Thank God for journey mercies, now do me and all outsiders proud. Move in cloak and dagger and embark on an extensive North Central mentorship program. May the force be with you grin and , hot water and hot tea pale in comparison to mentorship when it comes to cold wink
You should know outsiders never disappoint grin grin

you are going to have to buy another phone maybe nokia torch and experiment with all the telcos

network is bad all around because the telcos need to raise their prices to match operating cost

more importantly, once you leave major urban areas you will encounter dead zones

in 2013 i was in an accident at ore. no mtn network, no glo. i think it was etisalat that worked.

I don’t think the network being an issue here has to do with the telcos increasing their prices to match cost but it’s always been like that and the indigenes confirmed it

I bought a small itel phone and glo sim thinking glo works more in those rural part but glo turned out the worse

All the networks bar airtel are worse here cause airtel is just a lil better

These guys also know when graduates are going to camp, why can't the government also improve security during this time
Is it not better to use money to improve security than using times 10 to pay ransom
If they budget #100m to share across the country to employe more bodies like amotekun, jtf etc to help soldiers across various checkpoints all over the country
Or better everybody should camp in their various resident states

Even with the insecurities, it's still the best. Kidnappers operate more in the day nowadays
You’re right.

Good ! While writing ur exams , do well to watch out for graduate trainee programs of EY, KPMG, Deloitte , PWC , Accessbank , UBA , Coronation Merchant bank , Heirs Holdings , etc .

Apply to as many of those companies , make sure u write as many aptitude tests as u can and attend as many interviews as u can .

While ur mates are stuck in some village teaching some primary/secondary school subject that adds little or no value to them , u are actively navigating ur way in the labour market . And u might be fortunate to land a good paying job before or by the end of ur service year.

Due to the the serious issues in the Nigerian labor market , it is advisable u start early .
Thanks chief🫡

If u can, please redeploy back to Lagos after ur 3 weeks in camp . In fact , while in camp start processing ur redeployment .

The only advice I can give any graduate posted outside Lagos, Rivers , FCT , etc where things Dey happen and headquarters of companies are located is to relocate back to Lagos and start the job search journey earlier .

I consider spending one full year teaching or working in an LGA council in a place like Plateau or any other part of the north , east , southwest , etc a complete waste of one year.

If u are Lagos within that service year , u will have an advantage over ur peers in the sense that u can apply for graduate trainee roles , internship and other entry level roles while ur mates are busy focusing on teaching in one obscure village .

If u are lucky , u may even get job while still observing ur service year. If I had known this during my own time , I wouldn’t had wasted that full service year teaching , eating and sleeping .
The reason for redeploying is so as to finish My ICAN exams

I'd advise you to approach it from a positive mindset.

One of my best life experiences was when I served in Afuze (Owan East LG), Edo state. My parents were relentless in trying to convincing me to redeploy because it was Edo and all they have heard, but I refused.

Today, I never fail to show kindness to any Edo person I come across because, my goodness, they showed me a lot of genuine love and took me like their own. Infact, I don't allow anyone speak evil about Edo people near me. Their mothers are the best and they have some of best singing voices I have ever heard. I never paid a dime on market days and the guys, while crazy, were just as kind. I still stay in touch with a few and plan to visit the next time I am in Nigeria.

I guess I am just trying to help you see that beyond the issues, this is a life experience that has the capacity of shaping or reshaping your views about certain aspects of life..

Embrace it!
I was speaking of the insecurity of the nation and not the place I was going to

Thank you for the advice and I’ll approach it with positive mind to enjoy the place and I’ve always been the kinda person to blend with anybody wherever I find Myself

A friend of mine that went to camp in plateau last year was telling that I’ll enjoy that place and she assured Me.

I'm guessing you are going to Mangu... That's where NYSC camp is, in Plateau.

I went there during my service days. It was an NCCF Conference. We travelled from Kebbi to Mangu..A full day journey.

I waka well well during my service. Sadly, one cannot try that now, make Ransom collectors no gbe you.
They’ve moved it from Mangu to a temporary location, I think insecurity is the issue for moving from there

The fear of ransome collectors is the beginning of wisdom grin

Safe Journey .

This is Iddo/Oyingbo abi? Most of their p move in the evening . That’s the same place I boarded while going back after the first 3 weeks camp and the break we were given after resuming at PPA .

The good thing about traveling at night is that u will get to ur destination during the day and u will be able to find ur way around .
Amen boss, thanks
Nah, this is Ijora badia and only one bus has moved since and it’s from luxury silver buses

That money you want to waste on transport, why not keep it and wait for next batch, then look for another plug. No go waste one year for farm land.
