How did you leave your initial job?

The woman conclusion about you may not be connected with how you worked with her but how you left the job. You may not have known type of buttons she has been pressing because of you, only for you to tender your resignation. At least, she accommodate your inadequacies while you worked with her without reporting you or recommending that you should be sent back to your outsourced company.

Sometimes we need to reflect on recommendations that people gave on us. The woman comment might just be the best description of who you are as at the period you worked with her, because you are not the only new recruit in the same situation. You might be surprised to know how many people in your situation that the woman has experienced. God may have allow that mistake to happen for you to hear and make amend for possible future better offer coming your way. Don't live in self defense and denied blaming your attitude to work on your situation. Who knows whether that has also been the reason you are yet to get or sustain a good job after you left the initial one.

Now from your narration, you have from your parent, your colleagues and supervisors and you cannot survive with their s for a month. And I am sure the comes more than once until everybody realized that you are just what the woman described you to be and stop giving you . Secondly, you sometimes absent yourself from work, come to work late, don't meet your target, etc. Seriously, your condition wasn't the cause but your attitude to work. There are thousands of people who are in worst situations than you and survive the one and half months before pay. Moreover, if you have good attitude to work, relate well with people in the branch (operations and marketing staff), and not selective in assigned work, you can't be complaining of lack of .

Though you might have been a changed person now, but at as that period of time the woman description of you is just the best description of who you are. My brother, think about it and make positive adjustments. May I also tell you never to include her as reference or better exclude that experience from your CV.

I wish you better job and new life to work.

Are they presenting this in court? That they trained the adhoc staff on how to transmit results electronically and budget to maintain "elections results server" (if actually it exist) does not translate to that the election results was transmitted electronically.

Performance is not rated on planned activities but on actual activities. What they have to proof in court is that on the election day, votes were electronically casted, results were electronically collated and transmitted by INEC. And not that INEC announced, planned, trained and budgeted for election results servers or some sort.

Do they actually conducted the elections as planned or not. In fact, weeks to the election INEC announced that they cannot proceed as planned because the Telecommunications companies declared that they did not have adequate infrastructure and coverage including the setback of the new electoral law that was not signed. Logically, INEC preparation was solely on the assumption that the amended electoral law may come into effect before the election days. The supposed amended electoral law that was rejected, which INEC was privacy to, make electronic transmission of results compulsory. So it is proactive to make provisions for such in case it was signed. It was a great relief to INEC and Nigerian electoral process, considering available technical and technological infrastructures.

The only server that INEC has in the server that holds information about the total accredited voters per polling units, which in face of Nigeria law, can not be relied on for the purpose of validating accredited voters. Though some sort of positions were said to have been reached on INEC constitutional power to regulate electoral process and issues guidelines but the last Supreme Court judgment on reliability on Card Readers to determine number of voters per polling unit is null and void.

And Idiagbon work under whose government? I think there is a spectacular thing about the Principal of both Idiagbon and Osinbajo that need to be appreciated. Their principal allow them to showcase the best in them without unnecessary interference. It will be a fair thing to recognize their Principal and honour him so that all subsequent Principals will emulate his leadership styles.

From your post, Custom didn't increase import duties leading to importer paying more in Naira due to review in exchange rate. It is more correct to say importer are to pay more duties as Custom review exchange rate upward. They charge same amount and percentage in foreign currency but review the Naira rate upwards.

Hmmm... Giving excuses for failure. If he was actually guilty and not a setup by Saraki and his gang, he would have been dealt with seriously.
There is possibility of taking or protecting the mace from being hijack to pave way to impeach Saraki and later seen an opportunity to use it against him.

Wrong assumption. Some APC can be part of the 28 votes casted for Ndume.
The right word should have been "not less than 17 PDP Lawmakers ed Lawan".

So, of what use is PDP endorsement? Why the switch to Ekweremadu for DSP?

I will advise you to retire from politics. I told you, that since you move to PDP in the pre 2015 general election, changed moniker, deleted and modified your old moniker posts and comments, you have lost your political analytics skills because of "pot of porridge".

Good luck to you.
TonyeBarcanista:

I have observed the lobbying and politics surrounding the race for National Assembly presiding officers and I think it is incumbent on me to air my opinion on why NASS -elect, Peoples Democratic Party and Nigerians should resist Senator Ahmed Lawan and Hon Femi Gbajabiamila for the positions of Senate President and Speaker of House of Representative respectively.

1. Gbajabiamila Candidacy Is Against Equitable Distribution of Offices:
Having produced the Vice President of Nigeria, it becomes natural that another geopolitical zone in the country produce the number 4 citizen as it has been the tradition since 1999.

