Even in Imo State especially Mbaise people should start war against kidnapping. Most of the kidnappers are masterminded by Mbaise 419ners usually called Mbaise Stars. But unfortunately, government knew all these and are not doing anything about it. Up till now, one of them was caught using his nail industry as a hideout and noting has been done about it and the matter has ended just like that.Shame to our so called country and their govt. Most Nigerian are scared of coming home due to security lapses and most of them are intellectuals who can contribute immensely towards the development of our nation but are scared of coming home. Touts are ruling us and cannot make any change and are only interested in looting our treasury. unfortunately, after all these money looting, their children will end up becoming nuisance.

The Nigeria Union of Journalists is also planning a protest against the general insecurity in the state, especially the abduction of a journalist, Mr. Monday Whiskey, last week.

The Warri Central Hospital has also been shut down, while it was gathered that the kidnappers of the doctor are demanding N100m before releasing her.

Meanwhile, the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly , Mr. Victor Ochei, was conspicuously absent at yesterday’s session of the House which was presided over by the Deputy Speaker, Mr. Basil Ganagana.

The Speaker, it was gathered, was still battling to make s with the abductors of his younger brother, Tobechukwu, on Tuesday in Asaba.

But the Speaker’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Eddy Akpati-Ogude, said the speaker went for another ‘’official assignment’’ and asked the deputy to preside for him.

[quote author=S@NNiE]The founding national chairman of the All
Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief
Chekwas Okorie, has finally dumped the party
and formed the United Peoples Grand Alliance
(UPGA.)
He had voluntarily halted the leadership dispute
in APGA and discontinued all court actions to
that effect, after what he described as soul-
searching meeting with political associates from
the six-geopolitical zones of the country.
Speaking in Abuja where he unveiled UPGA,
which he termed a better and more
sophisticated political machine, Chief Okorie
said the death of the leader of APGA, Chief
Emeka Oju-kwu, had sealed the chan-ces of
advancing the peace initiatives initiated to
resolve the lingering disputes in APGA.
According to him, as it became clear that the
time to move on had come, following the
demise of Ojukwu, he could not, however, ditch
his former party until the completion of the
funeral rites of the former Biafran leader.
He carpeted persons who were said to have
written a protest letter to the Independent
National Electoral Commission (INEC) to halt the
registration of UPGA and wondered why
allegations arose that the new party conflicted
with APGA.
“Anybody who is literate up to primary school,
who can read APGA and UPGA as well as other
acronyms will know that INEC arranges ballot
papers in alphabetical order,” he said.
Speaking further, Chief Okorie said the
constitution of the new party, UPGA, among
other things, would safeguard internal party
democracy, level-playing field for all party
, discipline, ability and periodic
change of leadership at all levels through
elections.
He further noted that the manifesto of the party
laid emphasis on the economic, political and
social empowerment of the Nigerian masses in
whom Nigeria’s sovereignty resided.
“The ideology of UPGA is anchored on
welfarism, liberalism and progressivism,” he
said, adding that the leadership of UPGA would
soon embark on massive consultation and
sensitisation of Nigerians at home and abroad
before the formal launching of the party, after it
must have been formally ed by the
INEC.

Chekwas Okorie has noting to offer and should stop fooling himself. Time has gone for people to stop looking at party but at someone`s credibility. We should opt for a change no longer business as usual. Nigeria and indeed South east is sinking drastically and we should be looking for people who have the capacity to make changes not the opportunist like Theoder Orji, Rochas Okorocha, Martin Agbaso, Orji Uzor Kalu, hope uzodimma, etc.

This is to show you the mentality of people governing us in the 21st century. What is Swimming pool? when almost every house in united states has a swimming pool. Is that a project? When sensitive positions are being used to settle idiots who cannot even defined their understanding about governance.

Rochas is fooling himself- Most of you who are too fanatical about Rochas and his istration are not Imo indegenes. Since his inception as a governor, he has been deceiving himself and probably illitrates who dont really understand what governance is all about. This so called 27billion was one of the first thing he mentioned that he will be given 1billion to each local govt for renovation of schools, up till now no single school has been renovated, not even a class room block. He sacked 10,000 imo youths who were given job by the previous istration with the aim of reviewing the system, uptill now nobody has been reinstated. He's claiming to be providing free education, but from primary to ss1 has been free in d whole federation through UBE project. Even most of these schools are noting to write about xterized by lack of teachers.Even the few teachers Ohakim employed have been sacked. Every month, he will be subjecting these poor teachers to unnecessary embarassment/scrutiny before they will be paid. The worst of it all is that, i heared from a reliable source that he wants to sack some civil servants employed from 2006. What a wicked man! Even these people were employed before the last istration and Ohakim carried everybody along. He cant be robbing peter to pay paul!
Now, he's talking of 27billion for road in each local govt. Another avenue of looting. Lets see from now till december if there will be a single road that will be tared
He has completed plan to relocate IMSU to Ideato orlu in his village, because he's the governor. What of Mbaise/ Ngor okpala where the permanent site is? He feels that the juju which he used in wining election will not fail him this time, it will.
I dont like talking about this man because i know from the onset that he has noting to offer. Illitrate governor!

The truth is that the so called ASUU has no good intentions for nigerian youths and universities. Every time they will be going on strike for their selfish reasons and will be puting the whole blame on the government. These so lecturers are becoming greedy and are equating themselves with politicians. I think is high time for Nigerian students to stand up against this menance in our university system. There are lots of unemployed graduates in d streets who are far better than some of them and yet they are trying to increase their retirement age to 70. What a greedy demand? Majority of them do not teach and prefer sleeping with the female students and sorting as a way of awarding marks and graduating students, and yet they keeping on blaming the govt. Who is graduating the so called unemployable graduates? Is it our mr lecturers or FG? Nigerian Youths shine ur eyes o o. Our so called lecturers are the cause of decay in the university system because of their greed.

It is high time Rochas Okorocha of Imo state to stop beating around the bush and face up with the real business of governance. First of all, the issue of free education is becoming the only thing he knows as the problem of Imo people, incase you're uninformed, from primary school up to JSS 3 is free in the whole Nigeria through UBE policy since 2002. Apart from that, Imo state is not an educational disadvantaged state and produces the highest number of jambites, graduates every year. We also have the highest number of unemployed youths in Nigeria. Why should Rochas be deceiving people in d name of free education? What we need is qualitative education, employment creation, infrastructural development, good road network, clean and serein environment and above all security. It's very miopic for somebody to tell us that the only agenda he has for a highly intellectual state like imo is free education. He should stop fooling himself and tell what we want, he disengaged 8211 workers employed by the previous istration and appointed jobless people whose monthly salary alone can take care of the entire 8211 for 4 years, what a wicked act! He has started wickedly and will end making OHAKIM a hero. Time shall tell, employment creation, infrastructural development, good road network, clean and serein environment and above all security.
