website to pre-enrolled yourself and print out the filled pre-enrolment form with bar code OR and print the enrolment form yourself, fill it and take it to their registration center for biometrics and photographs.