It may be recalled that at the return of the fourth republic, the Southwest produced the President, the Northeast had the Vice President, the Southeast had the Senate President and the Northwest produced Speaker of House of Representative and this arrangement lasted until 2007. Same tradition of equitable distribution was upheld in 2007-2011 when the Northwest produced the President, the Southsouth had the Vice President, the North central had Senate President while the Southwest had the Speaker through Patricia Etteh and Dimeji Bankole respectively. The arrangement was bound to be maintained until Aminu Tambuwal with from the opposition as at then disrupted the arrangement, gifted the northwest 2 out of the 4 top offices and denied the Southwest and the entire south the position of Speaker. It however was restored in 2015 with NW (President), SW (VP), NC (Senate President) and NE (Speaker)

If those people in Bourdillon road that are fronting Femi Gbajabiamila candidacy were fair to the South and the nation, they would have presented someone from the Southeast or Southsouth for the position instead of another person from Southwest. The excuse that both zones didn't give APC ranking or House aren't tenable this time around.

Gbaja's candidacy is simply anti-south agenda by some sectional elements in Lagos. It is also anti-Nigeria agenda as it seeks to reward a particular zone with 2 out of the top for offices in the country leaving other 5 zones to scramble for 2 offices.

2. Gbajabiamila Candidacy Is Anti-Southwest:

The Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has Lagos has his political base and he's more loyal to Lagos than his native Ogun state. Femi Gbajabiamila is also of Lagos state and his puppeteers want to make him speaker, meanwhile, there are other APC Rep in Ogun, Osun, Oyo, Ekiti and Ondo states but they ignored them and narrowed it to Femi so as to serve their own selfish interest. These same people refused to Hon Lasun the outgoing Deputy Speaker even though he's Yoruba all through his four years tenure simply because he wasn't their anointed. It clearly shows that contrary to what Femi sponsors would want the people of southwest to believe, they are pushing Femi to represent them not the zone.

3. Northcentral Or Dogara Should Get Speakership:
Personally, I believe equity demands that the position of Senate President or Speaker should go to a Rep member from either the Southeast or Southsouth zone, but since this may not be feasible due to political realities, I think the PDP, NASS -elect and Nigerians should a credible and independent person from the North central for the position, or if by slim chance Yakubu Dogara stand a chance, he should be ed. As stated above, it will be unpatriotic and evil to reward Southwest the position of Speaker when they have the office of Vice President while zones like Northcentral, Southeast and southsouth are left with nothing.

4. PDP Can Stop Ahmad Lawan SP Bid:

With forty three Senators-elect already, PDP need at least thirteen aggrieved APC Senators-elect to defeat Ahmad Lawan, the unpopular anointed of the APC for the Senate President seat. Already aggrieved APC Senators-elect like Uzor Kalu of Abia, Ali Ndume of Borno and Danjuma Goje of Gombe and their ers have vowed to challenge for the seat in June and with the traditional secret ballot system of voting. I have no doubt that PDP would either produce someone among them as Senate President or endorse one of the aggrieved as PDP adopted candidate. I will see how Lawan will emerge Senate President or whether Adams Oshiomole will be able to rig him in.

5. We Did It In 2015, We Can Do It Again

About four years ago, specifically, June 7, 2015, I, alongside loyalists of PDP, openly called on PDP leaders and NASS -elect to counter the anointing of Senator Ahmed Lawan and Hon Femi Gbajabiamila by voting for Senator Bukola Saraki and Hon Yakubu Dogara for the positions of Senate President and Speaker of House of Representative respectively! We triumphed against all odd. (Ref: https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com/2362944/open-campaign-adoption-sen-saraki).

May God Bless Us and Bless Nigeria

I your epistle on Makarfi and I told you that PDP will not give him the ticket but you are over confidence that Makarfi will win, only to be left with a choice that you have in your past year wrote against just like Obasanjo.

In your political wisdom, you should know that the political environment of APC in 2015 is different from 2019. In 2015, APC won with over 3 blocks of political powers who are struggling to hold substantial power/influence in the party, most especially the PDP/Atiku block. But in 2019 they won as a single block APC (Buhari/Oshiomole/Tinubu) block. Also, time was not on their side to solve their differences in 2015 as they were still battling with post elections crisis before the resumption of the NASS... Seems your political analysing skills is fast declining in this recent time.

But until after the NASS presiding officers are elected, I have no more comments.

So the speech on TVC is different from other channels?

Everyone will rate the speech according to their biased mind. The only one that is better is the one that majority voted for. Thank God it is a secret ballot that allows for to vote their candidates against party wish.

The main issue is if you can't pay for parking, please ensure we go long distances to allow me cover for the waiting time at Surulere.

The request was not bad but the respond was not considerate enough. The real issue is the attitude before the request was made. The customer according to her perceived social status expect some level of "special respect" from the driver, got irritated by how the driver questioned her about the journey before taking off. The driver was also pissed off by the customer attitude in given full details about the journeys, until he realised she was a celebrity. So, when the driver was given an inconsiderate answer, he responded unprofessionally because of the initial manner he was treated by the customer.

In summary, Khloe is very disrespectful and had no regards for people below her status (as evidence by her narration that people around forces with the driver to humiliate her), and the UBER driver reacted unprofessional by taking the reaction personal, he should know he is driving for an organization.

U guys just fail to understand igbos ...we are greedy like most tribes for positions ....we just like being carried along like everyone ...we can make sacrifice for the common goal

U can never make an igbo man bend forget it not even the brithish did ...APC wants igbos to be submissive they want to bully or blackmail us to submission ....that would only have the negative effects

If APC had given another explanation why it didn't zone a position to the south east and it was logical sure we would understand. ....same with 2023 presedency

U just have to understand u can never force and igbo man to submission
Okay, best of all good lucks.
But the question will now be, was PDP reasons logical?

Have you seen this post? Two Northerners endorsed by PDP. My assumption is the South has more PDP senators than the north. One thing politicians do is to play ALL cards against the opposition to eliminate or suppressed their influence or not able to achieve their targets.
As I say in the other thread, do not be caught in the web of this politicians when they are playing their cards against the most influential or ruling party.

we all saw APC as an alternative to PDP ....in 2007 to 2011 only deputy speaker was zoned to the south east ...we didn't complain u know why because no one made us feel less nigerian

Call PDP all the names u want but never did they divide nigeria as much as APC ...never did pdp neglect a region based on the fact they didint get votes there

Thats y its a national party

Finally the truth is the truth APC has absolutely no excuse not to give the south east a sense of belonging

But if they chose not to its there luck ....they would lose the fees igbos like me who them ...u never know tomorrow u know
Oga you really do not understand Nigeria politics or better still you are looking at it through ethnic lens.

PDP is actually the party the divided Nigeria along ethnic and religious line through their unguided campaign utterances during the 2015 elections. It was 2015 elections that established hatred in Nigeria along ethnic and religious line. Please go back and check pre-2014 Nigeria Politics and post-2014, then research to known when the issue of hatred along religious, tribes and ethnic started to be well pronounced and established.

After, you can again look at your post for necessary review.

On your last two paragraphs, I think we need to leave that to the politicians and party people to decide. You see, even Ekweremadu is ing APC choice of candidates, same with majority of PDP HoR . Those guys knows the rules and also know how to play public sympathy politics. Don't be caught in their web. But, one thing I am very sure of is that NASS has Eight influencial officers SP, DSP, Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Majority and Minority Leaders. If APC choices were elected (or appointed) as preferred, SE will definitely be given majority leader in either of the chamber.

Good morning nairalanders

Plz I really need ur advice,i opened a thread last year whether to focus on my skill or continue with education where I got different response to continue with education but now I'm thinking in a different way.
My skill is still there which i'm unable to use here in school, but I found out another source of income(which is LEGIT) but this source clashes with my time table in school

I have to be online from 1:00pm-11:00pm (which is 7:00am-5:00pm over there but sometimes I might jst be online for 3-4hrs and still make better stuffs and jst log out ) to be able to a meet up with things.

I did this last month not up to two weeks and I'm able to make more than 100,000 which i'm very happy
So my main concern now is that is it advisable for me to leave school and focus more on this stuff I'm doing (I'm in 100l and we are in our second semester and lecture started last week which handicapped me from doing this work)

Because it is very impossible for me to be in the lecture hall and be running this stuff because i'm already concluding that I shd jst leave this sch and go rent a small apartment and continue this work I'm doing
So Plss ADVICE is urgently needed for me to know the path to follow so as not to regret later
Have you consider online education though it will cost almost double or
Consider converting your full-time to part-time, at least you can sacrifice Friday evenings and Saturdays for your education.

So u see
First, we need to recognize the house rule of becoming a Speaker. The aspirant must be a ranking member, at least. Secondly, it is logical that a party s his own member to get the Speakership.
Now, please mention any APC from SE that is a ranking member? Also, do you think it fair and right to denied a ranking and loyal that has been Majority Leader the Speakership. You see, in politics there are things that are right and fair beyond federal character. Moreover, is it not the same SS and SE senators and HoRs that thought it right to give both Speakership and Senate President to the North? So it is right to have Northern as the President, Senate President and Speaker when PDP want the take governance control from APC? The South East were being treated nice then àbí? Or may be the SE sacrifice their right in the interest of national unity and want to pick it up now?
Please, there is a word called politics, the only thing that is right and fair is that thing that is acceptable by the majority.
If the majority see it your way, then it is right and fair. Politics and governance are different things, our constitution recognised federal character for government but no law regulate what is fair and right in politics except the "law of the majority".
